Lara Logan 2012 BGA Annual Luncheon Keynote Speech
This was a powerful speech by a committed war correspondent. Despite the misinformation from the administration and Democrat-media complex, Logan is determined to get the truth out about Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
Frontpage Magazine posted clips from Lara Logan’s powerful speech.
“Our way of life is under attack and if you think that’s government propaganda, if you think that’s nonsense, if you think that’s warmongering, you’re not listening to what the people who are fighting you say about this fight.”
“In your arrogance, you think you write the script, but you don’t. There’s two sides and we don’t dictate the terms. In fact after eleven years of war in Afghanistan, we’re rushing for the exits as fast as we can, not only do we not dictate the terms, but we have less power to dictate anything on the world stage.”
“Ambassador Ryan Crocker said, ‘We’ve killed all the slow and stupid ones. The ones that are left are more committed and they didn’t become any kinder or gentler in the last eleven years.’
“‘Another thing he said. We think we’ve won the campaign and they haven’t even begun to fight.’”
“If you fail to identify the ideological component to this fight, if you fail to identify what your enemy is really fighting for, if you lie about who they really are, I don’t see how you can possibly have the right strategy.”
“There’s a narrative coming out of Washington, much of it driven by Pakistani lobbying money and by Taliban apologists. One of my favorite things to read about is how the Taliban today is so unlike the Taliban of 2001, they’re a more moderate, gentler kinder Taliban who just can’t wait to see women in the workplace occupying an equal role in society and great economic prosperity for all of Afghanistan and they don’t really want to take us back 3,000 years into that terrible place I witnessed.”
“And when I look at what’s happening in Libya, this big song and dance, whether this was a terrorist attack or a protest, and you just want to scream for god’s sake, are you kidding me, the last time we were attacked like this was the USS Cole which was a prelude to the 1998 embassy bombings which was a prelude to 9/11. And you’re sending FBI to investigate. I hope you’re sending in your best clandestine warriors who will go in to exact revenge and let the world know that the United States will not be attacked on its own soil, that its ambassadors will not be murdered and that the United States will not do nothing about it.”

And Obama is more concerned about Big Bird!
What a jerk.

Wonder how long 60 Minutes takes to fire her?
I always assumed Logan after her horrible experience would react as a typical liberal and become even more of a Muslim apologist due to Stockholm syndrome. But she’s coming out swinging to her credit.
She doesn’t go all the way though. Ironically she says, “If you fail to identify the ideological component to this fight, if you fail to identify what your enemy is really fighting for, if you lie about who they really are, I don’t see how you can possibly have the right strategy” without having the courage to say the word “Islam”.
Jack commented:
Waiting for a MSM reporter to take the initiative to investigate the Libya coverup in depth like Watergate. Maybe she’s the one.
regularguy commented:
Well stated, Stan. Until we all identify the 800 lb gorilla (islam) as our enemy, we are all spinning wheels. There may be tribalism in Afghanistan to consider, as well as drug trafficking, but we are all effectively sending every serviceman’s family who is KIA the same form letter Obama sent to the fallen Navy SEALS, wasting their precious life while supposedly “thanking” their loved one for their service. We’ve never been serious about this war, and Obama’s surge for the past three years was designed to get him through the elections, not to achieve any military victory.

Stan, whistleblowers don’t last long under the Obama regime.
ATF Special Agent Vince Cefalu, who was the initial whistleblower of Fast & Furious, was fired on Tues. night in the parking lot of a Denny’s near Lake Tahoe. Cefalu, who has been on administrative leave for over a year for ” failing to follow the chain of command”, was called to meet at the Denny’s by Joseph Riehl, S. A. in charge of the San Fran field office.
Tyranny at work from the regime!!!!

CBS’ Lara Logan slams “Taliban apologists” in
Washington, says Obama administration lying
[“I chose this subject because, one, I can’t stand, that there is
a major lie being propagated . . .” Logan declared in her native
South African accent.
“There is this narrative coming out of Washington for the last two
years,” Logan said. It is driven in part by “Taliban apologists,” who
claim “they are just the poor moderate, gentler, kinder Taliban,”
she added sarcastically. “It’s such nonsense!”
Our enemies are writing the story, she
suggests, and there’s no happy ending for us.]
Thank You Lara..

“The poor moderate, gentler, kinder Taliban” just shot a 14 year old girl in the head because she advocated for educating women.
USMC Thomas commented:
Sad that it took a violent sexual assault to rid that liberal PC nonsense from her brain.

Half-In, Half-Out: The Modern State of Military Policy
[War is hell. That is what I am told. I have never served in the military, but I have the utmost respect for those that have or do. Because war is hell, if a war must exist, I favor a war that lasts exactly how long it takes to meet the objective and not a minute longer. For that reason, I have advocated from 2003 onward the “Sherman’s March” style of warfare- get over there, kick some… butt, and get home. It’s over-simplified, I know; but it’s the gist. I don’t spend unnecessary time at the dentist’s office, and soldiers should spend as little time as possible in a warzone. Win and then get home. But our modern military is dragging their feet, endangering our troops and advocating a contemptible style of “fighting.” America needs to get serious about war- after all, it is a very serious thing.
I have been called every name in the book. I have been called “insensitive,” I have been called a “hawk.” I am neither. I believe someone should never raise their fists unless they’re prepared to fight to win. One should never draw his gun unless he’s in mortal danger and he is prepared to shoot to kill in defense of himself or someone else. America should carefully consider going to war, but when they do, they should give it all they have, and do their absolute best to bring as many soldiers home alive while still achieving the objective. I am not a hawk; a hawk pushes for war. I am for careful consideration beforehand, and absolute, stunning commitment once engaged.
Too often, I am hearing trickled-down stories of soldiers being court-martialed for insensitivity to the enemy. I am hearing of too-harsh of tactics being used, and soldiers being reprimanded. Lieutenant Colonel Allen West now endures criticism from a snot-nosed punk running against him in Florida because West, having obtained information of an assassination plot against him and his men, interrogated an Iraqi police officer by firing a gun next to his head. This episode is now used against him in his Congressional race by a spoiled brat who knows nothing of honor. I am proud of Lieutenant Colonel West and his actions. It should be noted that he must have done something right; he made it home, and is now a Congressman.]

Who cares about women in the Afghan workplace?
The women of Afghanistan are factories for producing future Teliban fighters and the children are future canon fodder for the Jihade. Nuke the entire site from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.

Biden’s Intelligence
[Don't worry, be happy may be a good campaign theme for Mr. Biden. Don't
worry about a resurgent al Qaeda in North Africa. Or the escalating war in
Syria. Or Iran's mullahs with weapons grade uranium, or Vladimir Putin's
increasingly anti-American policy, or China's muscular antics in the Pacific.
Overseas, said Mr. Biden, this Administration has "repaired our alliances so
the rest of the world follows up again." He clearly knows something the
world doesn't.]
WE HAD BETTER WAKE THE HECK UP WHILE
WE STILL HAVE SOMETHING TO WAKE UP TO!!

we have a faux president who epitomizes “not caring”.. i care,
so did Jack Kennedy & President Bush, and i am still a Kennedy
Dem & Bush Rep, not an IslaMarxist Dino or Rino..
btw.. if you’re a women you had better care, lest we find ourselves in
a brave new back to the future world where women are second class
citizens..
