Will the FBI Ever Reach Benghazi? 18 Days After Attack US Is Still Not at Terror Scene

The US consulate in Benghazi was attacked and destroyed on 9-11.
Four Americans were murdered including our US Ambassador to Libya in a preplanned attack.
The FBI reportedly arrived in Tripoli 10 days ago on the 19th. They’re not any closer today.
But the US has still not investigated the terror scene after 18 days. It is not clear that if and when they do reach the consulate their investigation will be of any use to the US.
CNN reported:
More than two weeks after four Americans — including the U.S. ambassador to Libya — were killed in an attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, FBI agents have not yet been granted access to investigate in the eastern Libyan city, and the crime scene has not been secured, sources said.
“They’ve gotten as far as Tripoli now, but they’ve never gotten to Benghazi,” CNN National Security Analyst Fran Townsend said Wednesday, citing senior law enforcement officials.
Last Thursday, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told reporters that an FBI team had reached Libya earlier in the week.
“In fairness to the secretary, it may be that she wanted to be coy about where they were in Libya for security concerns. That’s understandable. But the fact is, it’s not clear they’ve been in Libya for very long,” Townsend said on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360°.”
“They had difficulty, and we understand there was some bureaucratic infighting between the FBI and Justice Department on the one hand, and the State Department on the other, and so it took them longer than they would have liked to get into country. They’ve now gotten there. But they still are unable to get permission to go to Benghazi.”
FBI agents have made a request through the U.S. State Department for the crime scene to be secured, Townsend said, but that has not happened.
“The senior law enforcement official I spoke to said, ‘If we get there now, it’s not clear that it will be of any use to us,’” Townsend said.
Benghazi is still too dangerous for travel but our State Department sent our ambassador there to die on 9-11.

This is standard stuff for corrupt politicians. They say that something they’re involved with is being investigated so they can’t comment on it then they work behind the scenes to make sure that the inventigation never goes anywhere and is essentially “on-going” forever until it can be quietly dropped without anybody noticing.
If we had an independent mainstream media who actually reported news and kept the heat on these kinds of things to get answers, instead of a one-party propaganda machine who constantly shills for their party’s politicians while condemning everything the opposition party says or does, politicians would never get away with stuff like this.

Maybe they cannot get there because of a YouTube video.
They are not there and that consulate is not secure because Obama, Hillary and Susan Rice do not want their dereliction of duty exposed.

The FBI will never reach Benghazi as long as Eric Holder is in charge… and I am pulling his string!
I have a crappy campaign to run. I don’t have time for investigations… into my poor judgment and deadly policies! An investigation will open a can of worms. My crappy campaign can’t have any more bad publicity!
Besides, not one terrorists will killed in the attack – only one US Ambassador and three security people were killed. At Harvard Law school we call that a solid B+.

So lets see. We have a president that virtually the entire media acts as a propaganda machine for, will whitewash anything for, tell any lie to support, omit any fact. We have a United States Consulate that has been overrun and burned to the ground 18 days ago and while the FBI might not have gotten there to examine the scene, the media has – and has removed at least one item of substance.
We have a president and a State Department who are willing to move heaven and earth to sweep this under the rug until after the elections . . .
Do we really think the FBI is going to get into Benghazi anytime soon – or that they will find anything when they do?

Some folks are hoping this will affect the outcome of the election. It will not. Congress has started an investigation. They will receive a report on what happened in mid-November, about two weeks after the election.
No one is going to change their vote over this. Romney, who has no military or foreign policy background, is not going to win a fight on foreign affairs with an incumbent President. It may not be fair, but that’s just the way it is.
Romney’s strength is business and the economy. Time spent talking about Benghazi is time not spent talking about the crappy Obama economy and how Romney can fix it.
Fox has been running the Benghazi story 24X7 but it obviously is not helping Romney. I didn’t think it was possible for Romney to lose this election, but he seems to have found a way.
