“Obama SUX – We Did Build This”

Sioux City welcomed Obama with a giant “We Did Build This” sign at the airport today.
ABC reported:
President Obama received a less than warm welcome and a warning upon arrival at the airport here on the second stop of his Iowa visit, which was aimed at recapturing some of the magic the state gave his run to the White House in 2008.
Greeting Air Force One as it touched down under sunny skies and sultry heat was a hand-painted banner draped across the top of an airplane hangar that reads, “Obama Welcome to SUX – We Did Build This.” “SUX” is the airport code for Sioux City.
The message appeared to be a response President Obama’s “you didn’t build that” remark from a July campaign rally, when he was trying to explain that government — not businesses — constructed public infrastructure on which the economy relies. Republicans have used the four words to attack Obama as out of touch with the realities of owning and operating a small business.
Hey ABC- Go to Hell! And quit carrying the damn water for Obama.
You know damn well Obama was talking about small business owners. Quit your deceitful reporting.

It’s funny. Had you not added that last commentary, calling ABC on their disingenuous re-translation of Obama’s true mindset, I was ready to do the same.
The thing is that the media is already so marginalized since they carried so much water for OBama when they wouldn’t vet him. They’ve forfeited all but the last dregs of the public’s trust so I imagine they have no recourse other than to gasp out these last dregs.
If Romney is elected how much validity do you think this media will have? They almost have no choice. When they sold their souls to get this torch bearer for deconstructing freedom elected, they took a risk and I think it’s proving not to have paid off.
Had any of them bothered to ask the majority of Americans if it was wise to trade journalism for propaganda, they might have avoided this. AS it is, attributing single digit I.Q.s to the majority of citizens has reaped for them an enormous cost for their mistake.
Jeannie commented:
Or…they could have taken a look at Oprah’s stellar spiral since she traded charity and interviews for racist reparation rants.

I swear I heard Fox News sometime today report that there were 10,000 folks cheering Obama in Sioux City yesterday and I just can not believe this. But we will probably hear no more of this overestimated assessment – given the palace guard media – those folks Breitbart always said we really at WAR with.
I read in the North Carolina newspapers that the DNC is giving away tickets to the Obama Acceptance speech in the big Bank Of America Stadium free at bars and door to door – like crazy.
And I read some commenters from the Ron Paul camp saying they were scooping these free tickets up like flies to honey just so they could plan on ‘beeing buzzzzzy that day’
Fun research out there folks – as long as the internet stays a bit free :- )

Fox News sometimes bends leftward.
OTOH – There were nearly 10,000 on hand to cheer Romney and Ryan in Jacksonville, FL, yesterday. http://legalinsurrection.com/2012/09/reader-at-huge-jacksonville-landing-romney-ryan-event-place-is-insanely-packed/

The obvious intent of the sign makers was “Obama SUX and we did build this”.
ABC has to bend over and try to explain that the 3 letter code for Sioux City is sux.
Old mophead George Snafalopagus has the gall to say there is no bias in media.
All Barry Channel.

FOX is no longer watch worthy. It used to run here all day. Their left turn took place soon after Beck left. They now carry Obama’s water regularly, and they’ve gotten progressively worse with additions like Jemhu Greene and Sanita Jackson.
If we have to see TV news FOX is the best of a bad lot, but it’s no longer a go-to source for trustworthy reporting.

This Sioux City Journal Newspaper report titled “Politically Speaking: Timeline” reports that ”
The motorcade departed at 5:10 p.m., with a large number of people lining Transit Avenue, many of whom took pictures. We arrived minutes later at Morningside College, where 2,800 people waited for the campaign rally.
Now this is a very well written timeline from a normal kind of reporter who was on the scene at Obama’s Sioux City rally on Saturday.

Hmmm – where are those fact checkers who want to challenge the ‘fire marshall estimates’ that 10,000 were on hand to greet Obama?
I suspect we have every reason to doubt that Obama’s campaign is gathering an iota of the reported attendance numbers (and more reason to suspect that the Romney campaign is gathering far more than what many in the Palace Guard and Unionista media will report)

What? I can read it! 0bama Sux!
This will soon become a new slogan. It bodes badly for my campaign!
I just need more money. Yes, that is it! Moore money… and lipstick!
I will have to milk my Hollywood donors for more money. They are Fat Cats! Michael Moore is a perfect example. He could bail out my crappy campaign for $100,000,000.00! That’s petty cash for him!
But, if my campaign still exhibits Sux Signs I will just take my donor’s money and go home! That would be to the Isle of Man where they can’t touch me! Or my hidden money!
My campaign rallies are shrinking in size and Davy Axelrod has yet another scam to inflict upon my few remaining donors. It’s a version of the Monopoly Money scam. I cannot go into detail at this time because it has not been hatched.
I know my campaign SUX but once I fleece my last few donors it will suck worse. I hope gas prices go higher! Good day.

You know, even his explanation of his “you didn’t build that” comment is dead wrong.
Take the electric grid. Private enterprise – not the government – discovered how to make electricity useful, invented the lightbulb and ran power lines to every home in the nation, building the power grid along the way, though “government” has had a hand in building a dam or two. Even there, though, much of our power source was privately funded.
Or the phone system on which the internet relies . . . Ma Bell built that. Here in New England there are even still a few communities that have lines that Ma Bell installed 100 years ago. We had to make do with dialup internet for years because the old Ma Bell lines that serviced our part of town wouldn’t support DSL. Government has had no hand in that at all except to regulate the phone companies and collect taxes on the service.

_______
Obama did that pretty regularly in ’08 too. Notably, he drew 80,000 to a speech out on the West Coast (Portland as I recall) for a concert by the group “The Decembrists” – named after a Russian revolutionary event. If you happen to be familiar with the music of the Russian Revolution, you’ll find The Decembrists’ music familiar.
You’ll find one of my “favorite” pictures of them if you scroll down this page, ignoring the babble. (Yes, that is Mao’s Little Red Book!) http://thedriveinbingo.wordpress.com/2011/02/06/the-decemberists-are-dead-long-live-the-decemberists/

How exactly does government build roads and other infrastructure? The government takes US taxpayer dollars and hires private companies to build roads and other infrastructure. So, really, it’s taxpayers like me and you (unless you are Timmy Geitner the treasury secretary who doesn’t know how to use TurboTax) and private companies who build the roads and the bridges. Tax cheats like Geitner are still allowed to ride in their limousines on our roads and bridges because we are a kind people.

In my area the ranches were sold off to developers in the !940s-50s. The Developers put in all the streets and curbs and side walks. There were connections to major streets. All the water and sewer and power installed too. Subdivided space set up for shopping, churches, public uses, all with utilities installed. Then when the developer wanted to sell off the housing tracts, the development company transferred the road improvements to the govt-which is city and/or county.
All built by private money and then turned over, all finished.
Further the Obamster doesn’t know or is manipulting data that the tax on the gallon of gas pays for the freeways and overpasses. This comes from PRIVATE parties pockets.
and the Truckers, also concerns owned by private parties or stockholders, pay for the roads they drive over with fees, big fees. These fees go to maintain the roads.
So the “You didn’t build that” line is designed to beat us down and to lie to the country, imo

While “you didn’t build that” has been used as the Reader’s Digest version of what Obama said I actually have seen a concerted effort to play the entire statement as to show the comment in context. You can contrast that with how the media have taken/edited Romney’s comment s out of context that he likes firing people and the editing to make him appear to be shocked by scanners.

“How exactly does government build roads and other infrastructu re?” First, hundreds of highway bureaucrats shuffle papers from one desk to another, each writing numerous pages of opinions. Those opinions are then rebuffed by other bureaucrats, so the process starts over again. Once the process starts over its time for conferences and meetings at numerous places including Las Vegas, Orlando and Atlantic City. Once all of the bureaucrats agree that the Las Vegas Conference is where they learned the most they can now concur that that 10-mile stretch in Boise, Idaho can be re-paved at no more than 320-million dollars, provided the state will share some of the cost. Once the project is approved at the Federal Level, it’s turned over to the state bureaucrats who shuffle paper…………etc…meetings….etc…conferences…..and the cycle starts all over again. Once it’s approved by state and fed highway officials, the EPA then steps in and disallows the whole project after a federal lawsuit is filed on behalf of a ground squirrel. So, in this day and age roads and infrastructure Really Don’t Get Built. But, it sounds good on paper!!
