GOP Senator Bob Corker: Give President the Tax Increase He’s Talking About (Video)

RINO Senator Bob Corker told FOX News Sunday this morning that the top tax rates should be raised in America.

“It think it has merit that you go ahead and give the president the two-percent tax increase that he’s talking about… There is a growing body. I for one am beginning to believe that is the best route for us to take.”

Obama ran on higher taxes and won a comfortable victory. The GOP should accommodate the will of the people and loudly state they will support higher taxes for some to protect the middle class. They should support limits on deductions for high WAGE earners, those earning $200,000 per year per individual sounds lie a good start. Limit state income tax and mortgage deductions to be no more than $30,000 for instance. The key is to prove to the swing voters that the GOP will fight to protect the middle

In exchange for this extra money the GOP must insist on a 1 for 1 reduction in federal spending during the next fiscal year. Real spending cuts and not spending cuts to the rate of increase.

    That is the fight..

    Don’t negotiate with the terrorist-in-chief

  • Bigkahuna

Richard winning the presidency doesn’t mean GOP bend over. Did libs bend over when bush won? Obama won by 3 % with early voting BS tricks and msm lying and covering for Obama who hasn’t passed a budget in 4 years. 65% were against an illegal obamacare and we got that forced down our throats illegally with a ton of lies and bribes illegally but not n DC.

    Obama can shove it.

  • I’m sick of this argument. If we save the tax cuts…the GOP is blamed for being obstructionists and preventing the deficit from being dealt with. If we let taxes go up… the GOP is blamed. If the “cliff”, which was created and passed by both houses and the president, happens, the GOP gets blamed. Of course, being an artificial construction, the “cliff” could simply be repealed.

I say to hell with them. Vote present. The citizens of America want more taxes and more spending. I say GIVE IT TO THEM. IN SPADES.

The TRULY conservative position is that all citizens should pay for their services. Tax EVERYBODY. The idea of lower taxes to starve the beast has never worked as long as the gov’t can borrow money. Its always been an idiotic idea and the GOP is trapped in a vicious cycle. Discussion of taxes should always be about the proper funding of government services and what services are appropriate. Congress does NOT want that conversation to get started.

  • Exile1981

The GOP are afraid because they no that even if the give Obama everything he asks for the media will spin any negative fall out as being their fault.

THERE IS NO FISCAL CLIFF BUT FISCAL THEFT.
REPUBS MUST USE THIS CHANCE TO FIX OTHER PROBLEMS.

The Republicans must not cave in and raise the debt limit until and unless they include in the bill some serious problems that the Dems have caused to usurp power and steal the election. These inclusions should be:

    a. A total ban on immigration for ever and border fence. The Dems import aliens as most of them (70%) vote for Dems, to increase the number of democratic voters. So Repubs must immigration as this is the 3rd most populous country in the world already and there is a serious shortage of water, space and jobs, etc.

    b. No electronic voting machines unless and until a paper receipt is given.

    c. Only those who can prove US citizenship can vote.

    d. Obama must prove he was born in the USA first.

There is no “fiscal cliff”. This term is made up by the Jewish controlled media. If we raise the debt ceiling, which is already almost 18 Trillion, it would only make the problem bigger down the road.

The debt was just a few trillion when Obama took office, but now it is 18 Trillion! So Obama stole most of this money and diverted it to his campaign contributors.

Democrats get almost 60% of their campaign contributions from the Jewish lobby.

It is very openly known that Obama was installed with Jewish support. As reported in Chicago Jewish News, “Obama is the first Jewish President.” See:

    http://www.chicagojewishnews.com/story.htm?id=252218&sid=212226

    http://www.ifamericansknew.org/us_ints/po-obamaj.html

Also see, “How the Jews took the White House” at:

    http://www.realzionistnews.com/?p=461

We must remember that Obama is an illegal alien and the cases against him have been fixed by the Jewish lobby.

So Obama stole much of the 18 Trillion dollars (say 10 to 15 T) and gave it to the Jewish lobby, under the table, disguised as grants and contracts. Many Democrats, especially Jewish ones, have become super rich under Obama.

The Jewish lobby is not satisfied with the theft of so many trillions of dollars and wants more, so they are brainwashing the public that there is a “fiscal cliff.” There is no fiscal cliff. The Republicans must stop this theft.

“… give the president the two percent tax increase he is asking for …” Is Senator Corker being ingenuous here, or does he realize that two percent of our fellow citizens are being singled out for CONFISCATORY taxation, that the small business productive class are being singled out for INORDINATE taxation the excess of which will be passed on to employees (through lower wages) and customers (through higher prices).

Don’t leave the Republican Party- rip it out of the hands of the Senator Corkers and wield it like a sword against power mad Democrats in office. 2014 is coming …

  • LJ

    “disingenuous”

  • someone hand this stupid RINO a nice big mug of STFU.

the people who need their taxes raised are the 47% that don’t pay a dime now.

  • Bigkahuna

GOP should offer this. 6% increases on taxes…for democrats. 2% cuts on republicans. That should get the 4 % increase Obama demands. Works for me.

  • FU#K OBAMA

I agree with Rand Paul , every conservative should vote present……

give imam obama his tax increases as long as that is all that is in the bill…..

his taxing will bankrupt not only the conservatives but liberals as well.

  • ChillytheAlaskan

I’m sick of these RINO’s, all they think about is how THEY will be perceived.

Hey, Obama wants to destroy the country? Well we’ll just allow him so we won’t be perceived as the ones doing it! Boy that’s logical!

Obama is not attacking the rich, he’s attacking small business and destroying the republican party in the process. Corker wants to allow this so he doesn’t get perceived as the one doing it? HA, this idiot loses no matter what he does, even if he doesn’t fight, and it turns to s**t as we all know it is going to, well then the democrats are going to say, “THEY KNEW IT WAS GOING TO HARM THE COUNTRY AND THEY DIDN’T DO ANYTHING TO STOP IT”!

DON’T AGREE TO RAISE THE DEBT LIMIT AND FORCE THEM TO CUT SPENDING!

  • JP Blickenstaff

My tax plan is : Taxation by Representation. Taxes will be raised only in those congressional districts whose congressmen vote for higher taxes. It is only fair that they lead the way.

  • Notice the focus? It was not on reducing spending. The sideshow is on increasing taxes.

  • RealMc

Start with Hollywood stars and Pro Athletes.

    Take all their money.

Every dime and let the generous gubmint give them their “Fair-Share”.

Please start with michael moore. they could pay him in twinkies.

  • mountainwilliam

We don’t need a tax hike. We just need to cut back on the spending.

  • jony101

tax everybody. You get welfare, tax that at 15 percent. you get foodstamps, tax that at 15 percent. Tax everybody or dont tax anyone.
As long as half of america dont pay taxes we will never get the deficit under control.
Another idea get rid of the overpaid border patrol who let 20 million illegals slip past them, just put the military on the border. There are many services that can be done by other agencies and save money.

  • Simple question, Senator, if you had to borrow 46 cents for every dollar YOU spent, would YOU keep spending money YOU had to borrow or would you cut back on YOUR spending?

OK, that went over your head. Let’s try this one.

You make $25,000 a year, but you spend $38,000 a year. That means you borrow $13,000 every year, not to try to pay against your previous years’ accumulated debt, but to buy more “stuff”. Shouldn’t you stop borrowing that $13,000 every year and cut your spending down to no more than the $25,000 you make? Maybe you should even cut back well below that amount so you can use some of what you make to start paying off those old debts, which are growing at whatever interest rate you have to pay as well.

Your answer, get the cops to go over to all your neighbors and take their money and give it to you so you can keep spending like a drunk GimmeDat…and then get the media to convince everyone that your neighbors are all greedy hypocrites and thieves because they didn’t just OFFER to give you all their money and besides, they somehow managed to avoid the stupid spending and borrowing pattern YOU use and they don’t deserve to keep what they have worked all their lives to accumulate.

  • Exile1981

@ RealMC – that is what I was thinking. If you own a business then the firts 250k is tax free as your creating work then for each employee you have another 15-20k of income for you is tax free. Now if your income is from entertainment such as Hollywood or sports then you should pay normal taxes to 250k per year and 100% on any thing past that. Since it’s waht those hollywood types keep asking for. That’s fair

  • Patty

Raising taxes will not help the mess we are in but it is going to happen and we all are going to see our taxes raised. Democrats are known for raising taxes.

  • Maybe Corker should just fly out to Hawaii, put the bill on a big old silver platter along with some freshly cut pineapple and mango, serve it to Obama in bed and ask The Usurper if he needs a morning massage.

  • Bitter Clinger

The GOP is about to go the way of the Wigs. Until it understands that confiscation of private property (in this case money) is immoral, and the property of one individual is no more important than that of another individual, it is destined for the “ash heap of history”. Doesn’t matter ft the private property belongs to someone who has achieved success or not. Plunder is plunder. Do these boobs think they were elected to give in to Obama? We have a serious case of identity crisis on our hands. The only reason to elect Republicans is to keep the Democrats from plundering the nation’s wealth andfrom surrendering to the Islamists & Communists. Otherwise, they are all the same. Egomaniacal elistists who (most of them) have never worked an honest day in their lives.

  • jimstlmo

Funny, you didn’t hear a word or peep out of Bob Corker during the tea party insurgency. But now, fresh off a 2012 election victory and a new 6 year lease on his political life, you see him everywhere, advocating higher taxes.

GOP is dead to me. Wake me up when 70 Million voters out there have had enough. In the mean time, I’m beginning to believe the sooner we kill off the GOP by voting libertarian the better.

It’s looking like the American dream went into cardiac arrest in 2008, and was pronounced dead on Nov 6th 2012.

  • RCL

God Bless Him. The GOP must die and asshats like Corker just make me smile!

We need a speaker who will school Americans about what’s really happening. Boehner isn’t it.
There will be an election in January for the Speaker position. Tell your Rep “don’t vote for Boehner”. Here’s how:

  • RCL

    #26:
The American Dream is as alive as ever but we are totally unrepresented in the current political system.

I knew ObamaCare was a lock when Larry Tribe told the media he was confident his student, John Roberts, would uphold it. The GOP died when another Harvard alum, MBA recipient GWB, conned America with his “compassionate conservatism”. A compassionate conservative works to convince other individuals to join him in freely aiding the needy. GW simply put a fig leaf on fascism. The ESSENCE of the Republican Party is a “Kinder, Gentler” form of fascism.

Anyone still working to reform the GOP is WASTING PRECIOUS TIME!!!

  • RCL

Put your money where you mouth is. $100 not one of those neutered bitches raises his head!

  • Rightdawg

Simple solution. Boehner should allow for a straight-up vote on Obama’s entire package. No changes, give Obama everything he wants, documented in legislative form. Put Obama’s deal on the floor of the House of Reps for a vote immediately. Republicans should vote “present.” Put the Democrats on the spot, make them vote “yes”, and watch how quickly they crumble given how preposterous Obama’s proposal is. Then watch Harry Reid deny a vote on Obama’s plan in the Senate. Republicans can then say that they gave Obama everything he wanted without any obstructions, but Obama’s proposal was not even supported by his own party. Turn the tables on Obama, make the Democrats take the full hit for going over the cliff and the coming Obama Recession. Liberal media will attempt to blame the situation on the Republicans, but they will ultimately fail when the Republicans are on record as having given Obama everything he wanted but was “obstructed” by his own Democrats. Then, after going over the cliff, the Republicans in the House need to launch a legislative assault on the Senate with a series of constructive, solution oriented bills that deal with our core issues (repeal Obamacare again, reform Social Security, reform Medicare, send Medicaid and Education back to the States, pro-growth tax code reform, etc. etc. etc.). Republicans, if they have the stones, can completely turn the tables on the Democrats and win the debate. Unfortunately, this kind of leadership is not evident in the Republican leadership.

  • FMB42

GOP = “Give Out (to the) President.

But then again, this has probably been “the plan” for some time now.

I say this because the GOP, for decades, has been virtually unable, or unwilling, to effectively address:

    1. Out of control illegal immigration.

    2. The endless and widespread promotion of public assistance dependent lifestyles (for both legal citizens and illegal immigrants).

    3. A failed public school system that “graduates” far too many students that can hardly read and write, let alone provide for themselves and the children they breed (without relying on various forms of public assistance).

    4. A completely broken voting system that allows anyone to vote (mostly) for Democrats as “early and often” as they’d like (such voter fraud is rarely allowed in other civilized countries).

    5. Rule by a Judicial Dictatorship.

    6. The vastly numbered and absolutely out-of-control US foreign aid programs (that insist on giving our money away, while our government “thumbs its nose” at our own citizens that suffer from natural disasters and other catastrophic events).

    7. Lawmakers that pass laws that they’re exempt from, or that they ignore without consequence.

Meanwhile, the GOP continues to waste valuable time by focusing their “efforts” against issues, such as abortion and gay marriage, that they have no hope of changing at this stage (see # 5 above).

The Dems, of course, play the same game from a different angle.

Both the Dems and Reps have made quite a circus out of rallying around issues that have very little bearing on what really needs to be done in this country. Both parties have become very good at publicly acting like they’re fighting each other when they are, in reality, very much on the same side (of the insidious government they’ve created in back rooms and elite gathering places).

  • Look-Out

    And lookie here:

Experts and lawmakers alike agree that Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner has the power to adjust how much is withheld from paychecks for tax purposes — for all taxpayers or just for some.

By doing so, Geithner could ensure paychecks reflect the White House position that wealthier taxpayers with annual income higher than $250,000 see their taxes rise. Geithner at the same time could leave withholding tables where they are for the middle class, ensuring those workers don’t see a higher cut from their paychecks.

    http://thehill.com/blogs/on-the-money/domestic-taxes/271791-white-house-could-protect-middle-class-from-tax-hikes

No wonder Barry made Turbo Timmy his Treasury Secretary! He’d been doing this for years – with his own taxes…

Hey! Why not work that magic on everybody?

  • Barbara

I voted for Bob Corker and I’m so disappointed that we are buckling to this manipulative, arrogant president. He is like a child who manipulates until he gets what he wants, and the sad part is he is getting it.

  • a former dem

Why stop at 2% increase, I say hike it up even further. I don’t think conservatives understand how disgusting the dems and liberals are, and hell I used to be one of those morons.

Those that know what’s coming will prepare, the rest will be running around having no clue of the collapse that’s coming.

Just see what’s happened to CA, the productive people left, and more will leave and then at somepoint when things are really really bad with no revenue coming in, then CA may get a clue, but it will have to be pretty bad before that happens.

Unfortunately, I see the same happening to the US. Just go john gault, let the cockroachs drain all the productiviness in this country. 2% is just the start, it will not end, eventually anyone who works will be considered “rich”. With 16+ trillion in debt, there is no way around this.

  • Amalgamated Cliff Divers, Local 157

    Let.It.Burn.

  • martin j smith

Republicans should vote “present” for any bill raising taxes and nnot get their finger prints on it.

  • Gravelyvoice Jim

Folks, the Republicans already DO own this mess. They have had control of the House for the past two years and done nothing but cave to Obama’s demands in the name of the “2012 election”. Look where that has gotten us since the patriot uprising of 2010 put the Repubs in control of the House and took away the super majority in the Senate, giving them the ability to filibuster Obama’s cabinet and court appointments.

Since electing these Bozos in the November 2010 election, do we have more or less of the following:

    Liberty?
    National debt?
    Obama Care?

We can pretend that Obama owns all of this but we are only kidding ourselves. We elected Republicans to gain control of the House in 2010 then pretty much went back to sleep waiting for 2012; the Republicans sold us out throughout 2011 and 2012. So in fact, Boehner and his bandits own this just as much as Obama. Sadly we are also to blame.

Here’s a thought: a tax discount holiday for 401k holders. How it works would involve waiving the 10% penalty for early withdrawl & cap the max marginal rate @ 20%. This would provide a windfall for the U.S. Treasury & allow people like me to get all of my cash out of the 401k handcuff & free it up to invest in cash/precious metals/blue chip non-cyclicals equities/guns/sterno/flashlight batteries, etc.

    A win/win for everybody.

#3,Obama “Won” through massive and collaborative voter Fraud and nothing else! Collaborative, because the GOPe wasn’t going to let MITTEN’S get in Jebbies way for 2016 and because the current repub establishment is fully leftwing and nothing but a “Mirror image” of the dems much like the ‘Whig’ Party was around 1854,when the repub party was created to replace it. The repubs want Obama’s Agenda passed and are more than happy to use his phony “Mandate” as an excuse to pass all of his Bills as they agree with him anyway’s.Obama actually LOST in a Massive landslide. We have to keep pushing the Voter Fraud angle, because if we don’t address the Corrupt voting consortiums: SCYTYL,SOE,Sequoia and touch screen voting,we won’t ever have another legitimate election again.

Expect to see Obama try to use this pretend,non-existent “Mandate” as a reason to push to abolish Firearms ownership in 2013,with Boehner and the repubs fully onboard because they don’t want an armed and Teed off electorate when the people catch on to their collaboration.. When he mentioned wanting to “Re-institute the Assault Weapons Ban” in his debate with MITTEN’S that was no accident. At that time Obama and his advisers knew they had the election RIGGED,lock, stock and barrell. They had it planned to mention that Ban softly, then double back after the Fixed election win and say,”We mentoned the Assault Weapons ban and i Won comfortably,so the proves the people agree with me”. Bulshe!

Finally,we need a Third Party and we need it now!

No, No #41- the govt has held hearings to stop the deductions for 401k’s. Why? theBoomers have no money available for retirement. It is just a chit fromthe federal govt. There is 81 billion to be gained for the feds by stopping the 401k deduction. Then the govt will take the 401k’s and add it to your chit for the social security and grant you a 4.4 % annuity.
Oh yes. Mark Levin interviewed Theresa Ghirarducci of the New School in NJ(iirc). It is her idea. Listen to the tape. This is what is coming. Hearings have been held by sub committees caled RFI-Request For Information on this.

Give Senator Bob Corker the TRIAL for CONSPIRACY to commit GRAFT AND ABUSE OF CONSTITUTION that he is begging for.

MAKE THEM GET OUT OF THE BOX.

THE FISCAL CLIFF IS AN ARTIFICIAL FAKE CONSTRUCT!

MAKE THEM DISMANTLE IT AND DO SERIOUS SLASHING WHERE TRULY NEEDED ON DESTRUCTIVE GOVT – UN, EPA, INTERIOR DEPT, FANNIE MAE AND FREDDIE MAC, NEA, SEIU, ACORN, Dept of Ed, Homeland Security, TSA – RESTORE GOVT “PRESERVES” ACRES TO PRIVATE CITIZEN SMALL/MED PARCEL OWNERSHIP, to SMALL FAMILY FARM USE – DESTROY NEEDLESS REGULATIONS THAT HAMSTRING HEALTHY BUSINESS, HOMES, LIFESTYLES FOR PURPOSE OF COMMIE N.U.D.G.E. TO SOCIAL STRUCTURES.

BRING PUBLIC SERVANTS TO TRIAL. Whether by Strictly Regular Construction or NOT – but USE FOUNDING FATHER PRINCIPLES AND CONSTITUTION VERY STRICTLY!

NO REASON TO DESTROY MILLIONS OF PEOPLE’S FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE FOR ARTIFICIAL AND FAKE GOVERNMENT CONSTRUCTED EXCUSES.

That is UNCONSTITUTIONAL ABUSE OF POWER TO HARM LAW ABIDING CITIZENS FOR PURPOSES SOLELY OF PUBLIC SERVANT GRAFT ENABLING POWER GRABBING.

ARREST THEM AND SLAP THEM OUT OF EUPHORIC HYSTERICAL DELIRIUM from POWER HIGH OXYGEN DEPRIVATION.

Alexander Hamilton: If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no recourse left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense.

The patronage of public office should no longer be confided to one who uses it for active opposition to the national will. – Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson: Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of the day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers (adminstrators) too plainly proves a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing us to slavery.

Thomas Jefferson: I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: That ‘all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States or to the people’ (10th Amendment). To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specifically drawn around the powers of Congress, is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible to any definition.

Thomas Jefferson: The mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of God.

Thomas Jefferson: Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add ‘within the limits of the law,’ because law is often but the tyrant’s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

The multiplication of public offices, increase of expense beyond income, growth and entailment of a public debt, are indications soliciting the employment of the pruning knife. – Thomas Jefferson, letter to Spencer Roane, 1821

There are extraordinary situations which require extraordinary interposition. An exasperated people who feel that they possess power are not easily restrained within limits strictly regular. – Thomas Jefferson

THERE IS INDEED A VERY REAL FISCAL CLIFF!

BUT IT IS AN ARTIFICIAL CONSTRUCT BY DIM AND GOP BI-PARTISANSHIP POLITICAL CONSTRUCTION!

But instead of admitting it is a FAILURE and did NOT produce the talks to SLASH GOVT SPENDING – — ~ THEY CLAIMED WAS THEIR GOAL ~ — – AND DECONSTRUCT THESE ARTIFICIAL TRIGGERS that will in fact TRULY DESTROY MILLIONS of people’s business, homes, lifestyles, community RESOURCES, Utilities, local farms, etc etc etc – JUST BECAUSE OF GOVERNMENT TRIGGERS and NOT because of local disasters or worn out equipment, or aged and dying business owners who have no capable management “HEIRS” to step into their shoes, or failed material sources (mines played out, or farm lands crops destroyed by volcanic activity) – NOTHING NATURAL or JUSTIFIED causing these destructions but CASS SUNSTEIN’S “N.U.D.G.E.” POLICIES AND ORGANIZATIONS inside Obama’s overall organization working for 20 years for the set-ups.

WE SHOULD BE CALLING ON THEM TO DISMANTLE THE ARTIFICIAL TRIGGERS AND GROW UP AND NOT PLAY GAMES WITH REAL HUMAN BEINGS —- CALL ON THEM TO SIT DOWN AND SLASH DESTRUCTIVE GOVERNMENT

AND FREE THE MILLIONS of INNOCENT PEOPLE THEY HAVE HANGING ON TENTERHOOKS While they play UNCONSTITUTIONAL GAMES of POWER GRABBING.

The Republicans must not cave in and raise the debt limit until…

That’s a lost argument already. You know and I know they will; it’s just a matter of what else they’re going to give away when they do so.

  • Phillip Roy Stephenson

As mayor of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Bob Corker was fond of raising taxes, including property taxes and fees (per 8/22/01 Chattanooga Times Free Press) and a new hotel tax (per 2/27/02 CTFP) and fought against tax exemptions (per 11/9/97 CTFP).

I voted against Corker in the Republican primaries.
