Reporters Applaud Obama After He Takes Jab at Romney’s Wealth

Mainstream liberal reporters at the debate last night applauded Obama after he took a jab at Mitt Romney’s wealth.
The Washington Times reported:
The room set aside for reporters to watch Tuesday night’s debate erupted into applause after President Obama ridiculed the size of Mitt Romney’s personal wealth.
Mr. Romney was trying to make the point that both his and Mr. Obama’s investment funds probably include investments in China — something the president has attacked Mr. Romney for.
“Mr. President, have you looked at your pension?” Mr. Romney said.
“You know, I don’t look at my pension. It’s not as big as yours, so it — it doesn’t take as long,” Mr. Obama retorted. His reply prompted laughter in the debate hall where the two men were squaring off — but across the way in the separate room where the press was stationed, a brief round of applause broke out.

You don’t EVER face another man and talk in terms of looking him over on matters of bigness and length….and your certainly don’t say ” Yours is bigger “…This was a humiliating exchange for Obama.

Applauding?! That cheap, snarky, ad hominem line?!?!!You know, if there is video of that, it should be posted – and shared FAR AND WIDE so it goes viral! These tools are incapable of reporting news – certainly not without leftist bias – or doing anything but slavishly bowing, protecting, and servicing this man and his entourage of leftists/Marxists.
What a disgrace. I knew the media was dead. That was clear in 2008. But this should be evidence to all that this country is in trouble – not just from the dangerous, anti-American policies of this regime, but from the media sycophants who CHEER when their guy, a failure of a “leader” by any stretch of the term, takes a cheap shot – because they LIKE HIM, and WILL DO ANYTHING FOR HIM.
Stop watching, people. Stop buying the papers, magazines, and visiting their leftie sites. Make it clear that you will NOT “consume” their propaganda-pap.

Let’s imagine this exchange between John McCain and John Kerry in a hypothetical. Senator Kerry is much wealthier than Senator McCain. I’d have enjoyed the line coming from Senator McCain, so I enjoy it coming from President Obama. It’s a clever turn of phrase.
The in-the-tankness (to coin a phrase) of the MSM is old news. It’s conceivable that this clever bit might have gotten applause for Gov. Romney, but I doubt it. In my own mind, the pension phrase neatly matches the one about tax breaks for off-shoring — “I’ve been in business for 25 years and I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
As much as I dislike President Obama as president and even as an individual, the phrase was nicely turned.

At the very beginning of the Hofstra University presidential debate, “moderator” Candy Crowley announced the rules of the road and noted that the “audience has agreed to be polite and attentive — no cheering, no booing, or outbursts of any sort.”
But many debate watchers on Twitter noticed that First Lady Michelle Obama — in bright pink in the bottom right-hand corner of the cutaway shown on Fox News (we’ve screen-capped it above) — clapped loudly, vigorously, and ostentatiously during the shameful Obama/Crowley tag-team against Romney over what the president said in the Rose Garden about Benghazi.
