CONFIRMED: US Was Holding Prisoners at Benghazi Annex (Video)

Jennifer Griffin at FOX News today confirmed that the US was holding prisoners at the Benghazi annex near the consulate compound. US agents handed three prisoners over to Libyan authorities on their way out of the city on September 12. The prisoners may have been held in the compound for several days.

Paula Broadwell leaked information on the US annex prisoners in a speech she gave at Denver University in October.

Barack Obama reportedly ended the CIA secret prisons his first year in office.
Guess not?

The CIA denied the claims that the US was holding Libyan militants at the annex.

Sounds like Petraeus’ resignation wasn’t so much because of the affair (in and of itself). Rather his resignation came as a result of her loose lips (and various other parts) having revealed the secret prison info with the potential to sink this administrations ship. The irony of CIA incompetence triggering top/down CYA would be amusing were it not so deadly.

The truth is the truth, and it shouldn’t matter who it hurts. The media used to be a little more inclined to report the truth, until they realized “Why hurt our side, when we don’t have to? We can just keep it to ourselves”

  • Buzzy

Jennifer Griffin and Catherine Heriage (sp) have both been reporting on the Bengazi massacre since the beginning. I am guessing that it was one of them that reported back in Oct. that 3 Libyan attackers were captured the night of the attack. They were released that night. The US did not know what happened to the 3 that were released.

It is my guess that the guy taking claim for killing the Ambassador, who is now in Egypt, was one of those captured, and then released.

I guess you could technically say the three were being held as prisoners, for a few hours, but that in no way means the annex was a prison operating in secret as it seems is being portrayed.

  • Yrral Dleifsarb

If this aspect of the story is true, it begins to illuminate the traitor Zero’s motives. The prisoners were to be surreptitiously “surrendered” to enemies of the U.S., people for whom such aid fits the definition of treason. I have to wonder what the quid pro quo was to be.

bet no one has ever heard about any of the following:

Obama Administration Stacking The Deck With Islamists

[Abdul-Malik also makes no bones about discussing how the election of President Obama is a step forward in the project of Islamization and the long term goal of Islamist domination which falls right in lock-step with that of the Muslim Brotherhood as revealed in their manifesto.]

    Jasser, Lopez, Fatah

[Islamist-allied operatives appointed by Obama are undermining U.S. security policy – explains counter-Intelligence expert, Prof. Clare Lopez. Aimed at co-opting Americas foreign policy in the Middle East, a network including well-known American diplomats, congressional representatives, figures from academia and the think tank world – with ties to the clerical regime in Tehran – is directing the Obama Administration’s policy towards the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Middle East.]

[Today, in the White House, there are three members of the Muslim Brotherhood that influence Obama’s policy. One is Rashad Hassan of Indian origin, who is the American ambassador to the 52-nation organization of Islamic countries. Dahlia Mujahid who writes his speech, who comes from the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Just day before yesterday, another woman, an academic, was appointed in that circle. This is happening while we sit silent, and I say that as a liberal democrat, as someone who worked and campaigned for Barrack Obama.]

Producer Of Anti-Islam Film Was Fed Snitch

[However, Clinton’s attempt to distance the U.S. from “Innocence
of Muslims” –and, by extension, its felonious producer –may be
complicated by the revelation that Nakoula Basseley Nakoula
became a government informant after his 2009 arrest for bank
fraud, The Smoking Gun has learned.]

    Muslim Brotherhood ‘infiltrated’ U.S. gov’t

[The Muslim Brotherhood is a radical Islamist organization that has
successfully penetrated both political parties and the delicate areas
    of defense and national security.

Retired U.S. Army Lt. Gen. William “Jerry” Boykin, executive vice president of the Family Research Council, told WND’s Greg Corombos that people with connections to the Muslim Brotherhood are in vital positions within every significant area of the U.S. government. He specifically cited high security clearances for such people in the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security.

He said neither Republicans nor Democrats want to protest
too loudly over concerns of being branded intolerant.

Boykin said Republicans proved their weakness on the issue by roundly condemning Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., for sounding the alarm on this issue and specifically wondering about the Brotherhood ties of Huma Abedin, a top assistant to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

He also slammed the sequestration plan that has the military on course for an additional $500 billion in cuts over the next decade, saying that will weaken every branch of the service and that a naive rationale is behind it all.]

Petraeus announced his resignation citing an extramarital affair. Really?

Could it be that the general, who has sacrificed so many of our troops for the appeasement of Islamic fascists, wanted to guarantee his retirement benefits?

Rep. Peter King, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman, charged in an interview with CNN that Petraeus is “at the center of this, and there are answers that only he has.”

King was of course referring to the Benghazi attacks. Asked if he will still call for Petraeus testify despite his resignation, Rep. King replied, “Absolutely, to me, he’s an absolutely necessary witness.”

The Benghazi compound has been repeatedly referred to as a consulate by US government officials and the US media. However, according to informed Middle East security officials, the compound was not a consulate and at no point functioned as one.

The Arab security officials hold that the compound in Benghazi served as a meeting place to coordinate aid for rebel-led insurgencies in Syria. They maintain that the compound fostered the recruitment of jihadists to target Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.

The questions that must be answered:

    1. Was the US Benghazi compound used to coordinate US aid to insurgent rebel groups that include jihadists representing al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood?

    2. Was the US Government in fact arming our enemies in the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda?

    3. Does the Obama Administration support the best interest of this country or is it supporting our enemies?

Petraeus Went on Benghazi Fact-Finding Mission Just Before Election

[“It turns out that Petraeus a week and a half ago went to Tripoli, Libya, and conducted his own personal inquiry into Benghazi, interviewed the station chief, actually got the base chief from Benghazi down, interviewed him,” Woodward said. “Interviewed the head I think twice of the quick reaction force that was involved in this episode.”

“So he knows the full story. He has a lot of credibility with Republicans, who as we know are on fire about Benghazi. And now the acting CIA Director, Mike Morrell, is going to have to present that evidence.”]

also a bit taken aback as to how so many can’t seem to swallow the
kooliad fast enough before any facts are in, well other than knowing
the President and his SOS sidekick watched what went down live..

  • west point spirit

The White House is already preparing to accuse Petraeus of running illegal CIA prisons without the President’s knowledge. Realistically, they have no choice. If they can’t pin it on Petraeus, then we either have a President impeached for gross incompetence and dereliction of duty, or a President impeached for lying. The only way out now is to pin it all on Petraeus.

General, the people and your former soldiers are calling on you to honor the code you upheld. As one of the Long Gray Line, particularly one graduating in the top of your class, you know you’ve dishonored a tradition much, much greater than yourself. It is your obligation to come forward now and let the people know what your Commander in Chief is guilty of, regardless of political or personal consequence.

It is sad to read that people have given up, and I don’t blame them. I believe all the conservatives who voted should be demanding recounts everywhere there is a discrepancy in the voting numbers. The democrats would be doing it if they believed the republicans had stolen the election, but for some reason the conservatives just don’t have it in them to put up a big deal. It is said that people get the government they deserve, so maybe the conservatives should start taking the blame for the government they are having forced down their throats…..and do something about it.

Petraeus is Worst Disgrace Since Bill Clinton

I worked in the White House staffer during the first Bush administration. I remember that the president was so mindful of being above reproach when it came to interactions with female staff, he often wouldn’t even make direct eye contact with them.

He was an upright man, who took seriously his wedding vows to honor his wife and “forsake all others.” He took to heart the words of the Apostle Paul, who warned those of us who endeavor to lead righteous lives to “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

David Petraeus obviously did not heed the Apostle’s counsel. Otherwise, he would not have resigned this past Friday as President Obama’s CIA Director, following the revelation of his adulterous affair with Paula Broadwell, the home-wrecker who co-authored his biography, “All In: The Education of Gen. David Petraeus.”

The retired four-star Army general, who met Broadwell when she was an Army Reserve officer, has disgraced himself like no high-ranking federal official since former President Bill Clinton (who not only made direct eye contact with female White House staffers, but also even more promiscuous contact with a certain White House intern).

Now I know that roughly one in five men have committed adultery at least once in their married lives, according to surveys.

I also imagine that at least half of married men have, at some point, been some place, like a “gentlemen’s club,” or done some thing, like have an “erotic massage,” that may not rise to the level of adultery, but certainly dishonors their wives.

White House Seeking to Organize Americans on Obama’s Behalf

The White House is pulling a tactic out of its campaign playbook – and President Obama’s own community organizing past – using the organs of government to enlist average Americans to help Obama advocate for his priorities.

In an email sent to people who signed up to receive official updates from the White House, recipients are told to forward the message to their friends, asking them to help promote what is in effect White House propaganda. The White House email list, which government officials began compiling earlier in Obama’s term, is separate from the famed Obama campaign email list, but recipients are nonetheless being asked to engage in partisan political activity.

The email, sent out Friday, presents a video of Obama in the East Room earlier the same day making his case as negotiations with Republicans are set to begin on the budget stalemate that could lead to massive spending cuts known as “the fiscal cliff.”

    The unsigned missive asserts:

Now you have a choice to make. This debate can either stay trapped in Washington DC, or you can make sure your friends and neighbors participate. You’ve shown that getting people outside of Washington involved shifts the conversation in favor of the middle-class priorities.

As the President just said, let’s get to work.

Now that the information is coming out, the cat is out of the bag. Many questions need to be answered and many unknown factors can be identified. I am wondering if there was actual prisoners held at any of the facilities and no one was made aware of this was this the real reasons for the terrorist attack, deaths that took place ? Was there other cause why Steven’s was molested ? Did he or was he part of any abuse perpetrated on any of the hostages while he over saw any of them ? Did he have any sexual relationship with any of the hostages ? Did this information get out, was filtered out from any of the hostages that Stevens was committing acts on and in return did the unthinkable to him ? I am not claiming at all that any of these scenarios occurred. I am just thinking out loud and wondering why they would do such heinous acts against Steven’s.

  • lizzy84

Interesting, considering the fact that oBama signed an EO in 2009 banning secret CIA interrogation prisons overseas..

So was the Butcher of Benghazi aware of these, breaching his own EO to placate his base while giving the CIA the nod to “carry on” as usual or was the CIA operating outside of his knowledge? Either way, the blood of four murdered Americans is still on his and hillary’s hands and the truth of why they were left to die, much bigger than the sex scandal.

FBI Agent in Petraeus Case Under Scrutiny

FBI officials declined to identify the agent, who is now under investigation by the Office of Professional Responsibility, the internal-affairs arm of the FBI, according to two officials familiar with the matter.

The revelations address how the investigation first began and ultimately led to Mr. Petraeus’s downfall as director of the CIA. The new developments also raise questions about the role played by the FBI and the adequacy of notification to administration and congressional leaders about the scandal.

The FBI agent who started the case was a friend of Jill Kelley, the Tampa woman who received harassing, anonymous emails that led to the probe, according to officials. Ms. Kelley, a volunteer who organizes social events for military personnel in the Tampa area, complained in May about the emails to a friend who is an FBI agent. That agent referred it to a cyber crimes unit, which opened an investigation.

However, supervisors soon became concerned that the initial agent might have grown obsessed with the matter, and prohibited him from any role in the investigation, according to the officials.

The FBI officials found that he had sent shirtless pictures of himself to Ms. Kelley, according to the people familiar with the probe.[…………………..]

only a disgrace, but have clue as to why.. 🙁

  • Patty

The Obama regime’s star witness on Benghazi would be better tagged as an alleged mistress than a “military expert”.

Speaking to her alma mater, the University of Denver, on October 26, the author of the book All In: The Education of General David Petraeus, published January 2012, Paula Broadwell, acknowledged that “there was a failure in the system”. (Israel National News, Nov., 11, 2012)

But ‘The Spy Who Came Into The (Obama regime) Fold’ got her number of Benghazi deaths wrong…”As a former intel officer it’s frustrating to me because it reveals our sources and methods, I don’t think the public necessarily needs to know all of that. It is a tragedy that we lost an ambassador and two other government officials, and (…) there was a failure in the system because there was additional security requested, but it’s frustrating to see the sort of political aspect of what’s going on with this whole investigation.”

There were, of course, three other and not “two other” government officials who lost their lives in Benghazi.

Was Broadwell unintentionally writing off the death of State Department computer expert Sean Smith?

And if she got the number of Benghazi deaths wrong from the get-to, what else did she get wrong?

It is was Broadwell’s alleged improper involvement with resigned CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus that cancelled out his testimony at the Congressional hearings on Benghazi.

Now that she’s doing all the talking, the chain of events has already moved from Ambassador Chris Stevens requesting and being denied help to “the ground forces there at the CIA annex” who were requesting reinforcements.

While there is no proof, Broadwell also claims that the CIA annex had actually taken a couple of Libyan militia members prisoner, and they think that the attack on the consulate was an attempt to get these prisoners back. It’s still being vetted.

Readers of Canada Free Press (CFP) were given specific insight and clarification of this statement in an article dated October 29, 2012 written by Doug Hagmann under the title Obama’s October surprise – exposed by Benghazi? According to an intelligence source interviewed by Mr. Hagmann, there was indeed a “kidnapping” in Benghazi, but not of Libyan militia members. As fully documented by international press reports, seven members of the Iranian Red Crescent were grabbed on July 31, 2012. The Iranian Red Crescent members were snatched while in the vicinity of the CIA operations center in Benghazi after a mortar round was fired into the compound.

According to Hagmann, his intelligence source stressed the importance of not only this “snatch and grab” operation, but the timing of their release. It is not about a secret prison in Libya, but about the nation-state actors involved in the September 11, 2012 attack. These were Iranians who were taken captive, and they were milling about to inspect the CIA compound for a future attack.

    Cont. on my next post.

  • Patty

It is extremely important to understand the context and timing of their release as it directly relates to the talks between Valerie Jarrett and top Iranian officials in Qatar. The talks were being secretly conducted to hammer out an “October surprise” by Obama that would announce an agreement between Iran and the U.S. that would suspend Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Exposing this single fact helps people to understand the global implications of the attack in Benghazi, identify the nation-state actors and what this attack was all about. Furthermore, it explains the reason that the Obama regime had stuck to the nonsensical story about an obscure video as the reason for the attack.

This is the chain of events leading to no Gen. Petraeus as a witness at upcoming Benghazi hearings.

In August of this year, Broadwell was promoted to the rank of Lt. Col. in the USA Army Reserve.

Gen. Petraeus, allegedly having been caught red handed in an extra-marital affair with his biographer, does the honorable thing by stepping down. The FBI reportedly had the information about the affair in September.

Broadwell, who is allegedly Part Two of the ‘Affair of the Century’, keeps her promotion and becomes a self-proclaimed ‘military expert’ mouthpiece in the Benghazi affair.

Broadwell is also now accused of sending threatening and harassing emails to Jill Kelley, a social liaison to MacDill Air Force base in Tampa.

The link to the Broadwell story on the Drudge Report today should have Americans, who care about the Benghazi coverup, asking two important questions: Is Paula Broadwell a credible witness or is she merely an Obama Regime ‘Spy Who Was Brought Into the Fold?

Paula Broadwell wasn’t the only persons to know this. But I think the American public owes her a debt of gratitude for being honest and frank enough to tell the truth. She may not have gotten this information from Petraeus she has other friends and she was an intelligence officer for 15 years. Paula Broadwell has done more to move this investigation forward than any other sources. We the American public should thank her not trash talk her. She is quite intelligent on her own and could have figured it out from her own years of work in intelligence. She also preferenced her remarks and never said it was a fact.

So I lied! You should be used to it by now.

    You may be thinking:

“This 0bama guy is a blatant liar.”

“I can’t trust anything he says.”

“0bama got our Ambassador killed and then folded like wet douche bag”

“0bama caved into to the demands of terrorists!”

    “0bama made things much worse!”

    “0bama should be in jail!”

That may be true. But, I am trying to lose this war as fast as possible!

Now, with my Media crony’s wall-to-wall coverup and four more years – I should come out clean. I am sure Eric Holder would agree.

My limousine is running and David Axelrod has a new scam to try on my supporters. I can’t give you the details but it basically promising them the moon for more taxpayer money. I cannot say any more. Good day.

Things are starting to fall into place.

Now we know why Berry cant saying it was a terriost attack (well, almost said it was a terriost attack). He ALMOST said so in a CBS interview the day of the attack.

Did CBS hold back that video n the white hosue asking?
Did everyone say it was a video-because they know if it come out they were holding prsioner there. The liberal base would go BONKERS and not vote for him?
Now we know why he went to the UN and said FIVE times it was the video!!
Now we know way the CIA just let everyone use them as the whipping boy!

Got to hand it to the boys in the white house. THey know they had to keep that info under wras. Than than CIA director main squeeze said he still hold prisoner outside the USA!!

This just got so MANY levels!

And on top of all of that. I bet berry did not even care enough to do anything. I bet he was told about it and like all hard things in his life. He just turns and walks aways from it. I bet hillary told him no also. Can anyone say black hawk down 2??

  • Hi there, just wanted to mention, I enjoyed this blog post.
