Breaking: Steven Crowder and AFP File Criminal Complaints After Union Assault

Tuesday in Lansing, Michigan union goons trampled and destroyed conservative group Americans for Prosperity’s tent during protests against right to work legislation. AFP members were caught inside the tent during the violent attack. Conservative Steven Crowder was brutally assaulted by the union goons while trying to keep the peace outside the tent.

This was a very dangerous event that was totally ignored by the liberal media.

This afternoon AFP filed a complaint in Michigan over the assault by union members and destruction of their tent.
Via On the Record:

Fox News commentator Steven Crowder has filed a complaint with the Michigan State Police in relation to an assault he sustained by a pro-union protester while attending a demonstration outside Michigan’s state capitol on December, 11. The protesters were demonstrating against the state legislature’s efforts to pass right to work laws in the heavily unionized state. Crowder joined the protests in support of those controversial laws.

FOX News contributor Steven Crowder also filed a criminal complaint after he was assaulted in Lansing.
Free Republic reported:

The Washington Post’s Erik Wemple spoke with Richard Hale, the shift supervisor at the Lansing post of the Michigan State Police, who confirmed that Crowder has begun the process of filing a criminal complaint:

“By calling in, he’s in essence filed a complaint. He’s initiated the process for the filing of a criminal complaint,” Hale told Wemple.

Since the incident, Crowder says that he has legitimate fears for his safety as he is receiving disturbing threats on a regular basis.

An entity (AFP) can’t make a “complaint” against anyone. If a crime has been committed, the victim has to make contact the police and make the complaint. Thus, Steven Crowder (as the victim) would have to contact the police and report the crime.

okay, guess one would call the followingt brutal..

“I was sucker-punched four times on camera, without retaliation,
choked, and the AFP tent is torn to the ground with women and
    children inside of it.”

btw, about that fat “get out of my face” guy (aka liar)..

the seiu guys charged with assaulting Kenneth Gladney were found innocent and when you consider the make-up of the jury…… do what you can do and let the videos back you up.
without looking, this is billed as an unedited video and i don’t know if it’s been here……..

I stand with the unions, and believe “Right to work” is a carefully worded law to fool people if you will, but I do not support many of the politicians that the unions have supported recently, If I were these guys, (union guys) I would be p*ssed off too…I absolutely love this website, although I must admit, I am NO fan of “Right to Work.”

There is enough evidence here from eye witnesses and video to prosecute some union goons. Additionally, AFP must get some conservative lawyers and file civil charges against every union that can be identified or linked to this situation.
If this was democrats or liberals they would have been at the courthouse in minutes. Play the same game as they do….

[“Get the (expletive) out of my face,” one man repeatedly says to Crowder during the skirmish.
Who is he? “I am the vice-griever for Local 1299, United Steelworkers,” says Wheeler Marsee.]

“I am NO fan of “Right to Work.” i’m no fan of having to join a union in order to work.

No reason ever for union representation in public sector period…….union cops ignoring union violence totally unacceptable. In a perfect world the “government” (local, state, federal) is small and totally non-union.

Every socialist dictator has used Unions to get and maintain power. Obama knows he can use the unions as a sort of private army to frighten the opposition, and that’s just what he’s doing. Just wait until Obama decides he needs a third term to transform America. Who knows? Maybe he’ll give them all matching brown shirts to wear or nice matching jumpsuits. This stuff has a well-documented history and if we had any real press in this country, they would probably notice the similarities now far exceed the differences between the Opie regime and past butcherous tyrannies, but oh well. He supports gay marriage and he’s got black skin, so he must be cooler and smarter than everyone in the world.

If it already hasn’t been done (quite possibly I’ve missed it), lawyers committed to the rule of law and civility in politics — not just conservative lawyers — ought to be working with groups affiliated with the Tea Party, such as AFP, on a national plan to: (1) sue unions, and other “progressive” activist organizations, AND THEIR INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS who carry out violent actions such as occurred here, for past actions; and (2) get the word out that they can expect similar lawsuits for similar behavior in the future.

Once a few such lawsuits are on file, and a website organizing information on them is set up, flyers can be handed out to leftists at future events putting them on notice of such lawsuits, and of the website, and warning them that they may well face lawsuits against them if engage in such activity.

If the mass media’s not going to cover this and shame leftists into behaving, isn’t an organized campaign of litigation a logical alternative? That’s exactly the sort of thing that liberal groups would have done by now at the drop of a hat (e.g., the civil litigation launched early on against protesters at abortion clinics). Some fine work has already been done mounting civil litigation against liberals suspected of “SWATing” conservative bloggers (work covered by The Other McCain, Legal Insurrection, Patterico, and others).

Unions are using what amounts to terrorism to keep it so they can steal from hard working people in this country. They are in the pocket of Obama and his forty thieves in congress so they need all the money they can steal to stay in power.

  • Militant Conservative

Sadly I may have to join a union to get a job in this economy.

Oil field worker. Not the public sector goons.

not all unions are bad, many, but not all.

  • occam

Crowder said he provoked them and then he got his butt whipped by fat guy 20 years older than himself. Lansing police are unionized and are laughing at all this. Crowder is a nut job who makes the conservatives look lame.
