Vladimir Putin signed a decree today officially annexing Crimea into the Russian Federation.
Russia Today reported:
Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the State Council of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov, Sergei Aksenov Prime Minister of Crimea and Sevastopol city commissioner Alexey Chaly signed an agreement on the adoption of the Crimea, including Sevastopol to Russia. From March 18 Ukrainian citizens and stateless persons permanently residing in the day in the Republic of Crimea or in the city of Sevastopol, recognized as citizens of the Russian Federation.
Sergei Aksenov, the Russian appointed Prime Minister of Crimea, is a former street thug whose party won 4% of the vote in the last election.
Vladimir Putin lashed out at the United States saying the United States is guided by the “rule of the gun” in foreign policy.
