Copy Cat Threat Forces St. Louis Area School on Lockdown

Granite City High School in Illinois across from St. Louis was on lockdown today following a threat issued this weekend.
KMOV reported:

Granite City High School was on lockdown Monday morning following a threat issued over the weekend.

Around 11 a.m., school officials were notified of an incident that happened over the weekend that could have spilled over into the school. School representatives said the tip was reported to the school by a parent.

Police were notified of the situation after the student involved in the threat did not show up to school on Monday. School officials are not sharing details about what happened over the weekend to cause the lockdown.

School officials said all students are safe and the school is secure. The lockdown has expired and the school is operating as usual.
