The Obama White House today stood by their financial commitments to fund the Egyptian regime despite the 9-11 attack on our embassy in Cairo.

The Politico reported:
Despite calls for ending foreign aid to Egypt in the wake of an attack on the U.S. embassy in Cairo, the White House is standing by funding commitments.
Asked on Air Force One Thursday if the United States would withhold aid, White House press secretary Jay Carney said simply: “No.”
Carney also told reporters that the partnership with Egypt continues as the country transitions into democracy — in the wake of President Obama’s comments Wednesday that Egypt was neither an ally nor an enemy.
Some Republicans on the Hill are pushing a change to the bill that funds the government through December to ban foreign aid to Egypt and Libya. A question to the White House for comment on that effort underway was not answered.
So… They’re not an ally, but we’re going to give them a billion dollars in aid anyway.
Makes perfect sense.
