St. Louis native and conservative leader Ann Wagner delivered the Republican Weekly Address today. Ann is just the third Republican Congressional Candidate to deliver the weekly address the election cycle.
Ann Wagner touted Romney in the address and called for overhauling the burdensome tax code.
The Washington Times reported:
“As a first-time candidate, I do a lot of listening,” Ms. Wagner said in the GOP’s weekly address. “For all the fear out there, the one thing I hear most often is, ‘we can do better.’ It’s what our parents taught us. I can remember watching mine toil morning, noon and night. I saw my father deal with every headache the government threw his way – whether it had to do with the signs on the front of the building or the prices on the showroom floor.”
Ms. Wagner then called for overhauling “our 72,000-page monstrosity of a tax code,” repealing Mr. Obama’s health care overhaul and developing America’s energy resources.
“These are all good ideas that Mitt Romney supports, but President Obama has ignored or rejected,” she said. “That’s disappointing, especially considering how his policies have failed. He promised to listen, promised us change, but all we’ve gotten is more of the same. More spending, more red tape, more debt and decline. A loss of hope.”

And below is why the words of Ann Wagner, Romney, Ryan and others have resonated in the Republican party. We are enthusiastic and ready for REAL CHANGE, NOT JUST WORDS.

Gallup Releases Bombshell Survey …
This morning, Gallup released a bombshell survey of likely voters this November. It wasn’t a horse race poll, i.e. which candidate is ahead, but rather a look at the underlying demographics that will make up the electorate this November. They slap the survey with a very misleading headline, “2012 U.S. Electorate Looks Like 2008.” While this is true in many respects, it obscures one very big difference. For the first time in a presidential election, more Republicans will vote than Democrats.
In 2008, 54% of likely voters identified as Democrat or lean Democrat. 42% of likely voters identified as GOP or lean GOP. In other words, the electorate, including independents who lean towards a particular party, was D+12. This year, however, the Democrat advantage has disappeared. 49% of likely voters today identify as GOP or lean GOP. Just 46% of likely voters are or lean towards the Democrats. This is a 15-point swing towards the GOP from 2008 to an outright +3 advantage for the GOP. By comparison, in 2004, when Bush won reelection, the electorate was evenly split, with each party getting support from 48% of likely voters.
If these numbers are within even a few points of what this survey suggests, then Romney will win decisively and the GOP will pick up the Senate. We are likely standing on the edge of another GOP wave election.
Keep in mind, the Gallup survey suggests that voter turnout among Obama’s biggest supporters, i.e. minorities and young voters, will generally match 2008 levels. Obama’s problem is that, relatively speaking, there just aren’t that many of these voters. Voters under 30 will make up 13% of the electorate, one point below ’08 and even with ’04. Minorities will make up 20%, up 5 from ’04 and only up 1 point from ’08.

WOW. OT, but I’m overcome by a story ROMNEY just told an audience in Pensacola, FLA. OUR FLAG on board the Challenger flight that exploded. I’m afraid I won’t do it justice, so hope JIM will post a clip of his remarks. The room was totally SILENT as the story developed…
GOD LOVES AMERICA. Let’s love and keep her too – just as she was ORIGINALLY FOUNDED.
FurryGuy commented:
I didn’t hear that story but I saw the crowd shots before Mitt stepped up to the podium and I was so eerily reminded of 2008 Barry crowds; the audience was HUGE.
The TV shot(s) I saw would be hard, if not impossible, to dismiss the number of people at the speech/rally as an artifact of creative angles.

Even with the demoRats trying voter fraud, it is hard for me to even consider thinking Barry will carry Ohio.

He told that same story in another speech about 2 weeks ago. It was beautiful and it give us all hope. HOPE, FAITH AND FREEDOM.
We all have been inspired by Romney. He has a mind that just doesn’t stop and great one.
He has done things behind the scenes that is not made public. He takes time to help others with no recognition. Just doing things to help others. Something Obama does for a photo op. There is the difference, RESPECT, LOVE FOR COUNTRY EXUDES FROM ROMNEY.
Patty commented:
Mitt Romney told the gathering an incredible story about an American Flag that was aboard the space shuttle Challenger when it exploded 25 years ago. Perhaps I’d heard the story before, seems like we all would have. But if I had, in all the din of what passes for life in America today, I’d forgotten it.

The flag belonged to Boy Scout Troop 514 of Monument, Colorado. Their Scoutmaster was William Tolbert, a major in the United States Air Force assigned to the Space Command and he arranged to have the flag on board that ill fated Challenger flight.
The flag was sealed in plastic and was next to some souvenir medallions being flown by one of the Astronauts. As the Challenger wreckage was brought up from the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, the flag was found, miraculously still in its sealed plastic bag, intact and completely unscathed. The souvenir medallions had melted into a single lump.

Hillary Endorsement of Ukrainian Opposition Brings Jewish Community Blowback
Now the American Jewish community is speaking out about this disturbing situation. “It appears to be a move that would inject into the mainstream what seems to be a so-far marginalized party that clearly is just anti-Semitic,” said Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a global Jewish human rights organization. “That is extremely disturbing. And looking across Europe, you see the Golden Dawn situation in Greece, in Hungary with Jobbik — although each country has its own set of circumstances, we’re seeing the re-emergence of groups that belong in the gutter. You have democracy and the right to speak, of course, but to mainstream this into the body politic against the backdrop of hundreds of years of history is really disturbing.”
David Suissa, president of the Los Angeles Jewish Journal, explained, “Russian Israelis have a deep understanding of the dark arts of Russian politics, and that includes Ukraine. It’s not surprising that they would jump on this shift and see the potential harm for Israel-Ukraine relations.”
“This is an unacceptable development in Ukrainian politics,” said Marc Brown, trustee of Agudath Israel. “And for Secretary of State Clinton to essentially endorse a Ukrainian opposition that includes a neo-Nazi party is deeply troubling.”

Thanks, guys, for commenting/sharing on what I’d just heard at the Florida rally. I’ll only add that as Romney told his part in the story, he was sitting at a table with the US flag next to him and listened as the Scout Master told the story. Then when he said, “That flag is right there” and pointed to it next to Romney (who might have been hearing for the first time)….
Romney then stood and turned to the flag to unfurl it so the audience could see how beautiful it still was. Immediately he felt electricity run through his arm as he held our flag. How different are Romney and Obama! We saw that one couldn’t bring himself to put his hand respectfully over his heart, while the other, knowing what our flag represents, felt the very life force of our Creator coursing through his veins.
