As Barack Obama continues his war on the middle class his wife Michelle is telling radio hosts we’re “in the midst of a huge recovery.”

CNS News
reported:

First Lady Michelle Obama said in a radio interview on Friday that the United States is in the “midst of a huge recovery” because of what “this president has done.”

Pablo Sato, co-host of Pablo & Free on WPGC 95.5, a Washington, D.C.-area hip-hop radio station, asked the first lady: “Mrs. Obama, you know what, in your words, tell us what you think the state of the union is in right now?”

Mrs. Obama said, “I mean, we are seeing right now that we are in the midst of a huge recovery. Right? Because of what this president has done.”

  1. She’s smoking the same stuff the prez is.

  2. As soon as you start eating lobster somewhere else, the recovery begins.

Buying expensive, ugly outfits and having a $1.7 bill/year entourage is not “recovery”.

    Now get lost.

  3. They can say anything they want…it’s all over once they count the votes. People have seen just too much damage done to middle income America. It will take a decade to dig themselves out of the hole.

Crazy liberals will vote for 0bama, but swing voters and independents in the swing states will have the final say on election day.

Who can justify the actions of 0bama during the past 4 years. Biden is ….why waste the ink.

Governor Romney will start the recovery the day after the election, obama would only make things worse and worse and worse.

  4. Are we? During a radio interview last week with a local D.C. hip hop station, First Lady Michelle Obama claimed we are in a “huge recovery.”

Reality check: Under Barack Obama, the unemployment rate was above 8.1 percent for 42 months. The current unemployment rate of 7.9 percent is a result of more people giving up the search for job, not a result of more people being employed. Not to mention, 7.9 percent was the unemployment rate when Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009 and was considered a crisis, it should be considering a crisis now too. There are more people than ever on food stamps and 23 million people are out of work. One of every two college graduates are moving back in with their parents because they can’t find a job. The number of jobs added each month falls short of the number of jobs needed to simply keep up with population growth. On average, a gallon of gas costs $4 per gallon. GDP growth has been less than 2 percent in 2012, hardly a sign of recovery.

  5. Stupid teabaggers can’t get it right.

Just like Drunk Uncle Joe, Michelle was talking about the WHITE HOUSE. Not the general economy. Things are so damn good in the White House, hell, it puts the Roaring 20s to shame. Parties every night. So many celebrities coming in and out, you’d swear it’s the Grammies. Money’s so good, even the barber has his own Air Force One 747 that comes and gets him four times a month.

What the hell you people talking about? Your economy? Damn. Sucks to be you.

    FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

  6. This is just a set-up. Once Romney is elected and the economy starts moving again guess who is going to take credit? I can hear it now. The economy was getting better anyway when Obama left office so Romney doesn’t deserve any credit for the turnaround. Kind of like when Obama took office only in reverse.

  7. *These are not the droids you’re looking for*

Whatever. They may win over some VERY ignorant, low-information voters with their repeat-it-often-enough-the-ignorant-will-believe-it spin, but most of us out here – even those aren’t political junkies like we are – won’t buy it because we FEEL it every day. You feel it at the grocery store when you notice food and grocery prices up 10% from just a year or so ago. You feel it at the pump, when it costs $80 to fill up your tank when it used to cost you $50. You feel it every month when you pay your electricity bill, knowing you continue to be economical and practical – turning off lights when you’re not in the room, keeping it warmer or cooler depending upon the season, turning up your fridge temp, etc – but your electric bill keeps going up, up, up. Every thing, in every way, more expensive, while the money you bring in keeps going down. These people are actually cheering an unemployment rate of 7.8%, the same exact number it was when they took office… only now, even though we have more citizens in this country, a smaller portion of that citizenship is participating in the workforce. In other words, there are less productive people pulling a wagon that’s stacked full of unproductive people who are not only happy but PROUD to be on the government dole. Yeah Mooch and Obama, keep on telling us not to believe our lying eyes.

  8. hey Patty, regarding that 7.8% unemployment rate, do you really think it’s fare to blame Barack if the common, dirty middle class people don’t try to get jobs? Why should Barack bear the brunt of their laziness?

If you think I’m kidding, go look at how the unemployment numbers are calculated. The labor bureaucrats have concluded, like Michelle, that things are SO DAMN GOOD that everyone who wants a job, could get one. Just go get it. It’s like Matthew Lesko guy who wears the riddler suit on late night infomercials… the money’s littering the road, things are so good. Just grab a bucket and go get some. That’s what it looks like in Washington DC, particularly if you’re a government union employee. 15% bonuses every year. Guaranteed benefit pensions that you don’t even pay 3% into. Making twice what the private sector makes. Going to conferences several times a year in places like Hawaii, taking helicopter tours and getting to wear funny outfits that make fun of the stupid taxpayers. Gift bags filled with all sorts of valuable goodies.

What’s to complain about? So what if the middle class collapses and small businesses are wiped out? Someone’s got to be sacrificed if the political and bureaucratic class is to live in style.

  9. Once again, we can thank our lucky stars that Mooch is so smart, nobody else was able to catch it, good thing we got her around to tell us what’s happening.

  10. This is EXACTLY what James Carvile warned Obama NOT to do…Some months back he expressly warned against running a campaign of economic LIES and ILLUSION.

Carvile said not to try and talk the American people into disbelieving their own eyes and make wild false claims of a recovery that does not exist.

Now you know why it was so critical for the Bureau of Labor Statistics to counterfeit the unemployment numbers to 7.8% and why the left media went
ghestapo on Jack Welch for crying fraud. They desparately needed the fake numbers to run their fake closing arguement of a recovery in early stages.

  11. U.S. Households Face Tax Increase From 2013 Fiscal Cliff

U.S. households are facing an average tax increase of $3,446 in 2013 if Congress doesn’t avert the so- called fiscal cliff, the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center said in a study released today. [........]

A typical middle-income household earning between about $40,000 and $60,000 a year would see a tax increase of about $2,000. The average federal tax rate, including all taxes, would reach 24.3 percent, up five percentage points.

After the Nov. 6 election, Congress is scheduled to return to Washington to debate the automatic spending cuts and tax increases that will start in January unless lawmakers act. For calendar year 2013, taxes would increase by $536 billion, or about 20 percent.

“This is a very large tax increase,” Donald Marron, the center’s director, told reporters in Washington today.

If Congress does nothing, tax rates on income, capital gains, dividends and estates would increase, and the alternative minimum tax would spread to 21.7 million households, up from 4 million this year.

The top statutory tax rate on ordinary income would reach 39.6 percent, up from 35 percent, and the top rate on capital gains would be 23.8 percent, up from 15 percent. A 2 percentage point payroll tax cut is set to expire at the end of 2012. [..............]

  12. We’re “in the midst of a huge recovery,” says FLOTUS.
…anybody who gets over $1 BILLION in taxpayer money lavished on them each year to fulfill their every wish and dream and craving would certainly think that things are just getting better and better and better and…

    EXAMPLE:
If an average American wants a beer, he has to walk a mile in the rain (can’t afford OBOZO-level gas prices) to the nearest discount store to buy a no-name bargain 6-pack.
If OBOZO wants a beer, he spends $1+ MILLION of our tax money to set up a brewery in the White House, staff it with a $175,000-a-year-salary professional brewmaster (plus several additional assistants), have the WH serving staff sent away for weeks of taxpayer-funded training on how to properly serve him beer and then he – incredibly – brags to his lunatic-base about all this waste, while sipping his personal White House brew.

  13. Marie Antoinette thought the same way…..

  14. When you’re not doing the job, we got to let you go.

Sorry Michelle – that includes you, too.

  15. She is the other half of dumb and dumber

  16. Actually she is correct. Now that Obama is a multi millionaire, life is ‘just peachy.’ She and her family are enjoying this ‘great rebound.’ Life is Good.

  17. Yeah, and she’s in the midst of a huge……… Never mind.

  18. this is what a recovery looks like in a socialist economy. the citizens in the private sector starve while the government officials eat caviar.

  19. Re #9 Multitude –

In the ’08 election, Michelle was out there (and BHO too) telling everybody to choose public service like they did, not private enterprise as a career choice. What a PILE as they diss what’s made America great.

They’re luring the selfish, shortsighted stupids into those jobs with all the perks, higher income and raises. Tell them to shove it all and get the heck out of town. We’re Americans! We don’t need the liars, cheats and thoroughly corrupt commies to make it in life.
