Breaking: House Cancels Tonight’s Vote on Fiscal Cliff “Plan B”

According to FOX News the House cancelled tonight’s vote on fiscal cliff “plan B”. The Republicans didn’t have enough votes to raise taxes on those making over one million dollars a year.
CNBC reported:

In a major setback for House Speaker John Boehner, Republicans abruptly canceled a vote Thursday night on a plan to raise taxes for the wealthy when the GOP leader conceded he didn’t have enough support for the bill.

The House then recessed until after Christmas, bringing the country closer to the “fiscal cliff” deadline without any deal.

Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor had predicted passage of the “Plan B” bill to raise taxes on people earning over $1 million a year, despite opposition from conservatives.

Boner making Rs walk the plank on career ending votes to raise taxes on Christmas Eve…….after Reid says the measure is DOA in the Senate…and for what ? To stop sequestration SPENDING CUTS..that hit military industrial corporations in D blue states.
Defense is not where we want cuts, but a cut is a cut and its better than no cuts.

So the whole debt ceiling bill Boner passed was a FAKE crafted to get through the election …only to be yanked back in the lame duck. He is a FRAUD….A Flim Flam amateur magic act. Country Club Con artists like BONER are why people don’t invest their money and time in this party.

I hope Boehner learned his lesson…

    Extremely unlikely.

The GOP of 2012 is looking more and more like the Democrats of 1968. We used to be the party with discipline while they were fragmented. The shoe is now on the other foot.

No doubt, he’s not real bright nor sober. Saying he did his part was not the answer – the answer is to shut the government down and if he had followed that advice last year he would not be in the unenviable position he placed himself.

We must have a different perspective on the term “disciplined”.

Solving problems versus perpetuating the issue to demagogue is the difference in the two parties.

The “Levin Surge” helped a lot. I had just got home from work and was about to call when the news came in that the vote was called off.

The repubics need to sit on their hands and shut up. The RINOs, especially the 3 little pigs, Boehner, Cantor and The Other One, need to be shown the door.

Gee replacing conservatives with the Weeper-of-the-House’s buddy had an UNFORSEEN consequence.
Next month his confirmantion election should put an end to his speakership

Boehner is worthless. Don’t play the stupid game with the dictator. The are any number of things(as mentioned by Rush, Levin, Gingrich, etc) that could have been done without having to ‘bend over.’ Bush with his growing govt, big spending and wars without end, made the dictator possible. These guys will never learn.

Boehner needs to be replaced. His problem is that he wants/ needs to be liked, to get along just to get along. You cannot get along with the likes of Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.

I hope Boehner sees the writing on the wall and steps down, but sadly that rarely happens with those that have tasted power.

Most Republicans in the house are in safe districts. Their biggest political dangers come from being primaried.
BTW,what is so great about having the house anyways if the Dems control the wh and senate?

FEMA CONCENTRATION CAMPS: Locations and Executive Orders

[There over 800 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards, but they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States and all it would take is a presidential signature on a proclamation and the attorney general’s signature on a warrant to which a list of names is attached. Ask yourself if you really want to be on Ashcroft’s list.

The Rex 84 Program was established on the reasoning that if a “mass exodus” of illegal aliens crossed the Mexican/US border, they would be quickly rounded up and detained in detention centers by FEMA. Rex 84 allowed many military bases to be closed down and to be turned into prisons.

Operation Cable Splicer and Garden Plot are the two sub programs which will be implemented once the Rex 84 program is initiated for its proper purpose. Garden Plot is the program to control the population. Cable Splicer is the program for an orderly takeover of the state and local governments by the federal government. FEMA is the executive arm of the coming police state and thus will head up all operations. The Presidential Executive Orders already listed on the Federal Register also are part of the legal framework for this operation.

The camps all have railroad facilities as well as roads leading to and from the detention facilities. Many also have an airport nearby. The majority of the camps can house a population of 20,000 prisoners. Currently, the largest of these facilities is just outside of Fairbanks, Alaska. The Alaskan facility is a massive mental health facility and can hold approximately 2 million people.]

haven’t checked it all out as yet,
    there’s oodles of info available..

Let’s get rid of them all.. Libertarian is the only true conservative movement of any size left.. The Republican Party has become another branch of the leftist regime (Like Levin says “Democrat Lite”). Time to rebel! Be loud! Shout it to the hills! Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happieness! There can be not concessions on these principles.. Do not shirk from your duties.. God save America!

I would agree to a $250,000 and up tax increase if the following legislation items were passed and signed into law prior to the tax increase “on the rich” goes into effect.
    1. Eliminate “base line budgeting”. Return to each department preparing a yearly line item budget. To re-institute base line budgeting or to authorize congress to circumvent the budget process, would require a 2/3 majority vote in both houses and a presidential signature. It would be interesting listening to the damndemocrats explain why they don’t have to do their Constitutional duty.
    2. A 2 percent per year for five years manditory decrease in each and every department’s budget. Don’t care how, just do it. The same 2/3 majority to change, alter or recind the 2 percent.
    3. Continuing Resolutions shall not apply or be used to circumvent the budget process. Again, 2/3 to mess with it. Gee, congress would have to do actual work.
Of course, I woke up from this dream with a terrible hangover.

Last time I heard, Boehner was the highest bidder for Depardieu’s Paris house.

#37jim…people like you are the reason we have lost the right to the fruits our labor. you are always willing to have your taxes raised if the politicans will do whatever. well taxes ALWAYS get raised but WHATEVER never comes. the politicans don’t want to raise taxes to CUT spending they want to raise taxes to INCREASE spending. if they cared one iota about the deficit they never would have spent all that money in the first place.

  • jorgen

This means that Boehner won´t be reelected 3rd January.
