A female polio worker was seriously injured in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan when locals unleashed their dogs on her.
Pakistan Today reported, via Religion of Peace:

A lady anti-polio vaccinator was critically wounded on Monday when she was bitten by dogs unleashed on her in Dera Ismail Khan.

According to reports, locals unleashed dogs on the lady health worker who was part of an anti-polio team tasked with administering drops in a locality of DI Khan.

The woman was critically injured and shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.

Despite clarifications given by clerics that polio vaccination is not against Islam and the Shariah, some militant and religious groups oppose the administration of polio drops, claiming that anti-polio campaigns are a cover for spying and the vaccine is intended to make Muslim children sterile.

Since July 2012, at least 22 polio workers have been killed in Pakistan.

The UN said this week the spread of polio is a world health emergency. Thanks to the intolerant and ignorant Islamists, a disease that was once almost entirely eradicated is now back on the rise.
