Senator Kelly Ayotte: “I’m More Troubled Now” After Meeting with Ambassador Rice (Video)

Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) spoke with reporters after she met with Ambassador Susan Rice this morning. Ayotte said she’s more troubled today after the meeting than she was before they met.

“I’m more troubled today… It’s certainly clear from the beginning that we knew that those with ties to Al-Qaeda were involved in the attack on the embassy. And, clearly the impression that was given, the information given to the American people was wrong and in fact Ambassador Rice said today that Absolutely it was wrong… They have not cleared this up with the American people to date.”

Senator Lindsey Graham added this after the meeting, “The bottom line is that I’m more disturbed than I was before … about how four Americans died in Benghazi, Libya,”

Rice was responsible for the slaughter in Rwanda under Clinton. She is a terrible liar and lying for the boss is no way to be unless you want SoS job, then by all means lie to the American people.

  • Simsalabim

Rice is married to ABC News producer Ian Cameron.

There is absolutely no liberal bias in the media! None! Nada!

  • moron

Will Senator Ayotte be classified as racist/sexist or simple racist for these obvious attacks on a black woman?

  • ★FALCON★

Besides Rice’s obvious lying and obfuscation – we need to know why General Carter Ham was relieved of duty. It appears someone told him to stand down and he told them to go to hell.

To me – that’s the lynch pin of the end of Obama’s usurpation.

“in fact Ambassador Rice said today that Absolutely it was wrong…”

Wait a minute! What did she say just the other day?

From this website ““When discussing the attacks against our facilities in Benghazi I relied solely and squarely on the information provided to me by the intelligence community,” Rice told reporters at the United Nations.

“I made clear that the information provided to me was preliminary and that our investigations would give us the definitive answers,” said Rice, who is seen as a possible nominee to replace U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.”

Only pathological liars can change their lies day to day and feel no moral issue.

  • Patty

Other then a brick fallen on Media’s head isn’t this enough proof that Rice was incompetent and she needed to get more facts before responding on something so important. And when you are Secretary of State on in any high leadership isn’t it important not to second guess and get the talking point accurate or just don’t come out to America at all until ALL INVESTIGATIONS ARE DONE.

But this administration has never had experience to lead and when it tries too it does greater harm then good. Secretary Clinton is also at fault and if this is cover for a run for president she too is incompetent. COVER UP IS ONE THING BUT TO DO IT FOR OBAMA RE-ELECTION?

Shameful what the families of the 4 dead Americans are going through. And this would not have happened if Obama could lead.

  • Patty

I realize that she is not S of S and God help us if she ever would be but seriously, with all the players leaving this administration there are slim pickings.

Let’s look at Holder and Fast and Furious and his department who also knew this was a Terrorist Attack and on 9/11. And all the different branches investigating the Benghazi attack. In my opinion all departments should have be clear before comments on Benghazi. Jumped the gun but protecting Obama and Al Qaeda comment, ON THE RUN AND OBL IS DEAD. War of Terror, to them there is no War while MIDDLE EAST HAS BECOME MORE DANGEROUS AND WE ARE to believe that everything is just fine?

I am being sarcastic but Rice couldn’t be any worse then Holder or all the other nominees of Obama’s. He really doesn’t know how to lead and this is why he is leading from behind. INCOMPETENT.

  • Patty

Said McCain: “We are significantly troubled by many of the answers that we got and some that we didn’t get, concerning evidence that was overwhelming leading up to the attack on our consulate, [and] the tragic deaths of four brave Americans.”

McCain said the degree to which Rice was prepped for her Sept. 16 comments was not clear, but what was clear was the fact that “the information she gave the American people was incorrect,” when she described the Benghazi attack “as a spontaneous demonstration triggered by a hateful video.” Added McCain: “There was strong evidence at the time that this was not correct.”

Said Ayotte: “I can say I am more troubled today…having met with Ambassador Rice. Because it’s certainly clear from the beginning we knew those with ties to Al Qaeda were involved in the attack on the embassy…and that the information that was given to the American people was wrong.”

Ayotte said Ambassador Rice was wrong, the CIA was wrong, and the President was wrong. And she added that neither the CIA nor the President have come out to admit they were wrong or set the record the straight.

Said Graham: “I’m more disturbed now than I was before. [Ambassador Rice’s Sept. 16 statement] was a statement disconnected from reality.”

He said he was perplexed because just “a little bit of inquiry and curiosity” would have shown that Al Qaeda was behind the attack from the start: “The American people got bad information on Sept 16 [from Ambassador Rice] and they got bad information from President Obama.”

Graham says the scenario given by Rice and Obama was “unjustified” three weeks before an election. He says it would have been better had they said nothing at all.

  • Patty

“The American people got bad information on Sept 16 [from Ambassador Rice] and they got bad information from President Obama.”

Obama should have been impeached but the American Voters who have no clue and not informed just voted once again for more of the same incompetence, lies, lack of leadership ability, cover ups, deceitful, dishonest, have I covered all the adjectives yet? No, but we have another 4 more years.

    Thank Voters (sarc)

  • Big Al

If I were Sen Ayotte I would be more worried about McCain and Graham leaving me high and dry. Both of them are already folding like cheap suits.

  • Bronson

Uh this is pretty simple. Rice purposely lied to the American People and now she is trying to be rewarded as Sec of State for doing Obama’s dirty work.

She needs tp be opposed and blocked. If she isn’t opposed and gets through, I will turn my back on the Republican Party forever. They didn’t oppose Kagan. They didn’t oppose the Wise Latina. Now they are allowing more implications and straight up accusations of racism cow them into submission like cowards.

If we don’t stand up to race politics in general then forget it. We need a new country and culture.

  • jharp

More troubled because of Ambassador Rice’s handling it exactly as she should have?

Republican’s still haven’t hit bottom. The first step in recovery is admitting your problem.

Until you fools admit that it’s only going to get worse. Far worse.

If the GOP won’t play hardball and block ALL cabinet appointments, let the country go over the fiscal cliff and won’t block any more debt ceiling increases until Obameecare is REPEALED for STARTERS, then I’m through with the Republicans.

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

Okay fine, so after this meeting you’re still not satisfied with how the situation was handled. Don’t stop now – keep on poking around and uncovering details and facts until all the questions you have are answered.

Knowing Republicans, this whole thing will probably peter out over time and it’ll become nothing more than a footnote to the 2012 election.

  • jharp

“There were two attacks in Benghazi that night. The first was a spontaneous response to the anti-Islamic film that had caused similar protests in Cairo and elsewhere. That is important: there would have been no terrorist attack if the film hadn’t provided the opportunity for mayhem. Most of the protesters were members of local salafist militias, who quickly realized that the security at the consulate was nearly nonexistent. They organized a second attack with heavier weapons, including mortars.”

    1. the attack was a spontaneous reaction to the film

    2. it was followed by an organized attack.

    3. both attacks were populated and organized by terrorist militias, with loose ties to Al-Qaeda.

Tell me again what Ambassador Rice was wrong about.

  • Why didn’t they press for all of this exposure BEFORE the election? It would have MADE A DIFFERENCE. Now, it is too late. Does ANYONE think impeachment or even criminal charges against ANYBODY higher than an apprentice toilet cleaner will ever result?

The ones that aren’t outright RINOs are TORTOISEs. Justice DELAYED is justice DENIED…and THEY allowed it to happen.

Did the Obama admin ever explain why they didn’t send help during the 7-hour attack on the consulate and annex?

Tell me how Joe Klein is any kind of authority figure or expert regarding Benghazi.

The answer is easy – he’s a “journalist” of the leftist persuasion. They dispense nothing but the truth, don’tcha know…

  • MT Geoff

    Howdy jharp
As I understand (most of) the Obama administration’s statements, there was not actually a protest at the consulate in Benghazi and there was never any information from the scene that said there was a protest. The attack may have occurred in two phases but it was always an attack and that’s how it was reported from the scene.
Ambassador Rice went out on Sept 16th with the story she was told to use. Either her President sent her out with false information and she didn’t know it, or he sent her out with false information and she did know it. In either case, she should have resigned already as a matter of principle.
The lying campaign is the least important element in the Benghazi incident. First is the failure to secure the consulate in the face of a growing threat. Second is the failure to defend it properly when it was attacked. Now it may have been impossible to field forces to defend, but that case hasn’t been made.

  • Marmo

jharp, here is the timeline of events in Benghazi.

Watch: Sick Bastard Joe Klein Blames Amb. Stevens For His Own Death, Lies, Says Stevens Didn’t Want More Security

Ambassador Stevens was terrified for his own safety, and repeatedly begged for more security for which he was denied by Obama. In the face of what everybody knows, Joe Klein here says Stevens didn’t want more security. He also absurdly says that Susan Rice’s story that the attack started out as a protest against the Mohammed movie was the truth, “accurate”. Joe Klein is very scared of this Benghazi story, as you can see for yourself below, which should serve as an indication of how powerfully destructive to Obama he believes the truth of it to be. Which is why he is sweating in public and working overtime to kill the truth. Unfortunately for him, with his passionate defense of a story which even Obama himself now disavows, Joe has lost all credibility, defined himself as nothing more than an Obama shill willing to lie in any capacity and in any regard, even if it means defiling the noble dead.

  • Patty

Jay Carney told the White House press pool that the focus on Ambassador Rice is “misplaced” when investigating Benghazi. Carney said that “there are no unanswered questions” when it concerns Ambassador Rice, what she knew, and who gave her the information that was the basis of her comments on the Sunday shows the weekend after the attack on the US consulate in Libya.

Obama has made a big mess for himself and this isn’t going away, THIS WE PRAY.

Obama Continues to Avoid Meeting Congress in the Flesh

by Keith Koffler on November 27, 2012, 9:37 am

President Obama will apparently continue to avoid human contact with Capitol Hill to a far greater degree than his predecessors, viewing phone calls and speeches to those outside Washington as better ways to press his positions.

While both George W. Bush and Bill Clinton relished schmoozing with their Congressional counterparts and met regularly with leaders of Congress – as well as backbenchers – from both Parties, Obama rarely gets together even with top Democrats.

When both Bush and Clinton were in the Oval Office, lawmakers could regularly be seen streaming up the West Wing driveway to meet them. Not so for Obama.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney Monday suggested the practice would continue:

I think that the reality of modern-day Washington is a little different than it was in 1801, to use a timely example. And so the notion that you can solve all problems over a cocktail I think is a little overrated . . . I know there’s a school of thought that imagines that meetings are the sole way to accomplish a deal.

Obama has met only once with Republican leaders since being reelected three weeks ago and has no public plans for specific future gatherings, even as desperate talks to avoid the “fiscal cliff” continue.

Meanwhile, he’s been golfing twice since the election.

Obama barely met with Congressional leaders at all for much of 2012, preferring to concentrate on getting reelected instead of trying to avoid a last minute crunch to avoid the fiscal cliff’s massive spending cuts.

Carney said Obama spoke by phone over the weekend with House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and added that the president does anticipate further meetings “at the appropriate time.”

EXPOSED: The Real Tea Party Platform

Yes, the fabric of our society has unraveled to the point at which the following principles are reviled as “extreme” and “right wing” by antique media and the punditry class:

Thousands of years of civilization have taught us the paramount importance and wisdom of individual sovereignty, private property, self-reliance and limited government. These are the precious gifts our country’s founders bequeathed to us.

Now, in Washington, we have corrupt and craven politicians who stress the sovereignty of government, collectivism, reliance on handouts and the need for an unconstrained government.

But we Constitutional Conservatives are the extreme ones, right?

  • mark1973

Yep, Ayotte and Graham,”Pretend” your upset with Rice and Obama and drag this out untill the Christmas recess, all with the hopes of people losing interest in Benghazi by the time you clowns return after Your Christmas vacation. Kind of what Boehner and Issa did with,’Fast and Furious’,with their ‘Good Cop Bad Cop’ routine. By the way, anybody heard anything more on ‘Fast and Furious’,where over 300 mexican citizen’s and two American Border Patrol agents were murdered, all in a pre-meditated plan,so Obama could use these death’s from Firearms, that were originally sold from American Firearms stores, as an excuse to take away our God Given Second Ammendment Right’s,so the Establishment of both Parties could enslave and eventually Murder us?

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

Kind of what Boehner and Issa did with,’Fast and Furious’,..
