And GM is broke….

GM still owes the US Treasury nearly $30 billion.

GM received $51 billion in bailout funds and has paid Treasury about $24 billion, mostly with the proceeds of its November 2010 initial public offering. Treasury still holds about 500 million shares of GM, worth about $11.5 billion at current prices. But those shares would have had to rise to almost $57 a share from its current price of $23.14 in order for taxpayers to break even.

    In reality Father Ted, we need to see more. And so do you. You need to see what is happening in Syria. You need to see what is happening in Mexico. You need to see what happens in Afghanistan and Iraq. Really, you do. Then think about what you are looking at. Think how harsh, ruthless, and despicable people are in these countries and then come up with a policy to deal with it. Because if you don’t, what you object to seeing today will be next door to you tomorrow. If that happens, you will find the smell worse than the image.
