Mitt Romney now has a 19 point lead among independent voters.
Romney has surged 16 points since Sunday before the final debate. According to Megyn Kelly on America Live, Romney’s numbers with independent voters is the sharpest tilt since Ronald Reagan’s 49 state landslide in 1984.
Ronald Reagan won 49 states in 1984.

Being from Minnesocold it’s hard to forget Wally and the Beav. We might actually be in play this year and since we don’t have a Minnesota Native on the ticket this time around maybe Illinois can take the spot of the only State idiotic enough to vote for the Democratic candidate.

is there anything in US law that would allow congress or ?? to remove Obama from office immediately after the election? I hate to think of the damage he’ll do in the lame duck period.

And in ’84 Modale won his home state on MN by less than 2/10ths of a point. Reagan was less than 3800 MN votes away from a 50-state sweep.

Ah, 1984. The last time my home state voted Republican. I was in college at the time and in a Poli Sci class during the election season. One of our assignments was to predict the EV. Not only was I the only student to predict a Reagan victory (delusion on near-Ivy campuses was strong that year) I was the only one to perfectly predict the EV.
Still got a B- in the class because I spent too much time having fun to ever show up.

The Reagan/Mondale reace is not a fair comparison, Reagan was an incumbant President trying to run on his record.
In all seriousness, this may be THE most important election in our lifetime. . .
the DemocRAT party has been hijacked by the radical left
And Obama does not see himself as one of us. . .
Just read p47 of his book Dreams From My Father
Where his mother shouted to her Indonesian Husband about Americans:
“They ARE NOT my Poeple”
so I leave you with this:

You may think you know who this is

Mondale won his home state Minnesota by a grand total of 4,000 votes.
All these years later, and Minnesota’s history on record, it is now clear that Minnesota Dems pulled out all the Stops (FRAUD) to ensure that Mondale would not lose his home state.
I remember the 10 days leading up to that election there was talk about the Reagan team going for the 50-State Sweep, and the anger from Dems about that.
I would bet the farm that Reagan really did win Minnesota and it really was a 50-State sweep. Doesn’t that fit everything you know about Minnesota since then?
