Obama: If I Could Bypass Congress on Immigration “I Would Do So” …(Just Like With DREAM Act)

President Obama was confronted onstage by a protester yesterday calling on him to use executive power to bypass Congress on amnesty. The protesters in the crowd standing behind the president then started chanting, “Stop deportation!”

Barack Obama responded,

“If, in fact, I could solve all these problems without passing them through Congress, I would do so,”

Via National Review:

He wasn’t lying (this time).
In fact, he’s already done it .
Barack Obama bypassed Congress on the DREAM Act in June 2012. His executive order stopped the deportation of young illegal immigrants.

So, when he says he should bypass Congress, he means it.
