Staten Island Resident: We Just Found 3 More Dead Bodies in the Pile Today… Where Is the Government Assistance? (Video)

Staten Island resident John Tabacco told Neil Cavuto this morning that Staten Island is still alone.
** There is no federal help.
** The feds just drive by with their clipboards.
** We just found three more dead people in the pile this morning.

John Tabacco on the situation in Staten Island:

“This morning we’re distributing stuff here and we’re helping people dig out and we hear the sanitation guys scream out that there are bodies in the pile. Everybody jumps on the pile and starts pulling away debris. And, unfortunately, probably not reported right now, it was probably an hour and a half ago, certainly three more people deceased. God bless them… We keep seeing these huge convoys of FEMA and Janet Napolitano and Homeland Security driving by with clipboards writing things down. But there’s not a single soul in the street. We have volunteers and other people coming out giving water from their own homes. People need gloves. People need blankets and you can get to these homes. The question is, where is the government assistance?

But this is not really important according to the liberal media since Obama is the president.

U.S. Military to Deliver Fuel to New York Region

Amid tense reactions to long lines and closures at metropolitan New York gas stations, federal authorities decided to request that the Defense Department deliver 24 million gallons of extra fuel to the area and lift restrictions on deliveries from foreign ships, the New York Times reported. The fuel shortage has been one of the most pronounced consequences of Superstorm Sandy. The Defense Department will hire hundreds of trucks to deliver 12 million gallons each of gasoline and diesel fuel from commercial suppliers to staging areas in New Jersey. A delivery of that size would fill about 800,000 vehicles with 15-gallon…

Residents at Long Beach City Hall Wednesday afternoon said they cannot believe they are standing in line for food and water.

The National Guard is distributing self-heated emergency meals and cases of water provided by FEMA.

Olga Blanco lives on East Chester on the 100 block. Her home experienced severe flooding.

“I have … diabetes,” she said as she toted away cases of food and water.

Another man who lives in The Walks section said he ran out of food yesterday.

FEMA ran out of food by 2 p.m.

FEMA Out of Water, No Delivery Until Monday

FEMA’s vaunted “lean forward” strategy that called for advanced staging of supplies for emergency distribution failed to live up to its billing in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

In fact, the agency appears to have been completely unprepared to distribute bottled water to Hurricane Sandy victims when the storm hit this Monday. In contrast to its stated policy, FEMA failed to have any meaningful supplies of bottled water — or any other supplies, for that matter — stored in nearby facilities as it had proclaimed it would on its website. This was the case despite several days advance warning of the impending storm.

  • paul52

BTW, where is our military in the Northeast??? Fort Dix is in NJ and Andrews AFB is in Maryland. Security and supplies could certainly be obtained from these sources???

  • Patty

They could easily air lift supplies and military could go door to door to help.

REALLY I CANNOT IMAGINE IN THIS NATION PEOPLE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS WITH FOOD AND WATER.

    Applying Bush/Katrina rules to Obama/Sandy

As of Noon on Day Three after Hurricane Sandy’s landfall, the death toll stands at 55 and over four million residents remain without electric power. All this, despite the fact that President Barack Obama and his non-Brownie-led Federal Emergency Management Agency had a week to prepare for this natural disaster. Moreover, much of the damage in New Jersey was caused by a levee break, despite the fact that Obama’s Stimulus bill was passed over three years ago.

Americans are suffering, and many of them are white; which raises the question: Does President Obama not care about white people.

Then-Senator Barack Obama in 2007, after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and much of the Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast: {…………………….]

    [………………]
Obama went on to claim that President Bush and Republicans in Congress had refused to waive a federal law requiring matching state funds before federal aid could be expedited. He lied. In fact, President Bush had already signed a bill passed by the GOP Congress that waived the Stafford Act, and Senator Obama voted against it!

But not to worry, unlike his successor, this President will not merely fly over the damaged terrain. Rather, he will bring his entourage into the Garden State. No word on whether the Secret Service will deliver aid to the homeless hookers that usually frequent the Boardwalk.

Why weren’t those killed by Sandy evacuated by the Obama Administration? Why hadn’t the levee been made impregnable against a category one hurricane? After all, CNN and Fox News are able to power their equipment.

Popular Mechanics published an extensive report on Hurricane Katrina in 2006 which debunks the many myths concerning the event and its aftermath, including the suggestion that the response by the Bush Administration was slow and inadequate.

Most observers around the world marveled at how few died as a result of the Gulf storm, given its intensity and size, and how quickly victims were provided relief. But the “news” reporting remained in line with the liberal Democrat Party/Media template of the past 40+ years that Republicans are racists. Never mind the massive private disaster rescues and aid provided by the mostly white Southern Baptist Convention to mostly Black victims.

Obama, CNN and even Fox News, comeuppance is a bitch, ain’t it? DeVine justice would have the Obama/Biden ticket lose some northeastern blue states due to 1%-ers too busy rebuilding their lives to vote. Common sense would have the Romney/Ryan ticket carry 50 states due to the epic failures of President Obama on the economy.

    Hurricane Katrina
After Blasting Government for Katrina Response, Media Silent as New York Ignores Sandy Victims

In the days following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, America’s media elite blasted the former Bush administration for not providing relief supplies to residents who were affected by the storm. With a Democrat in the White House now, however, reporters are saying almost nothing as New Yorkers are being ignored by various levels of government.

With hundreds of thousands of his own residents are stuck with no power, water, gasoline or food on Staten Island, New York mayor Michael Bloomberg has allowed the annual marathon that runs through the city’s boroughs to continue as scheduled. That decision ought to have set off New York’s media elite but instead, they are actually gearing up to cover the non-essential race and not condemning the city for diverting resources from helping storm victims to prep for the race.

Somehow I picture Cuomo and Doomberg running in circles crying “What to do?” “What to do?”
Those of us with any sense know libs have a hard time making the right decisions on important issues much less responding when there is a crisis.

I was wondering about where all that food and water went myself.

Forget the military. Last I read, Cuomo said he didn’t want the military.

I got off I-84 just west of Brewster NY this morning and there was a line of 30-40 cars wrapped around the corner to enter gas station…..This is over 50 miles north of NYC…

We had just gone through a similar storm last year. Its a predicatble situation…Power goes out, gas stations cannot operate , people cannot fill car to get out of the area. Bringing in a few generators to power gas stations would be BIG relief to people. This suffering could have been avoided with better management , but Obama has sent in the lesbian ranger clip board brigade from his youth Americorp army ….>

The discussion about running the New York Marathon this year turned from displeasure to absolute hatred for anyone who loves the sport and participates in it.

I’ve lived here for over 20 years and I can tell you that the myth that New Yorkers are tough and have a chip on their shoulders and that they can handle anything and anyone. Well, That myth has been shattered. They are just like everyone else.

  • Buffalobob

Lighten up on Bloomies handling of the disaster, after all he didn’t send the people to the Super Dome like Nagin did in New orleans where the toilets only had one flush. Instead he had them stay in the projects where they only had one flush. From a global warming believer he did save the planet a lot of unnecessary water flushing, and may set the future standard for flushes allowed in any given month for NYC residents.

  • Mekan

Give? I thought that is why liberal NYC took so much of my money in taxes, because we all know big government is the best way to help.

I am just kidding and feel sorry for these people. I just know they will not make a connection to the failure of government and simply think more taxes are needed in the future.

OH, where is the media like they were in Katrina? Does Obama hate white people and that is why he failed to lower the seas?

  • squeaky

i guess “obama hates black people” doesn’t have the same ring to it. the weather isn’t going to get any kinder

  • Watching the weather channel, they interviewed a guy sitting in his RUNNING car waiting for gas. He had been in line at another gas station for 3 hours, they ran out of gas and now he has been waiting in the current line for 2 hours. WITH HIS VEHICLE RUNNING.

Another guy in an interview (maybe on fox) yesterday said he was sitting and waiting for gas for so long that he burnt 5 gallons of gas just waiting in line! ?

OMGosh, I cannot believe the stupidity.

  • The winter before last, my daughter, dog and I got stuck in a surprise ice storm. We were about 3 miles from home, but the roads were black ice (in the country, no work on roads during a storm) anyway, we were stuck at a gas station. We were flat broke in the bank account, so I was unable to get any gas and I had less than 1/4 of a tank. From 9pm to at least 9am the next day, I spent the time making sure we kept as warm as possible in the vehicle (we carry blankets at all times in our car) by staying awake, turning the auto on every now and again and heating it up but then shutting it back off and dealing with the extreme cold. To me, THIS IS COMMON SENSE… I did not have much gas, I was unable to get anymore gas, and so I reserved gas.

TeachX. Sort of reminds me of those who pull into the hamburger joint and the line of cars at the drive-thru is almost to the street. Me. I park my car and go inside and am out mucho pronto while the cars have barely moved.

  • chuck in st paul

#23 donh, think about this – the Army and other services own thousands of portable generators, thousands. If the Governor and the Mayor had their poops together then at least half the gas stations could be pumping gas right now with a rotation schedule. Water pumps could have been isolated from the grid and powered up enough to get minimum service up and running at the same time – even if it was just the hydrants and the first floors.

So FEEBLE (aka fema) couldn’t figure this out decades ago? Or even since Katrina? The Guard and the regulars could have had emergency power on site within 24 hours. Except of course that the Mayor and presumably also the Governor told the Guard to stand down and forbid the federal regulars from entering.

Way to go there Nanny State. Congratulations! You proved us right – you’re useless.

The major lesson here is not to wait for government to save the day… it will always boil down to individual responsibility… people need to depend on themselves to help their situation…. not depend on the government.

Government tells public to stay away from free gas until after first responders fuel up

NEW YORK — The government says the public should stay away from free New York fuel stations until emergency responders get their gas.

National Guard Col. Richard Goldenberg said Saturday afternoon that people who were already at the distribution sites would not be turned away.

But he says the priority would be giving gas to law enforcement agents, firefighters, EMTs and other emergency responders. That included gas for their personal vehicles, if necessary, so they could get to work.

Give O’boo-boo, Cuomo and Bloomberg fiddles; they can entertain the masses so they forget they are being purposely ignored by the very same politicians that said help was on the way.

  • pagar

The man Americans voted for in 2008 to head up this government has never so much as ran a lemonade stand. Where do you think he would acquire the skills to get bottled water to millions of people. Vote as if your life, your families lives, your friends , your neighbors your fellow countrymen’s lives depended on it. Vote Romney!

NYC Mayor Bloomberg wouldn’t let National Guard into Brooklyn over their possession of guns…

Bloomberg: The National Guard in Coney is a bad idea – “We don’t need it,” Mayor Bloomberg said on Wednesday during a press update on the city’s ongoing Hurricane Sandy cleanup. “The NYPD is the only people we want on the street with guns.” Markowitz demanded the National Guard’s help just an hour before Bloomberg’s press conference, claiming that the NYPD and FDNY are “brave – but overwhelmed” by all the challenges Sandy brought when it visited the borough on Monday night: flooding, power outages, and looting. “All of our resources have been stretched to the limit,” Markowitz said. “In the name of public safety we need to send more National Guard personnel into Coney Island, Manhattan Beach, Gerritsen Beach, Red Hook, and any other locations.” Markowitz hopes that the sight of an armed soldier would deter criminal activity in the still-unaccessible evacuation zones – such as the rash of break-ins that took place in Coney Island hours after Sandy kissed the borough goodbye – but the Mayor said the NYPD was more than capable of handling the job

My heart goes out to all the people who are suffering and feel so alone at such a terrible time. See what happens when you rely on the government to take care of you ? You either get ignored or they get around to it when they are good and ready to. This should go viral and all the alphabet news media should be reporting on how terrible a job the Obama administration is handling this but of course it is Obama so they will give him a pass. Remember how much they were all over Bush when Katrina happened ? This is Obama’s Katrina.

When after Katrina 3 days passed without what the media considered “enough” aid to New Orleans, journalists, Hollywood celebrities and Democrats declared that President George Bush didn’t like black people.

We are now 4 days into Sandy and it is apparent that George Bush doesn’t like white people either.

I mean, what else could it be?

  • politicaljules

Did you hear that Bloomberg denied the National Guard access because he did not want anyone on the streets with guns except the NYPD? Liberal Logic fails me.
