CNN Anchor Goes Off – Calls for Ban on Guns, Bullets & Automatic Weapons (Video)

CNN liberal Don Lemon went on an antigun tirade today following the Sandy Hook massacre on Friday.
Lemon called for a ban on guns, bullets and automatic weapons in public.

Transcript via NewsBusters:

We need to get guns and bullets and automatic weapons off the streets. They should only be available to police officers and to hunt al-Qaeda and the Taliban and not hunt elementary school children,” an emotional Lemon appealed.”

Earlier on CNN – Soledad O’Brien urged Obama to “track” people and firearms.

Tell it to the gangbangers, Lemon. And to your President. How many children have died as a result of Fast and Furious?

Why the automatic italicized letters? I didn’t do it.

OK, let’s get all the illegal guns off the street. Go for it. When you’ve done that, let’s see if we still have a problem.

F### off you Moron. Read the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution you idiot some time while you’re sitting on the john.

..the right of the people to keep and bear arms , shall not be infringed.

In order take away guns from the America people would require changing the Constitution of The United States! It would be impossible to take all of the guns from every owner in the country. We all have places to stash stuff like this that the Fed’s will never find.

  • Iconoclast

And would that include private bodyguards too? If not, why not?

Not all Jews are suicidal liberals. Watch documentary Innocents Betrayed, hosted by “Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership (JFPO)”.

“What killed the most unarmed men, women and children in the 20th Century? Not street crime. Not war. Not terrorist attacks. The biggest killer was government — government killing its own population.

Professor R.J. Rummel, one of the world’s authorities on genocide, conservatively estimated that governments murdered 170,000,000 people in that century. That amount averages more than the terrorist death toll of September 11, 2003, every day for 100 years.

Putting a human face on these grisly statistics comes the new documentary film, Innocents Betrayed. The film shows how genocide and mass murder could destroy so many lives in nations all over the world. In every case, the victims were disarmed by ideas and laws that discouraged private self-defense. When the people lacked the power to resist, then organized killing could proceed with little difficulty.

How about those Lib rap gangsta babblers screaming lyrics that glorify violence, the libs that produce those CD’s, the movie producers and the celebrities in the movies that glorify violence? They are all raking in the big dollars doing it. Any comment about that Mr. Lemon? Or is it just that you know your savior Obama can’t announce he is now Emperor of Amerika as long as us stupid, uncool, simple-minded and unsophisticated, patriotic rednecks still have our guns?

As for Don Lemon, his comments are a bit hypocritical given that
his honorable ancestors were very probably prohibited from legally owning and using firearms for personal protection, hunting, and target shooting by white supremacists.

Lemon should read Clayton Cramer’s book on the racist roots of gun control–he’d get a real education.

Well, I can certainly see where THIS is going. Silly me … and I thought the big battle looming in America between liberals and patriots was going to be over politics, or entitlements, or taxes …

It’s comical. A few million overzealous, mostly unarmed and uneducated idiots picking a fight over gun ownership with the millions of impassioned, law-abiding gun owners in America, who have been arming themselves to the teeth and buying ammunition by the crate for the last twenty years… LOL! This battle will be nothing if not short and loud.

On BBC-America morning news today there was an on-set interview between the ‘Presenter’ and a well-spoken, clearly educated/intelligent, attractively mature and apparently 50-something black woman, whose appearance was professional, calm and superb.

I caught it after the interview began, so I just assumed that she was an Obot. However, after listening to her I figured I made a presumptuous mistake. I still don’t know who she is, but she made an Excellent! presentation of the American way. I was actually taken by her. I wondered why I had never seen/heard of this remarkable black woman. She was getting it Right! She explained America correctly and well.

stay tuned, there’s a punch line.

The BBC carries a notorious liberal slant and the ‘Presenter” asked what is wrong with America that it can’t control guns- not a surprise question. The woman explained that America has a Constitution and States (unlike Britain) and the core of the 2nd Amendment is the Individual’s Right to Bear Arms.

Then, she went on to say that despite many court rulings against the Constitution (huh?! yes, I know) the gun culture is deeply embedded in the American mindset and culture (it’s getting better) and that if anyone can change that, Obama can. (ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding…)

Wow! did I learn valuable lessons today: (still capable of learning more and more)
    1) trust your gut feelings, it has been honed, sharpened and educated through many experiences
    2) these frikkin’ Leftists are getting more and more sophisticated, devious and poisonous
    3) these frikkin’ Leftists know EXACTLY! what they’re doing and WHY

y’know how many times we hear how they want to destroy the Constitution on their way to ultimately undoing the Founding of America, remake it into their utopia and establish their tyranny?
well, it still means a helluvalot to see it first-hand, up-close and personal- vividly explained.

these frikkin’ Leftists know all about the Constitution, they even understand it and they DON’T LIKE IT! They are all about Destruction and MUST be fought, as hard and tough and severe as we have to.

A False Ad About Assault Weapons

    [Machine Guns Still Illegal

Contrary to what the ad clearly implies, any weapon that can fire 300
rounds per minute remains illegal for civilians to own without specific
clearance by the US Department of Justice.

In fact, machine guns have been tightly regulated since the passage
of the National Firearms Act in 1934, in the wake of the gangster era.
Legal ownership of a machine gun requires an extensive federal
background check, fingerprinting, signed clearance from the chief of
ocal law enforcement (such as a county sheriff), a $200 excise tax,
and weeks of paperwork. That was true before the assault-weapon
ban was enacted in 1994, and it remains true with the expiration of
the ban at midnight Sept. 13, 2004.

That’s made clear in a question-and-answer document posted Sept.
13 on the Web site of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives (ATF), explaining the effect of the expiration of the
    assault-weapon ban:

ATF: All provisions of the National Firearms Act (NFA) relating
to registration and transfer of machineguns . . . still apply.

The fully automatic version of the AK47 — pictured and described
in the ad — remains just as illegal as it was before the ban expired.]

Soledad O’Brien urged Obama to “track” people and firearms.

The government is already doing that, tracking people, and has been doing it for quite some time.

No warrant, no problem: How the government can still get your digital data

What can they get without a warrant? Quite a lot, really. They can get:

    1. Phone records: Who you called, when you called
    2. Location data: Your (cell) phone is a tracker
    3. IP addresses: What computers you used
    4. E-mails: Messages you sent months ago
    5. E-mail drafts: Drafts are different
    6. Text messages: As with e-mails, so with texts
    7. Cloud data: Documents, photos, and other stuff stored online
    8. Social media: The new privacy frontier

    History lesson:

even the most vile Tyrants have needed at least this one thing: they must secure the support of their military. this is one reason why so many Generals became Dictators.

Julius Caesar intimidated the Roman Senate because he had the Legions on his side
Napoleon could take over France after his military success
and… even Hitler did what he had to do to secure the loyalty of his military

There is no antidote for Evil

[There is no other explanation for the events in Newtown, Connecticut
last week. Guns were the tool, not the cause. Even to blame ‘mental
illness’–as many have in the past three days–would be too simplistic.

By its inherent definition, a criminal is one with disregard for laws, or
one for whom the consequences of breaking a law outweigh the gain
that individual plans to achieve from breaking a law. That means that
no matter how many gun laws or “Gun-Free Zone” signs America has,
criminals will still attain firearms, and they will still use them to commit
    heinous acts.

The reality of gun control is that it only disarms law-abiding citizens –
the very people who could use a firearm to protect themselves, their
families, or, dare I say it, their students. There are countless examples
of people using guns to thwart the efforts of criminals–particularly in
robberies and home invasions. But these stories are not nearly as
widely reported as stories of shootings are.]

it really was a miracle that they recovered just in time to turn back the Germans. The Russian people were truly stout.

Some in America jump to any soap box, in order to have their opinions heard. One of the most tragic things we have witness during the Holiday Season and it is time to allow the families who have lost their precious child to try and ill. Some may later on express their feelings about Guns and Gun Control but for the anchors, I wish they would give it a minute to set in, especially for the parents and families who lost love ones.

Immediately Obama say we cannot tolerate this sort of tragedy, true, and there are many tragedies we cannot tolerate. But reading in between the lines, gun controls will now be on the table in Washington but this will never end evil.

It would take 100 years to take all the guns from Americans. So, while we wait for that to happen, lets face the fact that the medicines that are being given to children with Autism or other mental and emotional problems are not working in all children. They sometimes have the opposite affect.

Locking down schools is one thing but I still feel we must guard our children like our money.

Banks do it, now what about our children. My family lost children one a two years old and other at 30 years old. I have some idea what these families feel but their deaths were not at the hands of a disturbed young man.

There will be some children who will be scared for life. Why does this tragedy need to be capitalized on by an immature anchor who can show compassion for just a week or so.

  • Patty

    cannot show compassion.

    Discovery Series ‘American Guns’ Cancelled

There will not be a third season of Discovery‘s docu reality series American Guns. The show, about a family of gun makers, has been drawing attention following Friday’s elementary school shooting in a Connecticut in which 26 people — including 20 first-grade children — were gunned down by a 20-year-old whose mom was a gun collector. There have been angry messages posted by viewers on the show’s Facebook page. American Guns has now been cancelled. Discovery sources indicate the decision was quietly made awhile ago, however it didn’t come to light until today. “American Guns concluded earlier this year,” a spokesperson said. “Discovery Channel chose not to renew the series and has no plans to air repeats of the show.” The fact that the network is not even keeping repeats of the show on the air indicate that the Connecticut tragedy may have played at least some part in the decision.

The second season of American Guns got off to a strong start in April with 1.15 HH, 0.87 in adults 25-54 and 0.79 in adults 18-49, up 50% from last year’s series premiere. But the ratings subsequently dropped off and, in the end, Season 2 finished down double-digits from Season 1. I hear Discovery brass also felt there was no story left to tell, contributing to the cancellation decision. American Guns joins two veteran Discovery series that have been recently cancelled: Dirty Jobs and American Chopper.

ANYONE CAN BE A GUN-MAKER: “Regulation or banning of firearms… will soon be impossible”

Three months ago, the gunsmiths behind the group known as Defense Distributed announced their intention to create a working, lethal gun anyone can download and 3D-print at home. Now their experiments with actual 3D-printed firearm components and live ammunition have started. And they’re documenting their progress on video.

Over the weekend the project’s founder Cody Wilson posted a YouTube clip of the group testing an AR-15 semi-automatic weapon Defense Distributed assembled with a 3D-printed lower receiver, the highly-regulated component that serves as the body of the gun onto which the barrel, stock, magazine and other elements are attached…

…The result of Defense Distributed’s experiment: Their home-printed AR-15 piece cracked and fell apart after firing just six rounds. But Wilson still considers their first test of a partially-downloadable weapon a successful learning experience…

…A lower receiver has special significance to gun enthusiasts: It’s the central part of the weapon that’s regulated by gun control laws and trackable by serial number. Print your own lower-receiver at home, and in many states all the other parts can be obtained without background checks or even identification.[…………………………]

    OT but still amount guns.

Gun prosecutions under Obama down more than 45 percent

Despite his calls for greater gun control, including a new assault weapons ban that extends to handguns, President Obama’s administration has turned away from enforcing gun laws, cutting weapons prosecutions some 40 percent since a high of about 11,000 under former President Bush.

“If you are not going to enforce the laws on the books, then don’t start talking about a whole new wave of new laws,” said a gun rights advocate.

In the wake of the horrific mass killing at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., Democratic lawmakers have begun preparing a new collection of anti-gun laws, including renewing the assault weapons ban, banning the purchase of high-capacity clips that spring bullets into guns, and tightening rules on who can buy weapons.

Lawmakers are banking that the public will push for new gun controls. But as with other mass shootings, polls find the public split, and blaming the shooter, not the gun. Pew Research Center for the People & the Press on Monday found that public is evenly divided over whether the Newtown shootings reflect broader problems in American society, 47 percent, or are just the acts of troubled individuals, 44 percent.

Figures collected by Syracuse University’s TRAC project, the authority on prosecutions from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, shows that the administration has reduced the focus on gun crimes and instead steered prosecutors and investigators to drug crimes.

Gun prosecutions peaked at 10,937 under Bush in 2004. A current TRAC report shows that the Obama administration is prosecuting about 6,000 weapons cases.[………………]

Obama May Inadvertently Boost Gun Sales

When President Barack Obama spoke to shell-shocked residents of Newtown, Conn., his words were meant to comfort.

“We can’t tolerate this anymore,” he said two days after a gunman murdered 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School. “These tragedies must end. And to end them, we must change.”

But the first change that could come from stepped-up efforts to prevent mass shooting is one the president doesn’t intend: A surge in gun sales, and in profits for firearms manufacturers.

One irony of the gun-control movement is that gun sales usually rise whenever there’s talk of new efforts to limit them. In fact, the firearms industry has enjoyed some of its best years ever since 2008, as if the grueling recession and weak recovery didn’t even happen. The industry’s economic impact rose from $6.8 billion in 2008 to $13.6 billion in 2011, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation, a trade group. That’s a 100 percent increase over a time when overall economic output grew by only 11 percent. The gun business employs nearly 100,000 people, up from 76,000 in 2008. “Our industry is proud to be one of the bright spots in this economy,” the NSSF proclaims in promotional literature.[…………….]

The Dead Soul of Adam Lanza

Since the news first came in Friday from Newtown, we have argued about guns in America and mental illness, but heard little about the moral sickness of our society.

Americans have always owned guns. But in Prohibition, when gangsters like John Dillinger, “Machine Gun” Kelly and “Baby Face” Nelson were notorious, the most remembered atrocity was the “St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.” Al Capone’s gang executed seven of Bugs Moran’s gang in a Chicago garage.

Yet, just two years ago, when one Washington, D.C., drive-by shooting ended with four dead on a sidewalk and five wounded, it was just local news.

Why are these atrocities growing more frequent and deadly?

We are told that it is because the guns used — especially assault rifles like Russian-made AK-47s and civilian copies of the M-16 used in Vietnam, like the Bushmaster — are all too available.

But the guns used in the Sandy Hook massacre were legally purchased by Lanza’s mother, and she and Adam lived in a state with some of the strictest gun laws in the country. [……………..]

Personally, I have my own opinion of Lanza. Christmas is a time for Christ, Children, Families, Joy and Happiness and this young man had none of that. It became too much and he felt alone and just had no place in this world, so he had to do something dramatic and he did.

You can do it. Get Thebiigest stars to give up their guards, Oprah=sure, you are apparently black and she is surprisngly black. So use yr clout, man,
Then when H’wood has dis armedand their guards only have the “kung-fu grip” then we can talk.
How bout mental health duscussions, irst? How bout closing the border. How bout talking about how spending is killing our kids and grand kids…

Must be nice to be able to sit around spouting bromides with no real analysis of anything–how tidy and mentally untaxing. The left lives in fantasy land–happily chirping their willfully naive mantras while the rest of us see and choose to deal with the inconvenient and often harsh realities of human nature.

Tell you what Donnie…go to Chicago where they have very stringent gun laws and see if the gangbangers and drug dealers have laid down their arms for fear of being prosecuted.

The Chicago police one of the largest in the nation can’t handle the regular criminals much less the gangbangers who are responsible for the city’s large number of murders. Rahm Emmanuel has resorted to pleading with the Nation of Islam to ‘help’.

In a culture of ‘no snitching’ on criminals, Chicago’s pitiful response to criminal violence is only window dressing. Dangerous window dressing because it gives legitimacy to non-accountable outside groups. Not quite vigilantes but with a little push they can be. Yet the city keeps trying to find and punish legal gun owners because they will not find the courage or the will to admit they need to crack down on those who are at war with decent law-abiding citizens.

Dr. Michael Savage said he would surrender his weapons, if the Pres, Cong, annex Senate give up their Secret service protection.

Tracking people and firearms worked out well with fast and furious, so I guess liberals want to make a nationwide fast and furious. They make me sick………

  • David

Just another liberal idiot with a Disney World mentality pandering to the few zombies that watch CNN. When only Obama and his thugs have guns, how safe will TRUE AMERICANS be?

  • Sherry

    Definition of Gun CONtrol:
    Anti-2nd Amendment Democrat CON game
    that pretends to prevent crime
    while infringing upon
    The Constitutional rights
    of law abiding Americans.
    A precursor of tyrannical government.

James Madison said “If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, no controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government of men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: You must first enable the government to control the governed, and in the next place oblige it to control itself” Just as we have civil laws to restrain men in society, so we have constitutional laws to restrain men in power.

  • Watch what happens when a nation bans guns…………………..

I bet this Negro be packin!

  • Notice that these idiots didn’t care about 200 Mexicans killed by criminals using automatic rifles supplied by Obama.

  • Adirondack Patriot

He speaks so clearly for someone who had Bob Costas’ c*ck in his mouth.

By the way, Republicans need to fire up the Fast and Furious fight against EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE involving the sale of ASSAULT WEAPONS to Mexican drug dealers.

I’m with ya Don. Let’s do it this way. You, me, Obama and Holder will get on a bus. Our first place will be Chicago. We’ll walk through the South Side and politely ask all those young Obama lovers to just hand them over. Of course, we’ll need a few trucks to haul them away. Then we’ll head to New York, sashay through the Bronx, Brooklyn etc., where we will be lovingly met by all those wonderful, disenfranchised young folks who will willingly hand them over. Oh, and on the way back, we’ll make a short stop in Philly. How’s that sound?

  • Chris W.

I’d rather listen to Meadowlark Lemon than Don Lemon.

  • TrickyDick

How many time do these morons have to be told. No one since the St. Valentines Day massacre has used automatic weapons. STFU already!
