“Two and a Half Men” star Angus T. Jones, a Christian, tells his fans to stop watching the show.
“Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth.”

FOX News reported:

Move over Charlie Sheen. Another “Two and a Half Men” controversy is exploding.

Angus T. Jones, who has played the role of Jake Harper on the hit CBS show since 2003 and reportedly earns $350,000 an episode, is featured in a new video for the Forerunner Christian Church, in which he calls the sitcom “filth” that contradicts his devout Christian values.

That’s not all. The 19-year-old actor even urges fans to stop watching.

“I’m on ‘Two and a Half Men’ and I don’t want to be on it,” he said. “If you watch ‘Two and a Half Men,’ please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment. Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, especially with what you watch.”

Jones goes on to express guilt that his profession may be inflicting serious damage on its audience.

“If I am doing any harm, I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to be contributing to the enemy’s plan … You cannot be a true God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can’t,” he continued. “I’m not OK with what I’m learning, what the Bible says and being on that television show.”

  1. Really? So when did he quit? Hypocrite.

  2. If he is just 19 and he is figuring this out and saying it, then we will see if he is a hypocrite.

In my opinion, he’s doing a good thing.

  3. The show is mindless entertainment for sure….and frankly sucks since Charlie left. At least, despite it’s useless mind numbing product, isn’t really political or a far left/Obammy suck up show…..so it’s not all bad.

  4. Ummm…not hypocrite. Getting out of contracts in Hollywood can be difficult. Getting out of contracts due to conservative Christian values can be fatal for a career. If viewership goes down the show is cancelled and he has no lawsuits to have to pay for that would ruin his finances.

  5. Maybe he has a contract he can’t break? I agree he should quit the show, but I don’t know how that works in Hollyweird. He may be risking his career. He may be hoping this revelation will get him fired. Maybe this is a newly-formed opinion and he needs time to plan his next move.

Good for him for speaking up! I agree the show is trash. I watched it many years ago but I’m happy to say my family hardly watches tv at all now.

  6. I can’t stop watching it. I would have to start, first, and I don’t see that happening.

  7. So when did he quit?

If he can’t due to a contract, he should at least donate his ill-gotten gain to charity.

  8. ++

    never watched it..

    good on him for leaving..

  9. He’s right, of course. The show is trash. It’s occasionally funny sexually suggestive PG-13 potty humor. On the bright side they don’t go all ‘a very special episode of Blossom’ either. Only watched it a few times before deciding it was one dimensional.

TV comedies in general are almost unwatchable since the introduction of the laugh track IMO. Hearing laughter at things that aren’t funny is creepy. The shows usually have an annoying rhythm that trains the viewer to respond with mindless patterned laughter. There are a few shows over the years that were entertaining but the current crop disappoints. Two and a half men is crude. Big Bang theory is whiny. I have friends who laugh at some of the jokes when I know they don’t even understand the random intellectual reference the joke is based upon. They laugh because it is time to laugh and the laugh track plays.

Hollywood in general has become far too vested in shaping public opinion in a negative manner. They are divisive. They have created distrust. They are brainwashing the dumb and those with a clue are starting to fight back.

  10. The show is only popular with older, Conservatives who seem to find it titillating. No one else cares about it except maybe some twelve-year old boys.

  11. “Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth.”

Good advice for essentially all of what is on TV, which is almost entirely Satanic.

  12. There’s nothing difficult about getting out of a contract. It just means losing some money. If this joker’s “faith” means less to him than the cash, then so much for his faith. Let him weep all the way to the bank.

  13. given his age and what have you he’s probably at the end of his contract. time for him to move on to college or whatever and replace him with another younger actor. the character’s name will come up in conversation every now and then. angus is probably dead angus in hollywood now.

  14. A suicidal career move . However, Society does appear to be reaching a Howard Beale ” Mad Prophet of the Airways ” moment in the wake of Obama’s re-election….> http://youtu.be/c5Gf0VKXk5Q

  15. So he earns millions of dollars total and turns around and asks people not to fill their minds with the filth he helped create and still profits from? Give me a break. What a moron. Seems a little effeminate in this video.

  16. he sure doesn’t mind the paycheck though does he?
