Barack Obama, Mr. Trillion Dollar Deficit, lectured the American public and Republicans about going to a restaurant and eating and then not wanting to pay their bill.
“You don’t go out to dinner and then eat all you want and then leave without paying the check.”
That’s why the US is borrowing 46 cents on every dollar.

Barack Obama is the first US president in history to run four straight years of trillion dollar deficits.
No one has come close to that record.

  1. “You don’t go out to dinner and then eat all you want and then leave without paying the check.”

Didn’t hen just do that in Hawaii at the cost of $20,000.000

  2. I think what he is really saying is that if you can’t afford to eat at that nice restaurant, go ahead and do it anway, just get a higher credit limit, so you can charge it and deal with the expense and interest later. He doesn’t get to the part about paying for the credit card bill — that presumably comes later.

  3. I get so sick of this idiot who has no concept of spending, right or wrong, or truth, constantly lecturing us. I’m also sick of the idiot people that make excuses for him and follow him blindly. They are wrecking the country and I have no desire to go down with them.

  4. The dirty secret/non-secret is you are *already* paying the bill through inflation and high-interest payments.
Don’t believe me? Look at the price of gas (as one of the most obvious yardsticks). That doubling of price did not occur on the back of economic expansion but on dollar contraction.

  5. Low information president for low information voters. Swell!

  6. “”You don’t go out to dinner and then eat all you want and then leave without paying the check.”

Sure you do. If you’re a politician. They’ve been doing it for years now, living high on the hog on OUR money, and sticking us with the tab. It’s time we called it what it is … theft…. and held them accountable for it.

The American people didn’t “run up the tab”, our greedy politicians did. THEY bribed their way into career political positions with our money, and now they want to blame US because we were foolish enough to take the bait. Sure, we have some responsibility for letting them do this to us, but the fact is, THEY were the ones who took the JOB, and THEY are the ones who have failed to perform it honestly and responsibly.

They’ve proven that they can’t be trusted now, so it’s time we cut up their credit cards and FORCE them to start paying down the debt. If they won’t, we should FIRE every last one of them, and replace them with a new crop of non-career representatives. We need honest, decent Americans from all walks of life to sit down and decide where the cuts need to be made without worrying about who gets re-elected. Period. If we don’t start insisting on that, and start demanding fiscal accountability from Washington, then we deserve everything we get …

We are facing a crisis in this country … a budget crisis, and a political crisis, and the future of America is at stake. If we don’t face that fact soon and do something about it, this country is doomed …

  7. That’s right baby, them peas ain’t free.

Here’s the thing Barry doesn’t seem to get. If you can’t afford to pay the bill you shouldn’t be going to restaurants. Pretty simple stuff.

  8. It seems tens of millions of welfare parasites beg to differ Prezzie Bigears

  9. For the record, I did not vote to go out and eat at the restaurant. In fact, about 47% of the people when out and ate without me, and then sent me the bill.

  10. EXACTLY Lilly, and it’s amazing that our own President just can’t understand that….

Personally, I think he does. And so do all the other politicians. It’s just that they’ve had their hands in our pockets for so long now, they don’t really know any other way …

  11. inflation and high-interest payments.

The inflation rate for 2012 was 1.8%. As for interest rates:
Mortgage rates reached an all-time low for the second consecutive week amid the Federal Reserve’s purchase of securities and “indicators of a weakening economy,” government-sponsored Freddie Mac, said Thursday morning.

The weekly average for the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage in the U.S. fell to 3.36 percent for the week ending Oct. 4, down from 3.4 percent last week and 3.94 percent a year ago.

Don’t believe me? Look at the price of gas (as one of the most obvious yardsticks). That doubling of price did not occur on the back of economic expansion but on dollar contraction.
Ahh, the old “doubling of gas price” talking point.

  12. If you love Mark Levin, he’s on Megyn Kelly’s show today. Explaining what it is that makes him so mad/sick/fearful about this administration.

Barry put in another unwatchable/unlistenworthy (if you value your health or that breakfast/lunch you just ate) performance.

  13. Amid the bustle of President Obama’s surprise stop for barbecue Wednesday the White House apparently overlooked one key detail: the bill.

Celebrating Father’s Day early, the president had lunch with two service members and two local barbers at Kenny’s BBQ on Capitol Hill.

As the group chatted about fatherhood, the president enjoyed a steaming plate of pork ribs with hot sauce, collard greens, red beans and rice and cornbread.

The bill for the president and his four guests was $55.58, but was left unpaid at the point of sale, according to pool reports.

Seems JH copied everything except the last line.
The White House corrected the oversight and settled up the tab by the end of the business day.

I’m shocked, shocked that GP would allow such an omission.

  14. Millions of people on public assistance pay little, if any, of their bills (restaurant or otherwise).

Meanwhile, Obama continues to focus on exceeding his 5.4 trillion “shopping spree” by simply increasing our debt limit. This, and Harry Reid’s refusal to bring a budget to a vote for the last 4 years, has (by design) effectively given Obama a blank check.

As usual, Obama latest line of propaganda is designed to cater towards his “vote early, vote often” public assistance funded supporters (that all too often live out their lives while letting others pay their bills).

These public assistance funded people will, of course, believe anything Obama says just as long as they don’t have to pay bills for their free section 8 housing, free health and day care, free energy, free food, etc, etc, etc. This is not to mention the free cash they get from us…

  15. This, and Harry Reid’s refusal to bring a budget to a vote for the last 4 years, has (by design) effectively given Obama a blank check.

So, you believe that if there is no budget resolution, the president gets to spend anything he wants on whatever he wants? Really?

If that were the case, why would there have been a need for the stimulus bill?

  16. Another day, another dog and phony show…… he’s going to act without congress or the people on the debt-celling, this was just another show for public’s view ,Nanny and Harry has already given their approval for excutive order to by-pass congress and the Hell with constitution.

  17. And he did, left a restaurant without paying. By the way, what’s a restaurant? We have gone out in several years. We have bills to pay. We are fighting against Obama rule.

  18. “You don’t go out to dinner and then eat all you want and then leave without paying the check.”

We can always handle it in the manner that he handles the country’s finances, which is use a credit card, and as the balance is run up, whine about the limit and demand that it be raised.
