the shocking thing is alot of people do this when there ISN”T a natural disaster.

  • Look-Out

An outrage they’re passing out hot chocolate and cookies, NOT BLANKETS or CLOTHES. And that pathetic response took DAYS.

You can TRUST THE SALVATION ARMY. And Mitt Romney. He had people donating food IMMEDIATELY.

Let’s see what the trolls at MSNBC have to say about this. They critcized Romney for trying to help with donations and getting food and water for those affected by the storm but you sure don’t see any of these lemmings out there trying to help these people. And where is the Red Cross anyway ? Gas at $6.00 a gallon ? That is price gouging and just plain criminal and those who are doing that should be charged with a crime. Where is Bloomberg in all this ? Oh yeah…too busy getting generators for the big Marathon but turning his back on his own people. Keep voting Democrat, New York. You get what you vote for.

  • Glenn

Chris Christie will go over there and stop this. That’s his food.

Look-out: You are are right about the Red Cross. They are a money grubbing organization that cares about their own salaries 1st and fortemost. As far as NYC, well, they voted for what they got and got what they voted for. Buncha Progressive finding out what Progressivism is all about.

  • Big Red

Waiting for them to start complaining about why Big Government isn’t feeding them.

(Ahem) Do! Re! Mi! Fa! So! La! Ti! Do!

Ok, I’m ready: WE TOLD YOU SO!!!!

  • robotech master

Remember people… having more then a few days supply of food makes you a rightwing terrorist.

Also remember the government will always be there to help should any problems come up…

  • Miss Peach

    # 6 – Thank you Granny. God bless the Salvation Army !

  • LLiberty

what an amazing four years this has been…

  • Miss Peach

Hmmm…wonder if this might be a good reason for Obama to declare martial law and stall the elections if this gets too violent ?

  • The horrors happening in NJ and NY are unheard of for here in the United States of America. Roving bands of criminals, calling themselves ‘wolves’, people barricading themselves in their homes for safety, red cross has not even been to many areas, areas that have no power, no food, no water… but of course, the marathon must go on. Outsiders being turned away from coming in to help, because they are not union. This is not the America I know and love. While part of me wants to SCREAM “you voted for this socialistic nanny state, now lay in the bed you made!”, a larger part of me whispers “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Matthew 24:12) and Mark 12:34 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. As well as: Mat 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” … *sigh* We are reminded multiple times throughout Gods Word to “harden not our hearts” and IMO, as we struggle with this world of sin in which we live in, it is one of the very hardest things to do.

  • Greg

Romney sent bus loads of food.

    Red Cross wants cash.

Ask the people what they want?

    Romney wins!

  • Look-Out

    Thanks, Granny, great post.

Miss Peach, #12! “A crisis too good to waste”..? Only TeamO would watch this with perverted joy.

  • Big Red

    “Red Cross wants cash.”

That tells me all I need to know about these people. I guess you can’t pocket blankets and canned goods.

  • Miss Peach

    # 15… That is what I am afraid of Look-Out. Makes me wonder if help is deliberately being withheld so people will start to riot and create havoc enough to give Obama the ammunition he needs to declare martial law. Rules of Alinsky. And # 13 – TeachX3 – you are right, a part of me also wants to say , ” you get what you vote for, ” but the Christian part of me says that this country was founded under God and we are to help one another in times of crisis. The fact that people are trying to help but are being turned away because they are not Union is despicable and really shows the Unions for what they are and what they have become. I am hoping the Churches are doing their part in getting food and water and other supplies to these people. As for the rest of us who cannot be there to help, I think a donation to the Salvation Army would be most helpful. We are a strong country and we can get through this. God Bless America.

Bloomberg is probably busy endorsing other Democrat candidates to notice.

  • Pleasance

Don’t forget that the NYC Marathon is going ahead. Generators that could get electricity and heat to people in buildings, police and firemen who could be doing rescue and recovery, sanitation who could be cleaning up and rescuing, all diverted for a bunch of running idiots.

Oh, Salvation Army providing blankets, food, and water while Red Cross is providing hot chocolate and cookies! At least the hot chocolate and cookies are free, not like during WWII when soldiers had to pay.

  • Al

“Obamy, you’re doing a heck of a job.”

  • Al

I’m actually afraid this will happen everywhere after the election, no matter who “wins”.

  • Maria

The lib media accused Romney for holding a rally for people to donate food, for political purposes. Yet you have FEMA and the Red Cross that have not shown up to parts to NYC to support those who need food or water. MSNBC wanted people to donate money, not food. What are people asking for, food and water.

  • even steven

Here is an example of why I live in a rural area. I’m surrounded by food (both farm raised and wild game). I have a wood stove and can heat my house when the power is out. I can also cook on it and boil water. When the power went out for days in 2010 due to an ice storm, I enjoyed a couple days off work in my toasty warm living room and read by the light of my Coleman lanterns. I certainly didn’t freak out and scream for anyone to take care of me.

  • Sasja

The election will contine no matter what. Contrary to Bammy’s past behavior, he cannot stop

  • Sasja

It may behoove us to look into the Red Cross and how they distribute donated blood. I would not be surprised to learn they end up selling it to various hospitals and clinics.

  • Arkie

Thank you Granny and TeachX3 for making it easy to give by providing the link and also reminding us why we should.

  • Rainmom

Doesn’t the U.S. military have special ships (like the Mercy) that can get supplies, fresh water,
generators, medical care into New York Harbor to help out? They had plenty of warning
about this storm, but maybe it wasn’t/isn’t feasible to get that sort of help?

They do but doubtful it will make it back in time. Normally its on other side of the world wasting our tax money on people even demanding and entitled.

  • Poly Ester

even steven – must have been the same ice storm we endured. The power was off 4 days. Those same Alabama crews being turned away in NJ had us back up long before the 10 days we were told. All the neighbors drug out our grills and cooked what we had thawing out in our freezers. We had great fun. We had several days notice so we stocked up and got the wood in and all the clothes washed and we didn’t wait around for somebody to bring chain saws to remove debris. These people in the NE, like those people on the Gulf, had plenty of warning these hurricanes were coming. They could have gone to shelters or stocked in provisions. They chose not to. I have a hard time feeling sorry for them. Country folks will survive. City folks – not so much.

  • MN Jim

I’m waiting to see if the media will personally blame obama for this disaster, like they are still blaming Katrina on President Bush.

  • US Navy Corpseman

Optics on this fiasco created by Bloomberg not good – using 3 generators for power for press that could light 1200 homes without power. Also giving out bottles of water in front of homes with no utilities.

Worst of all, power crews from Alabama drove in their trucks up to NYC to help restore electricity — turned away because they were NON-UNION!!

You can’t make up this lunacy .

  • Buffalobob

Bloomie endorses obama because he believes in global warming and the sea level rising. What did Bloomie do in the past 8 years as Mayor of NYC to mitigate the destruction caused by rising sea levels? Well actually he did do something, he attended parties and events with fellow progs and expresses his concern.

  • Joanne

This is so sad. The U.S. can rebuild a nation – Iraq and do their best with Afghanistan, but a disaster with her own people and there is no master plan to deal with their basic needs. It is hard to believe that Obama’s idea of a master plan to deal with Americans is the ordering of hundreds of thousands of hollow point bullets and sniper bullets.
