Brilliant!… Obama Camp Releases New Ad ‘Tires’… In Same Week Goodyear Announces Cutbacks

The Obama campaign released this ad Monday on how Barack supposedly stood up to China and saved American tire jobs.
The ad is called “Tires.”
There’s just one thing…
Team Obama just happened to release their ad the same day Goodyear announced cutbacks. Company officials said they’d been doing their best since 2009 but the Obama economy finally caught up with them.
The Gadsden Times reported:
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.’s Gadsden plant will have a two-week reduction in its production schedule this month, a plant spokeswoman said Wednesday.
The amount of the cutback hasn’t been determined.
Communications Manager Jackie Brehm Edmondson said the two-week period begins at 1 p.m. Sept. 29 and runs through 1 a.m. Oct. 14.
“We are continually adjusting our production schedule to align with targeted market segment strategy and customer demand,” Edmondson said. “As a result, during the month of October, the Gadsden plant will alter its operating schedule for a two-week period.”
The plant’s leaders are planning ways to adjust the production schedule, although the tentative plan is to continue modified around-the-clock operations. Once a plan is determined, employees not scheduled to work will have the option of taking vacation time, if available, or may be eligible for unemployment benefits.
Goodyear has adjusted production in varying degrees at all of its North American tire plants this year as a result of lower demand, Edmondson said…
…The plant in Danville, Va., has announced that 55 employees will be laid off, and the plant in Fayetteville, N.C., closed for a week in August for an inventory adjustment.
David Hayes, president of Local 12 of the United Steelworkers of America, which represents Goodyear workers, said the reduction will affect production of 15-inch and 16-inch tires.
“It will be a partial work schedule,” he said.
“We’ve been pretty fortunate in the Gadsden plant, coming through the worst recession since the Depression,” he said. “Up until this year, we’ve been hiring, working overtime, but this year the economy’s caught up with us.”
Bummer. Another Obama success story down the sewer pipe.

Though GM sales may be up 10% (other car companies up much more), this is due to the fact that US Government Fleet purchase up over 73+%!!! This is CRONY CAPITALISM at it’s finest!
And the way OBAMA seized control of GM and Chrysler, devaluing prior creditors, bond holders and equity holders and restructuring with a capital infusion from the Government is similar to what happens in BANKRUPTCY except this way was full of graft and inefficiencies. . .again CRONY CAPITALISM!

These Barry adds are such a load of crap. His false claims about saving jobs, making jobs, all a pantload of crap.
He has done more to discourage workers, destroy wealth, and bring despair to Americans than any president than FDR, the last socialist President who also presided over a Depression. Carter got his chance, but didn’t get four more years to sink us then.

This story is incomplete.
Goodyear is laying off because the temporary import duties on Chinese tires will end shortly (I believe Sept. 30). The US is about to be flooded with cheap imports from China and major tire distributors are selling off their inventory of US branded tires to make room for Chinese products. Most of these imports are low tech, basic tires. So, check the ratings on the tires before you buy.
