A Utah store owner bought a gun several years ago but never had to use it. Then last week a would-be robber came into the store brandishing a knife. The store owner pulled out his gun, told the robber to drop his knife and watched him flee.
KSL reported:
“I pulled out my gun and I said, ‘Just leave your knife here and leave the store.’ And he left.”
Guns Saves Lives has more.
A convenience store owner in Utah says he has kept a pistol handy for five years for protection.
The first time he had to reach for it was on Monday when a knife wielding man walked into the store and demanded money.
The owner drew his pistol and said, “I pulled out my gun and I said, ‘Just leave your knife here and leave the store.’ And he left.”
The suspect was arrested at a nearby Kentucky Fried Chicken shortly after the attempted robbery.
Yet another example of a defensive gun use that will not be included in most statistics or studies because no shots were fired and no one was killed.
