Excuse me, but the electorate including the super-wealthy voted Obama and 4 more Democratic Senators into office. Give them what they want GOOD and HARD.

Kristol was on the tv this am talking about all this. It may have been this tape. But he was smiling and so happy. While he may not have been happy with the loss, he sure did not look it. He seemed “positively giddy” about it.
The GOP is terribly afraid of the tea party.
We have to keep going with that.
Even pointing out that X and Y teaparty candidates lost and some more too. But what is the record of the GOP elites and inow over the last 50 yrs. Horrible.
I think teaPs have done very well. Hard to counter idiot statements.

The dam is getting close to breaking regardless of who the controlling party is. (Not really a lot of difference–look at the laws put into existence by republican presidents. Best repubs seem to be able to do is slow it down.) I’m at the point now, I’d rather get it over with–let the dems have what they want. The lesson of history is that all great countries(empires) decline. The results of the decline will always be unpredictable, but if we stand up and face it(state secession, independant communities, ?)maybe we can control it as much as possible. The takers will be lost and become non-factors.

I think it is time a new party is formed that actually has a platform that not only believes in fiscal conservation but actually supports that platform and elects people that will follow through on that platform.

The dems are totally under control of the loony left/socialist/communist faction and the repubs are too weak and/or have no backbone whatsoever to stand up to them. I am sick to death of being told that minorities are going to become the major voting block in this country because they have been and are going to continue to be targeted by the dems to become completely dependent upon the government, thus ensuring their future votes.

There were a bout 3 million fewer WHITE voters in the past election. That means that those are the people who gave the election to the commie-in-chief. I really think that those people did not vote because they felt that R/R would only continue to same practices in the republican party that have been exhibited since the Bush days and continues by the majority of elected republicans today.

The only way to solve this problem is for people to dump the establishment people that run the repub party. There are only two ways to do that: either force the establishment to actually be conservative or dump the party completely. And, just how well has it worked out to force the establishment to move back to conservatism? Another election is down the drain and we are now going to forever live in a soft tyranny/socialist country that may be far too gone to salvage by the time another four years rolls around. I am to the point that I am VERY close to blaming the republicans for the hell my children will have to put up with for their futurel.

We really need to think about how to deal with the nightmare created by the repubs that have and will continue to cave to the left!

They are not proposing a wealth tax, only an income tax. Most of the wealthy, like Buffet, either do not pay themselves a salary, or it is minimal. He still has not paid his corporate taxes. We also should end the tax breaks Hollyweird gets. They have billions we could tap. They seem to think those who actually do work don’t need their money. Well, neither do the perpetually pampered.

Who said Bill Kristol is a Republican?

Let me float my new idea that nobody has tried yet: reduce federal spending!

  • Hippies Still Smell

We’ve seen this bedwetting behavior before.

    H.L. Mencken described Kristol’s ilk thus;

“When the call was for a headlong attack they backed and filled. It thus became impossible, at the close of their campaigns, to distinguish them from mild New Dealers — in other words, inferior Roosevelts. He was always a mile ahead of them, finding new victims to loot and new followers to reward, flouting common sense and boldly denying its existence, demonstrating by his anti-logic that two and two made five, promising larger and larger slices of the moon.”

    plus ca’ change…

If Boehner was a Leader, he would move to defund the healthcare monstrosity. Since Obumma doesn’t enforce laws he opposes, the opposition party should do the same!!! In a fight between Pitbulls and Poodles, the outcome is assured.

    Republican leadership Stinks!!

    Slippery slope Bill, slippery slope

you don’t understand. career republican politicans want your money just as much as democrats.

  • Joe Clark

Give me a break. Kristol has been making conservative/libertarian arguments and defending the political right for decades, while most of us were still in diapers, and everyone wants to kick him to the curb?

Message to base: We lost two presidential elections in a row and the opposing party still controls the Senate while gaining 2 seats there. No one on the right, including Kristol, is in favor of raising taxes, but there are realities (both fiscal and political) that need to be dealt with. The country needs to move forward. The country has, in terms of federal/national leadership, stated that they were willing to accept higher taxes. That is the message of the dominant party.

Give the country what they want while saying, “I warned you.” In fact, I’d put Obama’s budget proposal from earlier this year and give it 100% GOP support. If THIS is what the American people really want, well, then they’ll get it.

    Kristol,like his parents,is a Trotskyite at heart.

  • rabble-rouser

speak for yourself jackleg. do you live paycheck to paycheck, hoping and praying to keep a roof over your family’s head? and yes I realize how blessed I am to have a warm bed to sleep in and have food to eat. It frightens me to think someone else feels I have too much and I should share.

  • Marybel

Will you be surprised if Dem millionaires are granted waivers?

  • J. Knight

Look, folks, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to hit the Democratic money machine with tax increases. Hit the movie and music industry hard, target the huge, untaxed sums hidden away by the likes of Soros, Buffet, Gates, Spielberg, and people like that. You will all of a sudden see a lack of interest in new taxes. Be smarter than they are, it’s not difficult.

#21 RedStateGal “Excuse me, but the electorate including the super-wealthy voted Obama and 4 more Democratic Senators into office. Give them what they want GOOD and HARD.”

Here’s the problem: Taxes are assessed on earnings; not on wealth. The super-wealthy have their money and are willing to deny others the mobility to become wealthy (through taxes on earnings).

Here’s the solution: Eliminate this massive government that requires confiscating half of the fruit of *our* labor to exist.

You mean those millionaire facilities that make $250K?
