Chair of Congressional Black Caucus Goes Off During Debate – Says Republicans Are “Evil and Mean” (Video)

The chair of the Congressional Black Caucus went off during a debate with Newt Gingrich on Thursday. Rep Marcia Fudge called Republicans “evil and mean” because they won’t spend money like drunken sailors.
Marcia is the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus.

The crowd roared at her response.
Her full response is here.

The Cleveland Plains Dealer reported:

Congressional Black Caucus chair Marcia Fudge had harsh words on Thursday night for GOP colleagues on the House Agriculture Committee who she says “literally do not believe there is poverty in this country.”

In a George Washington University panel discussion on poverty hosted by PBS’s Tavis Smiley, Fudge expressed her disappointment with colleagues who voted to cut food stamps by $16.5 billion over the next 10 years.

“These same people believe if you do not work, you are lazy,” Fudge told the symposium, which was aired on C-SPAN. “These same people believe that if your children don’t get a good education, something is wrong with you. These are the craziest people I have seen in my life. Just absolute nuts. They don’t understand that the government’s job is to take care of its people.”

The Warrensville Heights Democrat, who just started a two-year term as chair of the Black Caucus, said that if such people continue to get elected to Congress, “we are never going anywhere as a country.”

“Because we deal with nuts, every single day,” said Fudge. “These people are evil and mean. They care nothing about anybody but themselves. And so, if you think you are going to have anything bipartisan, you need to think again. It is not happening.”

She has no ideas.
She’s just a typical Democrat who demands that government spends more of your money.

Oliver, but didn’t you say that Obama WASN’T going to be inaugurated, or that he was stepping down, or that he was going to be inaugurated under his “REAL” name Harrison Bounel? The sites you link to also say that extraterrestrials are all organizing this and that we will all be taken up by space aliens after this.

Oliver, please read my comments to you on the previous thread.

Walk back the crazy. It’s not welcome here.

Obama is the very reason for debt woes. He could have fix this in some way. But Obama choose to bankrupt businesses he choose to grant tax payer money too.

I suggest Fudge goes out into the community and respect a Day that Obama firmly believes HE and HE alone started. NATIONAL DAY OF VOLUNTEERING. Now, I am not saying that volunteering is a great thing, I am saying that MSNBC really believes Obama is the end all and be all and he created VOLUNTEERING. And so, do that MS. FUDGE, go out and try to volunteer in a soup kitchen or two and go to the churches and ask for food donations. PEOPLE OF ALL COLOR AND POLITICS DO THIS EVERY DAY. When are debt is in check and it is for certain it won’t be under Obama, I give you, Ms. Fudge, permission to quick and then take a course in Finance and Economy, you see, Ms. Fudge, the well is Dry.

  • Patty

    isn’t a great thing, corrected.

Something has to be done about your comment section… Too many insane new commenters linking to too much completely insane crap.

Have you READ Lim Lynn’s comments? Have you followed Oliver’s COMPLETELY INSANE links?

Is this a good, or is it a bad, development for GP comment threads, and your reputation online, to say nothing of the reputation of the entire Right-o-sphere.

  • Patty

Boy, I mad some mistakes: Ms. Fudge can’t quit. And I hope she learns a little bit about keeping her mouth shut or at least think before she speaks about others. And I bet she is a church going.

A Sunday Christian then the rest of the week NOT.

I’m gonna go with “bad. really bad.”

Has the Congressional White Caucus responded with a rebuttal?

What’s that you say? There IS no CWC?

  • Mitch Rapp

Why does congress tolerate a club of racists in their midst?

  • DecentAmerican

jdr….ever heard of the first amendment? Just because you don’t agree, doesn’t make someone insane. So if I disagree with your opinion, is it ok if I call you insane?

It’s called tolerance. The only exception I would agree to censor is violent or vulgar comments. Let it be. You don’t want to fall in line with the intolerant racist liberals, who attack all who disagree with them, do you?

  • Patty

I love how the members of the Black Caucus love to spew out hate. If I were a member I would have turned in my membership a long time ago. Or, never become a member in the first place.

Hopefully, their membership will fall off some. And hopefully if a black is considering to be a member they will research this outfit.

There are some wonderful Black Conservative Organizations who treat humans as equals.

//They don’t understand that the government’s job is to take care of its people.”//

That’s right you kook loon freeloading taker, we don’t understand that…because it’s not true.

The government’s “job” is to secure the border and ensure order. Anything more, is an abuse. These takers living off the dime of responsible citizens just doesn’t get that the government’s “job” (what a stupid concept) isn’t to ensure everyone is “okay.”

These libs are a sick, mentally ill deluded sack sack lot. How the hell anyone can think the way the freeloading libs think is beyond me. Demanding the government step in and “make it all better” when a person’s life turns to sh*t due to laziness, ignorance, or poor life choices is just disgusting.

It may be politcally incorrect to say it (but it shouldn’t be), but we need a final solution (yeah…maybe THAT final solution) to deal with the takers who are sapping America of its greatness. We cannot go on giving 47% (and growing) a free ride on the coat tails of the productive, responsible “grown up” members of society. The 47% make me ill. What a bunch of absolute gutter trash losers.

S he’s a freaking parasite. I would be willing to bet she was a loser with no market all skills prior to running for office. My guess is she was the biggest whiner and parasite in the neighborhood and couldn’t shut up if she tried. Making her a perfect liberal candidate.

William Ayers a keynote speaker next month at the Association of Teacher Educators conference

The Association of Teacher Educators has recruited Chicago professor – and former domestic terrorist – William Ayers to speak at their the 2013 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia which will be held next month.

William Ayers, a co-founder of the radical Weather Underground domestic terror group, was a key figure during the 2008 presidential campaign due to his Chicago ties to then-Senator Obama.

no specific mention of Ayers’ controversial background, describing him as the “formerly Distinguished Professor of Education and Senior University Scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago.”

The online biography also lists several of Ayers’ books, including Fugitive Days, which chronicles his activities as a radical domestic terrorist in the ’60s.

    Notice WILLIAM, not BILL

On someone’s personal blog, such as this one, the First Amendment applies to Jim Hoft alone, and he can choose to delete any comment, and even ban any IP address. It’s his site.

Does a newspaper have to print every single “letter to the editor” because the First Amendment requires them to? No. Because it’s their paper.

Jim can even delete my pleas for greater and more “discerning” moderation of this site.

    Why? That’s his Constitutional right.

And I agree: the racist mobys on this site, the fools who call for assassination on this site, they also need to be deleted and banned.

Sadly that’s not possible without at least SOME attention paid to the comments by the proprietor.

And at least a LITTLE BIT of care for his online reputation.

  • JDR-Taq

And, D.A. — tolerance means silence now?

Look up the etymology of the word “nice”.

Someone speaks or links to bullsh&t, I’m supposed to be “nice”?

It’s no wonder we’re where we’re at now. No freakin’ wonder at all.
