In October 2011 Al-Qaeda or an offshoot group planted its flag on the Benghazi Courthouse. The terror group warned locals:
“Whomever speaks ill of this flag, we will cut out his tongue.”

From the video: According to one Benghazi resident, Islamists driving brand-new SUVs and waving the black al Qaeda flag drive the city’s streets at night shouting, “Islamiya, Islamiya! No East, nor West!”

On June 6, 2012, the US Consulate in Benghazi was bombed.

Now we know that Ambassador Chris Stevens warned superiors in Washington of increasing violence in Benghazi the day he was murdered. He also wrote a cable about his concerns that the Al-Qaeda flag has been spotted several times flying over government buildings.
James Rosen at FOX News reported:

Across 166 pages of internal State Department documents – released today by a pair of Republican congressmen pressing the Obama administration for more answers on the Benghazi terrorist attack – slain U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and the security officers assigned to protect him repeatedly sounded alarms to their superiors in Washington about the intensifying lawlessness and violence in Eastern Libya, where Stevens ultimately died.

On September 11 – the day Stevens and three other Americans were killed – the ambassador signed a three-page cable, labeled “sensitive,” in which he noted “growing problems with security” in Benghazi and “growing frustration” on the part of local residents with Libyan police and security forces. These forces the ambassador characterized as “too weak to keep the country secure.”

In the document, Stevens also cited a meeting he had held two days earlier with local militia commanders. These men boasted to Stevens of exercising “control” over the Libyan Armed Forces, and threatened that if the U.S.-backed candidate for prime minister were to prevail in Libya’s internal political jockeying, “they would not continue to guarantee security in Benghazi.”

Roughly a month earlier, Stevens had signed a two-page cable, also labeled “sensitive,” that he entitled “The Guns of August: Security in Eastern Libya.” Writing on August 8, the ambassador noted that in just a few months’ time, “Benghazi has moved from trepidation to euphoria and back as a series of violent incidents has dominated the political landscape…The individual incidents have been organized,” he added, a function of “the security vacuum that a diverse group of independent actors are exploiting for their own purposes.”

“Islamist extremists are able to attack the Red Cross with relative impunity,” Stevens cabled. “What we have seen are not random crimes of opportunity, but rather targeted and discriminate attacks.” His final comment on the two-page document was: “Attackers are unlikely to be deterred until authorities are at least as capable.”

…After the U.S. consulate in Benghazi had been damaged by an improvised explosive device, earlier that month, Stevens had reported to his superiors that an Islamist group had claimed credit for the attack, and in so doing, had “described the attack as ‘targeting the Christians supervising the management of the consulate.”

“Islamic extremism appears to be on the rise in eastern Libya,” the ambassador wrote, adding that “the Al-Qaeda flag has been spotted several times flying over government buildings and training facilities…”

Despite these many warnings the Obama administration cut security in Libya.
And then they lied and said the 9-11 Benghazi terror strike was a YouTube “protest.”

  2. #21 … I know! I am SO excited for this debate! :D

  3. I always wonder why my Chicago relatives continue to vote Democratic. Yesterday, the Chicago Tribune ran this LA Times story (Tribune owns LA Times) on front page of digital edition:

No evidence found of Al Queda Role in Libya Attack,0,95514.story

The story is gone today but the damage is done to any fool who read it and believed it.

It’s so sad that people don’t challenge the media to be honest.

  4. He’s already lost the election. I hope this blows up His legacy for ALL to see. it should.

  5. I do not think the Obama administration has any respect for the American flag. This simple fact is why pointing out various flags overseas has no meaning to the White House.

Since the vast majority of the people in the US media support the idea of burning the US flag, and some have participitated in burning it themselves, they simply see a ‘common ground’ with people in foreign countries that also burn a US flag.

  6. #13 – Thats what I was thinking.

  7. Yes #20 to most Americans Ben Ghazi is the name of the Guru doing the Chori Chori sex dance…>

  8. The truth is coming out. I watched a special that Bret Baier had on the Fox Channel last night about all the deceit going on regarding the Benghazi/Libya situation. I highly recommend everyone watch this. It will make your skin crawl. It shows a timeline of all the events leading up to the attack in Benghazi and how the Whitehouse and the Obama administration handled it afterwards. It will be on again on Sunday, October 21 on the Fox News Channel at 2:00 pm Central time and then again at 9:00 pm Central time. It is called Death and Deceit in Benghazi, A Special Report with Bret Baier. The corrupt media is not reporting everything about this event. This is a real eye opener. If you think the U.S. is safe from Al Queda and terrorist attacks, think again !

  9. BENGHAZI COVERUP – CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE. Criminal Negligence by the Obama Administration in Libya (with video report) In one of the worst incidents in history in our government’s failure to protect our diplomats abroad, the United States Department of State withdrew U.S. security personnel from Libya. This act of criminal neglect was done in spite of repeated warnings from our embassy that the anarchic Libyan government was not able … READ MORE:

Again, President Obama’s initial statements following the Benghazi attack are much less important than the positions he and his administration took during the following weeks; both together are less important than why and how President Obama failed during the weeks and months preceding the Benghazi attack. He can try to place the blame on others, but cannot be permitted to do so. Those failures are “not optimal” for him politically and should be unerasable black marks on his presidency. Far worse, however, four American “bumps in the road” are now dead because of his incompetence and/or inattention; no conceivable “not optimal” consequences for President Obama’s reelection or legacy can rise to that level of importance, except perhaps to him.

President Obama failed to become — and remain — situationally aware of the explosive nature of the Middle East in general and Libya in particular. In consequence, his Administration failed to “harden” the Benghazi outpost. The problems go far beyond that, however. His failure (or inability) aggressively to assert the interests of the United States, his continued reluctance to take effective steps to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power, his at best wishy-washy approach to the survival of our only free and democratic ally in the region, Israel, his evident preference for the perks of his office rather than for the hard work it entails and his incessant fund raising and campaigning for reelection all demonstrate that President Obama is unfit to be the President of the United States.

  11. W.H. Tries to Write Al Qaeda Out of Libya Story

One thing that has troubled both intelligence officials and those on Capitol Hill as they have evaluated the administration’s early response to the attacks is what appears to be an effort to write al Qaeda out of the story. For example, the talking points first reported by Lake, include this sentence: “There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.” But according to several officials familiar with the original assessment from which the talking points were derived, the U.S. intelligence community had reported the fact that these were extremists with ties to al Qaeda. That key part was omitted.

Why was that language dropped from the talking points distributed to Congress and Obama administration officials? Did anyone at the White House or on the National Security Council have any role in drafting them?

In addition to the intercepts between Ansar al Sharia jihadists and AQIM, the Associated Press reported Friday that “the CIA station chief in Libya reported to Washington within hours of last month’s deadly attack on the US consulate that there was evidence it was carried out by militants, not a spontaneous mob upset about an American-made video ridiculing Islam’s Prophet Muhammad.”

As further evidence of the ever-shifting Obama administration narrative, the AP article, which ran some 24 hours before this latest public relations push, also reported: “The White House now says the attack was probably carried out by an al Qaeda-linked group, with no public demonstration beforehand.”

  12. Twisting the truth and now there is buzz on Iran and that after elections Iran and next president, meaning Obama, of course, who else because this is Chicago Thuggery way, talks between us and them.

Funny, not really, anything to stir it up the eve of debate. PEOPLE WE CANNOT AFFORD OBAMA EVER AGAIN.

  13. OT…Interesting article, with this bit at the end. Was NOT wanting to “bring justice to killers” a motivation for the lie in addition to trying to hide from us exactly who was responsible?

Actually, this is much more than an issue of semantics. Calling it a terrorist attack would have given Obama powers under the Authorization for the Use of Military Force Against Terrorists (AUMF) to use military action, including drone warfare, against the perpetrators. If he were serious about “bring[ing] to justice the killers,” which he vowed to do in the speech, then labeling this incident a terrorist attack (if he believed that’s what it was) would have been critical.

  14. RE #34…calling Lara Logan. Maybe Mitt will bring her recent criticisms of this administration into the debate on Monday.

  15. I voted in early voting today and there was no American flag at the polling station. I hope when Mitt gets in we can get our flag back.

  16. Get ready people listen to two scenarios of what this supposed oct surprise might be before hand so you can tell you’re friends and neighbors of what a despicable man dumbo really is.1st scenario is that he has secret plans with iran to stop their nuclear plan so they can get reduced sanctions.2nd is in my eyes extremely despicable that Gloria speed is going to haul a woman to s podium saying that the woman and Romney have a love child.Since the oct surprise has a tendency to hulimate the candidate with some kind if scandal the 2nd sounds more plausible for the despicable democrats which according to a show I watched not only thru Hillary under the bus now seems to have thrown Patrick Kennedy under the bus also .Hum wonder what the Kennedys are saying noe.But I want to say havings my dad working on city council with Mitts dad and knowing thru out my life listening to my father saying the family were so very kind respectful people I take it as very offensive that they are trying to smear someone’s food name don’t fall for this smear campaign that is going to be produced there is only one reason for him to do so is that they even though I believe Romney is going to win with a landslide there is no excuse to smear a very loving couple who have been together for a long time this has to be one of the cheapest low down stunts if Its true.Don’t fall for it America he is only doing this is to scare the Americans into questioning their support of the only true person who is running for President I hope that this will be a backlash to dumbo who is only doing this to save his pride even though I believe him and his wife never really had an desire to actually stay in office the plan for them to move to Hawaii .don’t buy this stupid slander against Mitt Romney because I believe that God even is pulling out his hair out in heaven that a good msn is being talked about so wrongly.

  17. Sources: Predator drone was over Benghazi consulate during last hours of attack

CBS News has been told that, hours after the attack began, an unmanned Predator drone was sent over the U.S. mission in Benghazi, and that the drone and other reconnaissance aircraft apparently observed the final hours of the protracted battle…

But it was too late to help the Americans in Benghazi. The ambassador and three others were dead.

Retired CIA officer Gary Berntsen believes help could have come much sooner. He commanded CIA counter-terrorism missions targeting Osama bin Laden and led the team that responded after bombings of the U.S. Embassy in East Africa.

“You find a way to make this happen,” Berntsen says. “There isn’t a plan for every single engagement. Sometimes you have to be able to make adjustments. They made zero adjustments in this. They stood and they watched and our people died.”

  18. Subprime not only slept through the first debate. He lives in a dream-world.

  19. And why does all this matter?

It is all about trust. .do we trust Obama as our President. .or not

Answer is clear & simple. . . NO!!!!!

NObama in NOvember. . .just vote NO!
