The NAACP used to be a civil rights group for the advancement of all colored people.
Not anymore. Now they only stand for the advancement of black Democrats.
Black Republicans are on their own.

Last night NAACP President Ben Jealous ripped Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) as someone who “does not believe in civil rights.”
Horrible.

From the video:
Appearing on CNN Wednesday, the president of the NAACP slammed incoming black Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) as being a Republican who does not “believe in civil rights.”

When asked to evaluate the incoming class of congresspeople, including a diverse group of women, Hispanics, blacks, and Asians, Ben Jealous took the opportunity to bring up that Sen. Scott has an “F” score with the NAACP’s annual report card.

  1. I don’t think Civil Rights have a place in society today. They are used as “special” rights and as a platform to beat your political opponents over the head as racists.

You’re either an American, none of this “African-American” or you’re not an American, and we all know that the vast majority of blacks are theological Marxists.

  2. Ben Jealous as in Been Jealous. You cannot make this stuff up. Lol…

Once a hater, always a hater.

  3. This has to stop, the deviding of this country is not an option, Sen Scott will be a great asset to the senate. When Jealous speaks this way, only shows his ignorence that his vocabulary is small.

  4. These racist jerks are starting to get annoying.

  5. Here’s what the NAACP thinks passes for “civil rights” these days.

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/01/03/The-NAACP-Has-Nothing-to-Do-with-Civil-Rights

In reality, the NAACP scorecard has nothing at all to do with civil rights, and is just a checklist of liberal Democrat policy priorities, from collective bargaining to global warming. Here are the NAACP’s key votes:
ENFORCEMENT OF THE DAVIS-BACON ACT REQUIRING THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS ONLY WITH EMPLOYERS WHO PAY PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS
THE RIGHT OF TRANSPORTATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (TSA) WORKERS TO ENGAGE IN COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
BANNING THE EPA FROM REGULATING GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS
REPEALING FUNDING FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF HEALTH CARE REFORM
BANNING ALL FEDERAL FUNDING FOR HEALTH CARE SERVICES PROVIDED BY PLANNED PARENTHOOD

    ………

The rest of the list is similar, and not one item has anything to do with civil rights. So, the NAACP is taking the position that you have to be a Democrat and Union supporter and believe in anthropogenic global warming in order to have a good “civil rights” record.

  6. I could not possibly care less what the NAACP has to say.

  7. I was all ready to rip Ben Jealous as a black seperatist racist ,in the mold of that espn fool, and then I saw this:

I have no idea what to call a black man that hates anyone that wants to end the genocide of millions of black babies.

  8. Niggardly and cowardly act.

However, if Scott does not vigorously and LOUDLY defend himself, well, silence is agreement.

  9. NAACP = Black Nazis

Take heart. You have allies, and some of them are intellectually capable blacks.

Project 21′s take on that NAACP report card.

    http://www.nationalcenter.org/P21NVSwimpNAACP90612.html

“Legislative report cards that favors some politicians over others are nothing new, but the NAACP’s newest one throws the group’s nonpartisan mandate into question.”

“Every single Republican in the 112th Congress received a failing grade from the NAACP!”

“Of Democrats and the independents who caucus with them, the House score from the NAACP was much friendlier — over 95 percent As and Bs, and over 98 percent As and Bs for senators.”

“Not only does the NAACP’s report card seem like an outright admission of the group’s partisan bias, the way it found its grades exposes the NAACP’s support of failing policies. They are an affront to black America.”

The way I read the list, that describes Tim Scott’s vote. The NAACP is in favor of funding Planned Parenthood using Federal funds.

  12. Yeah, instead he believes in and promotes sinister concepts like liberty and opportunity

  13. Tim is a STRONG advocate for ” right to work ” legislation. The NAACP is for coerced union membership and union control of the political class.

Civil rights has also come to mean ” free stuff ” and changing the right to vote …into the right to vote TWO THREE FOUR times…whatever it takes to keep the free stuff free flowing.

  14. PLEASE THEY ARE ALL EITHER RACISTS OR RACE-HUSLTERS!

  15. Jealous is jealous that he’s not half the man Senator Scott is.

Read the NAACP issued PDF file on what they consider key votes. Your willingness to “cut some slack” may be more than a bit misplaced. The NAACP doesn’t want to CUT abortion federal funding to Planned Parenthood, per their official position as stated in the PDF.

  17. Whenever this kind of “high-level, intellectually honest” claim [sarcasm] comes up, we are at a disadvantage, because nobody challenges the speaker as to his definition of civil rights. Sort of like the cry of “racism”, it is so effective because it is meaningless. Somebody has to challenge this Orwellian demagoguery by asking: “How exactly do you define civil rights?”

Then, as it develops that civil rights means abortions, closed union shops, obamaphones, more welfare, etc., at least we can respond to those issues. Most easily by asking, “What does that have to do with civil rights?”

  18. … “Ben Jealous took the opportunity to bring up that Sen. Scott has an “F” score with the NAACP’s annual report card.”

I hope that Sen. Scott accepts that ‘F score’ with much pride! I can’t think of a better grade to get from this organization. Haters Suck.
