Gee, What a Shock… Code Pink Radicals Disrupt John Brennan Hearing (Video)

Gee, who could have seen this coming?
Code Pink radicals disrupted John O. Brennan’s hearing today on Capitol Hill.

The Washington Times has more on the ruckus.

John O. Brennan couldn’t even finish introducing his family before he was interrupted four times by protesters at his confirmation hearing Thursday to become the new director of the CIA.

Intelligence committee Chairwoman Dianne Feinstein halted the hearing and pulled Mr. Brennan from the room until it could be cleared of protesters, who she said were affiliated with Code Pink, the anti-war group.

Mr. Brennan, who is President Obama’s homeland security adviser, is one of the chief architects of U.S. policy in the war on terror, and senators said they are eager to question him about the administration’s program to use drones to execute American citizens deemed to be part of the war on terror overseas.

“Think about the mothers,” cried one female protestor.

Others wore signs around their necks bearing the names of people they said were civilian casualties of the lethal U.S. strikes, known to be carried out in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia by armed, remotely piloted drone aircraft.

  • code pink is NOT an anti-war group, they are a pro-communist group that supports anybody that is fighting for a one world marxist dictatorship.

The protesters were escorted outside where they were rushed to the WH for their paychecks.

  • Sasja

They’re a bunch of fruit loops.

  • The Central Scrutinizer

All should be charged with felonies as per HR 347 just signed into law, but I am guessing that is only designed to punish people on the right who dare to protest the tyrant’s administration.

The delicious irony is that Code Pink totally supported Barry in both elections, and only NOW do they protest that their hoped-for Messiah is as much a war monger as they accused Bush of being. Even Senator Boxer(?) was disgusted with their antics now, after being openly supportive of what Code Pink did when Bush was in office.

Yup. Not a peep from the left re. the drone strikes. Damn hypocrites.

  • Bobbi

Feinstein needs to take his drones away. Put that in her gun control bill.

  • L.barney

Sure they did but see how fast the

Dems cleared the room? They let one of those goons raise her “bloody hands” at Condi’ Rice’s face!

It was great to hear DiFi call them by name,

saying they needed to keep the Code PinkOs out of there.

Hey, Di! I thought they were on your side…workin’ for Barry.

    All around the world…

  • JR

Actually, I’m surprised they are protesting while their false messiah is in the presidency. One of the very few examples of non-hyprocisy from leftists.

RE #11 — trying to find defector Bezmenov’s clip on YouTube that tells us the commies told him to ignore the leftists who’re the Useful Idiots (like Code Pinkos who will be shocked, SHOCKED, that their utopia isn’t materializing)…

and instead recruit the ones who can look you in the eye and LIE without flinching (think Hill, Bill and Barry)…here’s a bit of it at the 50sec. mark —

there’s much more on other videos…

is our pathetic little jharp one of the “demoralized”? They won’t believe the truth no matter how many facts you put before them.

  • Old White Man

I really think America needs to bring back public whippings for low class criminal offenses – like disrupting the peace, etc.

  • mark1973

This is a collaborative smokescreen between The Obama administration and Code Pink. They both figured, that by having Code Pink crash the Brennan hearings, the could con the American people into believing, “That if Code Pink is protesting against Brennan, How bad can he be”? That way, the confirmation of the radically left Brennan is eased.

  • DomesticGoddess

#14 – you nailed it. Brennan is an Obamabot and complete idiot. The left is planting their minions everywhere to sway opinion. We need to have our antennaes up all the time.

Herb Titus going after Barry again —

Also, conspicuously missing from the Justice Department’s constitutional analysis is any recognition that the Founders already balanced the life, liberty, and property interests of an American citizen suspected of “levying war against [the United States], or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort,” and provided them the specific procedural protections in Article III of the Constitution. When a U.S. citizen is suspected of treason, the constitutional remedy is not to invent new crimes subject to the summary execution at the pleasure of the president and his attorneys. In Federalist No. 43, James Madison proclaimed that the Treason Clause would protect citizens “from new-fangled and artificial treasons … by inserting a constitutional definition of the crime, fixing the proof necessary for conviction of it[.]” To that end, the Constitution does not permit the Obama lawyers to invent an elastically defined offense of “an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States,” in substitution for the constitutionally concrete definition of “levying war against [the United States], or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.”

Moreover, Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution requires trial in “open court” — not in some secret “war room” in an undisclosed location. That same section of Article III requires proof by “the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession” — not by a unilateral “determin[ation] that the targeted individual poses an imminent threat of an attack against the United States.” Finally, as is true of “all crimes,” Article III, Section 2 requires “trial … by jury” on a charge of treason, not trial by some unidentified “high-level official of the U.S. government[,]” no matter how well-“informed” he may be. In short, the Constitution provides that an American citizen must be tried and punished according to the judicial process provided for the crime of treason, not according to some newfangled and artificial executive “process” fashioned by nameless collection of lawyers.

Can we please give the capitol police authorization to beat, mace, and taser these freaks?!?! There is a time and place for protests, for lefties it needs to be in the middle of a busy freeway where no one has brakes and the accelerator is stuck :). Filthy Hippies!
