More than 92,000 “black farmers” signed up for reparations from the Obama USDA after the Pigford case was extended in 2010. That’s five times the number of blacks who were actually farming during the time period in question and would possibly qualify for the reparations.

Pigford v. Glickman was a class action lawsuit against the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), alleging racial discrimination in its allocation of farm loans and assistance between 1983 and 1997. The lawsuit ended with a settlement in which the U.S. government agreed to pay African American farmers $50,000 each if they had attempted to get USDA help but failed. To date, almost $1 billion has been paid or credited to the farmers under the settlement’s consent decree. Democrats want to add another $1.2 billion to the money pot and continue with the reparations.

FOX News Special Report covered this sensitive topic in August 2010:

Now the Obama Administration is offering Hispanic and women farmers over $1.3 billion in discrimination payouts.
The Daily Caller reported:

As part of “a new era of civil rights” at the Department of Agriculture, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced Monday that Hispanic and women farmers and ranchers who believe USDA discriminated against them can file claims to get a piece of at least $1.33 billion in cash awards and tax relief payments and up to $160 million in farm debt relief, beginning this week.

Women and Hispanic ranchers and farmers who feel the agency denied their loan or loan servicing applications because of their race or gender at various periods from 1981 to 2000 can file claims alleging discrimination from Sept. 24, 2012, to March 25, 2013, for a slice of the payout.

“Hispanic and women farmers who believe they have faced discriminatory practices from the USDA must file a claim by March 25, 2013 in order to have a chance to receive a cash payment or loan forgiveness,” Vilsack explained in a statement Monday. “The opening of this claims process is part of USDA’s ongoing efforts to correct the wrongs of the past and ensure fair treatment to all current and future customers.”

In February 2011, Vilsack announced the historic “path to justice for Hispanic and women farmers” to offer them an outlet to receive compensation for past wrongs without having to go to federal court.

This is the third settlement to interest groups the USDA is believed to have discriminated against during the Obama administration.

“When I was sworn in as secretary of Agriculture two years ago, President [Barack] Obama and I made a commitment to mend USDA’s troubled civil rights record,” Vilsack said in 2011 statement. “Since then, we have taken comprehensive action to turn the page on past discrimination. Last year we entered into a settlement with black farmers in Pigford II to address pending claims, and finalized a historic settlement agreement with Native American farmers under Keepseagle that faced discrimination by USDA.”

Obama’s plan has always been to redistribute America’s wealth. This is just a piece of it.

  1. I am un aware of any specific need for reparations for illegals what have been reparated enough already. Get this dope out now. Daily outrages will continue until the reparater is gone.

  2. Another government redistribution of wealth under the guise of rectifying past civil rights abuses. What could go wrong? If it’s like the Pigford case, you can bet half the farmers in Mexico will be filing for a piece of the pie just because they only gave thought to coming across the border illegally and applying for an agriculture loan. The abuses will be so prolific and the idiots who came up with this idea will have no idea how to verify or track where any of the money has gone.

This administration is turning this country into a back-water cesspool of stupidity.

Ineptocracy – (in-ep-toc’-ra-cy): A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

  3. Well, its too late for birth control now. Thanks Barak Hussein.

  4. It is inexplicable to me that Obama is still tied or slightly ahead of Romney.

I mean my God, could the nation be in a bigger mess? Are these Obama supporters quite literally insane? Or are they the Howard Stern targets who think Obama is a Morman and Ryan is his black VP pick?

  5. Obama does not expect to get this. Not with a GOP controlled house. This is just show time teling Hispanics an women he tried but the big bad republicans wouldn’t let him. He needs these two groups to be re-elected and he will use the office of the presidency to do it. H*ll, he already has. There’s nothing the dims like better than putting the republicans in a position of choosing either fiscal responsibility or losing votes. Of course they never heard of fiscal responsibility.

  6. Hard to pry all snouts out of the trough… everytime you think you got em all another little piggy waddles up

  7. Then again, republicans are so squishy they might let him have it.

  8. Nothing more than a city thug LOOTING THE US TREASURY. LOOTING is what he has done for 4 years.

  9. Obama is absolutely looting the Treasury. And decimating the US war arsenal and standing army.

  10. All that is needed for validation is a sombrero, or you can just dress in drag.

  11. No wonder latinos are always smiling while cutting the grass and gathering the clippings.

  12. “I actually believe in redistribution”
    -Barack Obama

“I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody”
    -Barack Obama

  13. I’ve been saying it for almost four years: This administration is all about reparations by any means possible.

It’s a great time to be a subprime parasite.

  14. This is so damn frustrating. We bought a farm a few years ago in Iowa and had a sizable parcel of land in CRP (Conservation Reserve Program). The prior owner had enrolled it for 15 years, getting paid a decent sum of cash each year NOT to farm. I wanted out as I didn’t want to take farm welfare, and was told we had to ride it out for the two remaining years or… get this… pay the government back for everything they paid the prior farmer to stop receiving cash.

We applied it to the taxes and refused to renew. We got angry calls from the farm service agency because they have quotas to make. We told them each time that it is the duty of every patriotic American to not take government money they do not need, especially if we are going to reduce our deficit and debt. I’m sure I’m in some “angry patriot” database because I dared do my part to help reduce the crisis in our government spending.

And now we find out that people who, unlike us, didn’t go buy a farm, are being shoveled piles of cash. We actually moved from the city and started farming and turned cash down. It’s times like this that I don’t feel sorry for the collapse of the nation that will soon face these greedy piglets.
