Breaking: House Cancels Tonight’s Vote on Fiscal Cliff “Plan B”

According to FOX News the House cancelled tonight’s vote on fiscal cliff “plan B”. The Republicans didn’t have enough votes to raise taxes on those making over one million dollars a year.
CNBC reported:

In a major setback for House Speaker John Boehner, Republicans abruptly canceled a vote Thursday night on a plan to raise taxes for the wealthy when the GOP leader conceded he didn’t have enough support for the bill.

The House then recessed until after Christmas, bringing the country closer to the “fiscal cliff” deadline without any deal.

Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor had predicted passage of the “Plan B” bill to raise taxes on people earning over $1 million a year, despite opposition from conservatives.
