RALLY FOR TEXAS INDEPENDENCE Tuesday at State Capitol in Austin

Rally Tuesday for the complete, total and unencumbered political, cultural and economic independence of Texas.

The Texas Nationalist Movement will hold a rally Tuesday at the state Capitol in Austin.

Texans will gather at the NORTH steps of the Capitol in Austin on Tuesday, January 8th (the opening day of the 2013 Legislative session) at Noon to show their support for the freedom and independence of Texas and to show that all political power is STILL inherent in the people.

Texas Constitution, Article 1 Section 1: “Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States.”

Texas Constitution, Article 1 Section 2: “All political power is inherent in the PEOPLE…”

We are calling on every Texan who supports the freedom and independence of Texas to rally up on the north side. Bring signs, Texas flags and flags from the Texas Revolution to show that we want our freedom and independence and we want the Legislature to answer the call of the people.

The group even has a store.

1st Question is will Texas successfully secede and govern its own state without Barack Hussein Obama approval?

#1 – not a chance. It’ll take a revolution, and Texas is where it will likely start. Go Texas!!

    OT: Great tweet from @iResistAll

Liberals want gun regulations? I want voter regulations. Pass an IQ test or you can’t vote. No more idiots deciding who gets elected.

    (p.s. Start with photo ID!)

  • cavt

Hope a lot of folks show up. We need something like this to have any chance for the future. The road that the Obamaites have us on now is only going to get worse until collapse.

  • an idea whose time has come.

i’ve felt for over thirty years that the only way we would regain our freedom from the political class was a revolution.

  • Lim Lynn

I hope Socialist Democrat Commie won’t hijack the effort put in by Militia, Patriots and The People who says Hey Barack Hussein Obama don’t you dare to Don’t Tread on My Rights.

  • Lady Mondegreen

And what is this supposed to achieve?

  • lincoln’s widow

Don’t forget peeps, its on the NORTH side of the Texas state capitol. The south shall rise again, from the north side of Austin.

More signs of GOP implosion: these toiletpaperbaggers are fingering the Texas “conservatives” for taking the south steps from them and forcing them to the north! How dare they? I need my smellin’ salts! Someone get a whambulance!

Enjoy your rally and don’t forget to bring some beer and your guns! Nyuk nyuk

“The TNM has attempted for months to obtain sponsorship for an OFFICIAL rally on the South Steps of the Capitol. However, due to the reluctance and hesitation of the “conservative” members of the Texas Legislature, the TNM and other groups that support Constitutional principles have been blocked out.”

“Rather than having Texans in support of Texas independence on the SOUTH steps, visitors to the Capitol will be treated to rallies held by groups that revere Van Jones and support illegal immigration.”

This stuff just makes us look stupid Jim. I have no clue why a smart Conservative like you promotes it, unless you’re getting money to do it.

  • Tom Doniphon

Why would you encourage this lunacy? Seriously!

  • Jimmy

The rally sounds good to me.

    And, call me “Jim.”

  • Lim Lynn

    @Aaron
I don’t think Jim Hort is making money out of it but it does contain historical turning point for America and American citizens in History of Political World scene.

I don’t think this is lunacy since I had been keeping tab, watch and researching over Barack Hussein Obama’s action while asking my Uncle the last time he came back visiting last December and praying for his family safety. Cause we going to see the worst outcome this year.

  • AuntieMadder

Wish I could be there tomorrow.

I get a real kick out of the lefties’ reaction to things like this. You can smell the fear in the air, can’t you? Principled people scare the HELL out of them …

For some reason, it’s always a wonderful thing when THEY rise up against the evils of the world, but when we do it, well, not so much…

Hypocrites, every last one of them …

  • SeniorD

Well, boy howdy! The Texas Legislature says we have increased revenue which means our economy is getting better. Can’t say that for Leftopia’s capital of La-La Land, they’re raising taxes to cover Unionist benefits which have crippled their economy.

Hey California, New York, and the rest of the bankrupt leftist states! See what Texas can and IT doring!

    God bless those patriots.
    And God bless Texas.

    From Canada Free press:
After inauguration, the most anti-American president ever elected is coming after your country

Find a foxhole. Your president is about to declare war on you.

Have it ready before Barack Hussein Obama brings out the truncheons directly following his second inauguration.

Obama did not hightail it back to a $4-million Hawaii holiday for R&R after the fiscal cliff fiasco. Whatever is coming after inauguration is being planned against America far away from Washington, DC.

The Obama regime is on a roll. After inauguration, the most anti-American president ever elected is coming after your country for real, the main difference being that the Fundamental Transformation of America is no longer a vague theory, but is now ready for implementation.

For the observant, the signposts along an ever darkening road can be picked out. All roadblocks to the Fundamental Transformation of America have been quietly removed. The regime controls everything you see and hear, with the mainstream media in Obama’s back pocket; social networks at his fingertips. Hollywood stars, who will fill empty seats at inauguration events, now stand in for anti-gun YouTube government ads. The Republican Party has caved and spends the lion’s share of its time fighting off conservatives in the TEA Party Movement in the corners.

Resistance, as the saying goes, is futile.

With a more than 100-year-old agenda now charging full-speed ahead, ready to eclipse society, you would think that the progressives would be gleeful, but they’re not.

The first day after New Year’s, personal physical threats hit an all time high on the Internet.

Obamabots have returned to the Net to clear the path.

Millions who voted against Obama and millions who stayed home on November 6 are understandably on edge.

  • As a Texan I agree with Sam Houston.

/”We view ourselves on the eve of battle. We are nerved for the contest, and must conquer or perish. It is vain to look for present aid: none is at hand. We must now act or abandon all hope! Rally to the standard, and be no longer the scoff of mercenary tongues! Be men, be free men, that your children may bless their father’s name.”/

‘”Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression, come from what source it may.”‘

‘”I beseech those whose piety will permit them reverently to petition, that they will pray for this union, and ask that He who buildeth up and pulleth down nations will, the mercy preserve and unite us. For a Nation divided against itself cannot stand. I wish, if this Union must be dissolved, that its ruins may be the monument of my grave, and the graves of my family. I wish no epitaph to be written to tell that I survive the ruin of this glorious Union.”‘

#24 – Lim Lynn Scary Stuff.
As I said the other day, the tidal wave is coming from every direction.

Can’t help but wonder if Obama’s new 17 story airship really is an Ark.

As for those of you who say the march in Texas is “embarrassing” — I’ll tell you this. At least these people are doing SOMETHING. And I guarantee it won’t be anywhere as “embarrassing” as OWS scumbags pooping on police cars and raping each other on the street.

Thanks for showing up and having nothing to say.

    Don’t mess with Texas.

  • AuntieMadder

I think every one of those three (or did it grow to four?) trolls saw the words “Rally for Texas Independence” yet read “Rally for Texas Secession.” And not one of them was sharp enough to actually read the blog post and learn the difference.

There’s no greater idiot than a leftist know-it-all.

  • RedBeard

I would refer the naysayers to a history book, and suggest some serious study before condemning the Texas independence movement as being a ridiculous fringe agenda. In the 1760s, the idea of American independence from Britain was considered radical and impractical. Even after the shooting war had started, the Second Continental Congress still struggled with the notion of independence. Public opinion was still quite divided.

I have no idea where this independence initiative will go, if anywhere, but I say more power to them. At the very least, it will stir up interest in a return to Constitutional federalism and states’ rights in state legislatures across the country.

  • Chris Light

This may not come to anything anytime soon, but a real movement has to start somewhere. Texas Secession is not the real goal…the real goal is to get America back to the way our founding fathers intended this nation to be. If that takes Texas and other states to begin calls for Secession, then so be it. All movements start small and undergo scrutiny.

We have to get America back. I won’t be there, but I hope turn out at the capital is large.

  • workingclass artist

I think it’s great if they want to have a rally in Austin & I hope the weather holds and there’s decent BBQ.

    Long Live Texas!

  • valerie

Texans know how to have fun with their politics. That’s where they held the “Moon the Klan” demonstration. Yep, it was exactly what it sounds like.

Texan voters believe in giving one party or the other control of local government so that the party will be able to accomplish most of its policy goals. That means the whole state flips parties from time to time, when one party or the other has the better solutions for the most important issues. So, Texas has, in recent memory, been both “Republican” and “Democratic.”

They love to both haze and train their politicians.

  • Paul in N. AL

Where and When Texas will Lead, the people and state of Alabama will follow.

  • valerie

Here’s what Texan voters have gotten from their philosophy of picking the party with the better policies wholesale:

    Republican and Democrat.

Republican describes a person with insight to behavior. Democratic describes behavior but is not specific to a member of a party. It’s behavior with no person attached to it.

Republican party. Democrat party. Republicans and Democrats, not Democratics.

I know a lot here don’t care and/or think I’m stupid and wrong, but I was born and raised in a Democrat family and never in my life was the Democrat party ever referred to as the Democratic party. It’s an incorrect use of the word and a very recent change, that seems to have started, about the time George Bush was often talking about “spreading democracy” and “democratic forms of government.”

  • Lim Lynn
