It’s an Obama world.
The Obama Administration is setting aside 1.7 million acres in Colorado and Utah for the Gunnison Sage Grouse.

Gunnison Sage-Grouse

There are an estimated 4,612 grouse left in the wild.
So it comes out to 368 acres for each grouse.

And, if you figure that each acre is worth around $500-$1000 dollars, then you can assume the Obama Administration is investing around $184,000 per bird.

It’s good to be a grouse.
The Denver Post reported:

Federal biologists have found that Gunnison sage grouse are going extinct — victims of road, power-line and housing development in western Colorado.

But the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposes to protect survivors as endangered species using 1.7 million acres in southwest Colorado and southeast Utah.

The chicken-size, ground-nesting birds are prone to flying into barbed-wire fences and are famed for their loud mating dances…

…An estimated 4,612 grouse, fewer than one-tenth of their historical population, have survived in fragments around western Colorado.

  4. How much of Utah is left? Between Indian Reservations, National Parks and Monuments, this and other “protected areas”, there isn’t much left of the state. West Point: ‘Far right’ dangerous to U.S.

[Former FBI counterterrorism officer and terrorism analyst and
consultant John Guandolo says the study is another example
of the continuing ideological shift of the national security
apparatus away from the real terrorism threat to the United
    States – Islamic terrorism.

“That shift has already been made. The Department of Homeland
Security has codified it in their internal language. Veterans and
Christians are the threat. Muslims are all peaceful and there is
nothing more to see here,” Guandolo said.

He cited John Brennan, the nominee to be the
next CIA director, and his vocal defense of Islam.

In a speech delivered Aug. 9, 2009, to the Center for Strategic and
International Studies that is archived on the White House website,
Brennan said using “a legitimate term, ‘jihad’ – meaning to purify
oneself or to wage a holy struggle for a moral goal” – to describe
terrorists “risks reinforcing the idea that the United States is
somehow at war with Islam itself.”]

    Terror czar (Brennan) deserves honorary
membership in the Muslim Brotherhood ..

[.] Brennan’s comments demonstrate extreme negligence and a complete lack of understanding of the complexities of political Islam and the agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood. AIFD is horrified that the nation’s leading expert on counterterrorism would allow himself to become a shill for the very political movement (Islamism) which ultimately fuels the radicals from which he is expected to protect the United States.

Defeating the ideology of Political Islam (Islamism) needs to be the focal point of the United States efforts at ending Islamist extremism. Yet again we see a highly placed government official unable to identify and discuss the root of the threat. Brennan was more focused, if not obsessed, on appealing to the narrative of victimology that is being perpetuated by well-funded Islamists in the American Muslim communities. His inability to even mention the words “political Islam” speaks volumes on the administrations capability to confront the radicals the United States is increasingly facing.]

re: [See, environmentalism has never been about the “environment”,
except in words designed to pull the heartstrings of the Caring. It
has always and ever been about power, and the acquisition thereof.]

Prophet Mohammed: A Pioneer of the Environment

    [Sustainable Use of Land

"The earth has been created for me as a mosque and as a means of purification." [Al-Bukhari I:331] With these words the Prophet emphasizes the sacred nature of earth or soil, not only as a pure entity but also as a purifying agent. This reverence towards soil is also demonstrated in the ritual of tayammum, or “dry wudu” which permits the use of dust in the performance of ritual purification before prayer when water is not available. The Prophet (SAW) saw earth as subservient to man, but recognised that it should not be overexploited or abused, and that it had rights, like the trees and wildlife living on it. In order to protect land, forests and wildlife, the Prophet created inviolable zones known as hima and haram, in which resources were to be left untouched. Both are still in use today: haram areas are often drawn up around wells and water sources to protect the groundwater table from over-pumping. Hima applies particularly to wildlife and forestry and usually designates an area of land where grazing and woodcutting are restricted, or where certain animal species are protected.

The Prophet (SAW) not only encouraged the sustainable use of fertile lands, he also told his followers of the benefits of making unused land productive: planting a tree, sowing a seed and irrigating dry land were all regarded as charitable deeds. “Whoever brings dead land to life, that is, cultivates wasteland, for him is a reward therein.”]

    example 2:

A COVENANT FOR A NEW AMERICA

“I am confident that we can create a Kingdom right here on Earth.”

‘We are God’s partners in matters of life and death’

‘my individual salvation is not gonna come about
without a collective salvation for the country’ ….
