This past weekend friends, family, special guests, fellow patriots and several doctors helped me celebrate “Jim Hoft Live” here in St. Louis.
One of the special guests that evening was Dr. Dawn Hui, a very distinguished heart surgeon at St. Louis University Hospital. Dawn assisted Dr. Richard Lee and saved my life back in September. In fact, I was later told I had only days to live when they operated on my heart. Dr. Hui is also an accomplished violinist and spent a year in the Hong Kong Philharmonic before moving into medicine.
On Saturday she played for us at our celebration of life.
