Recently, Arizona passed a law that would allow state businesses to practice their religious beliefs – even if that meant not serving a cake to a gay couple for their wedding ceremony. Similar religious protection legislation has been introduced in Ohio, Mississippi, Idaho, South Dakota, Tennessee and Oklahoma.
In response to this ABC’s Matthew Dowd compared the law to radical Islam.
That may be a wee bit extreme considering Christians the Arizona Christians are not flying planes into buildings or shooting adultrous women in the head. Some businesses just don’t want to bake wedding cakes for gays… While plenty of other bakeries don’t have a problem with it.
