Iraqi Army Soldiers Rally Around Mahdi Chair Before Battle With ISIS

Iraqi army and emirs present the chair belonging to the Mahdi to help facilitate his appearance.

The Mahdi is the prophesied redeemer of Islam who will rule for seven, nine or nineteen years (according to differing interpretations) before the Day of Judgment and will rid the world of evil. According to Islamic tradition, the Mahdi’s tenure will coincide with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

The Iranian regime often fantasizes about the Mahdi.
