Breaking: St. Louis Rams May Call in Tim Tebow

Word on the street is that Tim Tebow – may be brought in now that Rams QB Sam Bradford was hurt during Sunday’s game.
SI.NFL reported:

The St. Louis Rams “have discussed signing Tim Tebow,” Mike Silver of the NFL Network reported. That news comes on the heels of starting St. Louis QB Sam Bradford suffering a serious knee injury.

But before everyone goes nuts on the Tebow-as-St. Louis savior storyline, Silver himself tempered the rumor: “I believe it’s unlikely they’ll actually sign him,” he later tweeted.

A long-term injury to Bradford would force St. Louis to look elsewhere for help, though. Kellen Clemens replaced Bradford on Sunday in a 30-15 loss to Carolina; he finished 2-of-4 for 19 yards. The Rams do not have another quarterback, either on their current roster or their practice squad, so at the very least they would need to add some protection for Clemens. Tebow does appear to be a longshot, however. On Monday morning, St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Jim Thomas also shot down the possibility that the Rams could bring in Tebow.
