It took the FBI several days to reach Benghazi and investigate the 9-11 terrorist attacks that left four Americans dead.

Terrorists murdered the US Ambassador and three others on the anniversary of 9-11.

The FBI reportedly spent only a few hours investigating at the consulate after the attack.
Several sensitive documents were left behind.
Foreign Policy reported:

More than six weeks after the shocking assault on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi — and nearly a month after an FBI team arrived to collect evidence about the attack – the battle-scarred, fire-damaged compound where Ambassador Chris Stevens and another Foreign Service officer lost their lives on Sept. 11 still holds sensitive documents and other relics of that traumatic final day

…The continued threat to U.S. personnel in Benghazi may be the reason these documents escaped the FBI’s attention. With suspected militants still roaming the streets, FBI investigators only had limited time to check the consulate compound. According to a Benghazi resident who resides near the consulate, the FBI team spent only three hours examining the compound.

The FBI declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation.

During their short visit, FBI agents apparently mapped the compound by gluing small pieces of yellow paper with different letters on it next to each room in the TOC building. Next to the room where the letters and most documents were found, a yellow paper marks it room “D.” Above the paper, somebody has carved a swastika in the blackened wall.

Villa C, which was used as Stevens’ residence during his stay in Benghazi, is located 50 meters from the TOC building. Here, an open window leads to the safe haven — a sealed-off part of Villa C where Stevens and Smith suffocated to death. On the destroyed bed lay the Aug. 6, 2012, copy of the New Yorker. The magazine’s cover carries a label with Stevens’s name and his diplomatic mailing address.

A few meters to the right is the safe haven’s bathroom. Everything here is blackened by smoke. One of the two white toilets is covered with bloodstains. On the mirror in the bathroom, an unknown person has written a macabre text in a thin layer of ash. “I am Chris from the dead,” it reads.

  1. Obama left them for dead and went to bed.
Thanks Progressive traitor party. Hope to see you all get what you deserve real soon.

  2. I said this the day the President said he was sending in the FBI. There was an agent leaning back at his desk, playing with paper clips and minding his own business when he heard that and shot straight up and said, “What the heck? Are you crazy?! We’re cops, NOT soldiers. You wouldn’t send in attack helicopters, jets or Delta because it was too dangerous and you want ME to go????? Are you out of your freaking mind?!”

Trust me, I know the guys. Some are very gung-ho and very well trained, but not most of them. Most of them like their “G-something rated government job. They like showing up, looking at paperwork, flashing their badges and saying in a gravely voice, “I’m with the FBI.” like a bad Batman imitation, but they DO NOT like getting shot at, abandoned or killed. Which is what happened to the last group of Americans in Benghazi. Imagine what they must have been thinking on the flight over there. Will the President abandon them if they come under attack by two Arab boy scout with slingshots and a pet goat?

Will that be “to uncertain” for anyone in Washington to act.

Of COURSE they only spent 3hrs on the ground. One to get to the place under militia guard, one to pick up what they can scoop in one sweep taking pictures as they go and securing the security tape, and one back to the airport while wiping the poop out of their drawers!

The leader of the attack sat in a hotel talking with the NYT reporter saying nobody was asking to interview him. Heck, he’d have to be the baggage handler at the airport for the FBI to stop long enough to say hi.

The FBI is tough in small corners, but not really built to fight wars with terrorists. They know it.

  3. Stevens was either a scarafice or was silenced no other way about it. Barry couldn’t let him back to the states for fear of talking…

  4. They couldn’t make a fly over, take a couple of pictures and call it a day. For the press, they actually had to be on scene, make a show of it and run back and hide under the desk they came from.

If it was an actual fact finding mission instead of a camera show, we wouldn’t have been there when the fighting was going down.

The only thing Liberals are good at is spending other people’s money.

  5. Libyans on Twitter the day the “investigators” were there marveled at an investigation that didn’t interview any eyewitnesses.

  6. FBI spent 3hrs gathering ‘evidence’ and a month later we still have no results of their ‘investigation’??

Military is better suited to examine scene of combat ( i.e. crater analysis to pinpoint location of mortars). FBI must have been in a hurry – missed the diary found by CNN film crew and all these cables and letters strewn all over the floor. Did they get fingerprints of blood on wall and toilet?? whose blood was that?? DNA sample matches??

This smells like using DC Park Police to investigate Vince Foster’s death instead of Secret Service or FBI.

  7. The reason the FBI only spent 3 hours there is because they knew Obama was in charge of saving their asses if al Qaeda struck them while they were in the compound. They got in and out quick, for a reason.

  8. I recall a report on day after attack that a 50 man Fast Response team of Marines was sent to Libya. And I think a Tarawa class assault ship was off shore. These assets could have secured perimeter around Consulate and permitted a thorough investigation.

Perhaps having military presence in Benghazi would have triggered a clash with muzzies and this wouldn’t fit Barry’s narrative that AQ was beaten and ‘on the run’.

  9. # 2 Carbon Pootprint commented:

“Obama left them for dead and went to bed.”

Because he had to go to Las Vegas the next day for a fundraiser.

I have no more words for this (or better said, no more nice words).
