DETROIT WANTS A BAILOUT – THEY SAY OBAMA OWES IT TO THEM–
Detroit Council Member Joann Watson told a city committee in December that Barack Obama should bail out the bankrupt city in a quid pro quo for the city’s overwhelming support for him in the November election.
“After the election of Jimmy Carter the honorable Coleman Alexander Young, he went to Washington and came back home with some bacon. That’s what you do. That’s what you do. Our people in an overwhelming way supported the reelection of this president. And there ought to be a quid pro quo and he ought to exercise leadership on that. Of course, not just that, by why not?”
It’s the least Barack could do.
