Andrew Breitbart understood the media.
Glenn Reynolds understood Andrew Breitbart.

The 2012 election is looking more and more like it will be a Romney landslide.
Does the Democrat-media complex see it coming?
Glenn Reynolds wrote about liberal media cocooning at USA Today this morning.
The documentary Hating Breitbart, about the late blogger and media gadfly Andrew Breitbart, opened this past weekend to packed houses. The theme of the film — and of Breitbart’s life — is how conventional “mainstream” media deliberately distort the news to benefit the policies and politicians they favor.
That’s no secret in the Obama era, of course, as the press’s efforts to boost, and then protect, the presidency of Barack Obama have become ever more obvious. But it’s still worth pointing out. It’s a problem for America, and it’s a problem for people on the right. But it’s probably a bigger problem for people with whom the media agree. That’s because they wind up living in a bubble, protected from contrary views, which means that they are perpetually caught by surprise when reality asserts itself.
We may be about to see this happen again. Though we’ve been told over and over again by the press that President Obama, and his policies, are overwhelmingly popular with the American public, and that challenger Mitt Romney is an unlikable loser, this may turn out not to be the case.
In recent years, we’ve often seen that the truth on the ground doesn’t match the images presented in the press. Despite representations that it was a narrow fringe group composed of “bitter clingers,” the Tea Party movement handed the House of Representatives to the Republicans in 2010. And despite claims that it was washed up, the Tea Party movement has remained a force in 2012.

Not only are they protected from the truth with their bubble but they become VERY angry when things do not go their way.
If you live in a city or an area prone to such activity I highly suggest you prepare for unrest in the streets if Romney wins.
Just sayin…

Of course they will. I recall some poor, deluded soul after the defeat of John Kerry, saying “they voted against their own economic interests!”

We pray every day for a fair election. . .and a landslide for Romney. . .but here in Cuyahoga Cty, (Cleveland OH), a Dem stronghold (full of corruption), we have no confidence in our local BoE to be fair and to count each and every ballot, especially absentee ballots. . .we have real concerns that some, might just “disappear”!
valerie commented:
Part of the problem — and it is a problem — is that our newsies automatically characterize those who are critical of a Democratic administration on any issue as “conservatives.” It’s a lazy way of thinking that distorts the public discussion.
Are we really to believe that Liberals don’t want a clean voting system? that they don’t care if the Obama campaign is, once again, taking illegal campaign contributions from overseas? that they don’t want our gun laws enforced? that they’ll really accept statements about a “scientific consensus” when the data is corrupted?
The simple truth is that Liberals and Conservatives in this country are not all that far apart on many, many issues, and that Liberals despise stupid policy and revolting developments as much as Conservatives do.
If I think the administration lied about what happened in Benghazi, that doesn’t make me Conservative, it makes me able to get my news from someplace besides this administration.
Oliver commented:
Dem pundits have already started the “Romney lied throughout the debate” spin.
By continuing to try demonize a man who probably couldn’t lie if his life depended on it, it becomes apparent that THEY are lying, and have been lying about Romney’s character all along.
Most people, certainly women, have no patience for liars.
For this reason, Romney’s stragegy to present an image that was completely counter everything Team O has been saying, was brilliant.

Think 1989 when the Contras defeated Ortega and the communist Sandinistas, despite the idiotic “polls” the US News Media Complex conducted of peasants in Nicaragua with communist party members “observing” poll taking and responses. The US Media really were shocked when the Reagan backed Contra Freedom fighters won in a landslide! Even Jimmy Carter was there “monitoring” the fairness of the vote, so the commies couldn’t rig it! Carter was only there because he too believed the idiotic polls of the US Media Complex. Funniest election night in history.

The Taranto Effect. By cocooning their politicians, they’ve grown incapable of defending their policies. Throwing a crutch and a smokescreen at every opportunity breeds incompetence and corruption. They’ve only themselves to blame.

True enough, but all of the liberals/dems I know never look beyond their daily feed from Media Matters & MoveOn.org. Don’t know if that makes them lazy or just naive, but the bottom line is that they continue to buy the liberal BS, hook, line & sinker.
My theory on that is: people hear what they want to hear, and the left has mastered the art of telling them what they want to hear.

I pray that they will all be caught completely off guard, believing they have secret info that Obama will “somehow” win, in spite of appearances.
TOTALLY off guard. And that their Harvest will be an Avalanche of EXPONENTIAL proportions above their wildest imaginations.

Navigating a new computer is like sitting in an airport waiting area. (CNN is all that’s given to watch.) Don’t know which of the leftie media sites I clicked on to get their idea of “fact checking.” But the statements they chose from last night’s debate and their ratings were so in the tank for BHO, it was disgusting. Obviously, this is what most people are viewing/reading. So if you wonder how HALF of voting America can still consider voting for BHO, it’s the media leading them astray.
The lefties in the media MUST go down in flames along with BHO.
Hope at least the viewers, Indies/women in particular, last night picked up on what Laura Ingraham is mentioning (as I did during the debate thread) on her radio show right now — BHO’s “death stare”. If only he’d give that menacing look to our enemies. Instead, he gave it to Romney (and Bibi). Proof enough where his loyalties lie. It ain’t with us and our best friends!
