NAACP Urges U.N. to Investigate Racist US Election Laws …(Black People Can’t Get ID’s)

The former civil rights group known as the NAACP urged the United Nations today to investigate racist UN election laws. The far left organization says its too hard for black people to get ID’s.
That sounds racist.

CNS News reported:
Charging that millions of citizens, two-fifths of them black, have been denied the right to vote because of felony convictions, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People called on the United Nations this week to investigate America’s “racially discriminatory election laws.”
An NAACP delegation visiting Geneva hosted a panel on the “disenfranchisement” of U.S. citizens and addressed the U.N. Human Rights Council, which is in session in the Swiss city.
A delegate told the HRC that the right to vote was a cornerstone of democracy and that in the U.S. a patchwork of divergent laws and procedures have posed barriers to voting.
The NAACP urged the U.N.’s “special rapporteur” on racism to investigate “racially discriminatory election laws,” and said the HRC should then make recommendations that would restore the political and voting rights of all citizens.
On Tuesday, the delegation hosted a panel on the subject at the U.N.’s Geneva headquarters.
“Today, nearly 5.3 million U.S. citizens have been stripped of their voting rights on a temporary or permanent basis, including more than 4.4 million citizens who are no longer incarcerated,” said Lorraine Miller, who chairs the NAACP national board’s advocacy and policy committee.
“More than two million are African American, yet African Americans make up less than 13 percent of the U.S. population,” she said.
Miller said the NAACP commended Attorney-General Eric Holder for his efforts to “prevent the implementation of recent challenges to voting rights.”

FYI – Voting has Started in Mo. You can send a handwritten request to the Election Board (county or city) and request a ballot. They will mail you the ballot. You can vote at your kitchen table, take your ballot to your local bank and they will notarize it (for free) and you then drop your ballot in the box provided. You can also go to the Election Board in person to vote. It can not be any easier. Get Up – Get Out – Vote !!! ABO

Minnesota recently found 24,000 cases where people had multiple IDs to cheat the system out of duplicate benefits. One guy had 30 different driver’s licenses. Apparently it is far TO EASY to get photo ID.
Of the 24,000, at least some of these guys voted multiple times. Al Franken “won” by 312 votes. Franken was the last vote needed for obamacare. So cheating does have consequences.

The St. Louis Metro Link requires senior citizens to go get a special permit in order to take advantage of the reduced senior citizen fare. They have to not only bring a government issued photo ID but they also have to transport themselves to the location where they apply for the permit.
Why do old people have to trek across town with a photo ID in order to get ANOTHER ID (reduced fare permit) in order to save a few cents when riding public transportation…
YET black people act like it’s a huge burden to get up and go get a voter ID?
Are we really going to impose more stringent requirements for senior citizens to get a discount on public transportation than for people to cast a vote in an election?!

Why should a felon, who flaunts the rule of law, get to participate in the democratic process which creates those laws?
If you’ve already flaunted the law you have no respect for the law, so why do you want to vote and try to influence the law? Why should others obey the laws a felon wants passed if a felon has chosen not to obey current laws?
When did it come to be that someone could declare they shouldn’t suffer a consequence for something they chose to do, just because they didn’t want to suffer that consequence? You know going in that what you’re doing is wrong and that if you’re caught bad things will happen to you, and you deserve all those bad things and more.
And enough with the arguments about blacks being disproportionately imprisoned. That’s only a valid argument if all races offend at equal rates, and only then would prison populations be directly proportional to the general population. Certain races and certain genders offend more than others — the law is not applied disproportionately, the law is violated disproportionately.
