MASSIVE DECLINE in Democrat Voter Registration in 8 Swing States

Don’t look now but Democrats are in trouble.

Democratic drop in Ohio voter registrations mirrors a nationwide trend.
In fact, Democratic voter registration in 8 swing states outnumbers Republican decline by a 10-to-1 ratio.

FOX News

“Don’t boo, vote,” President Obama often says in his stump speech whenever crowds boo a Romney plan.

The off-hand call to vote may be by design. It comes amid a precipitous decline in Democratic voter registration in key swing states — nowhere more apparent than in Ohio.

Voter registration in the Buckeye State is down by 490,000 people from four years ago. Of that reduction, 44 percent is in Cleveland and surrounding Cuyahoga County, where Democrats outnumber Republicans more than two to one.

“I think what we’re seeing is a lot of spin and hype on the part of the Obama campaign to try to make it appear that they’re going to cruise to victory in Ohio,” Cuyahoga County Republican Chairman Rob Frost said. “It’s not just Cuyahoga County. Nearly 350,000 of those voters are the decrease in the rolls in the three largest counties, Cuyahoga, Hamilton and Franklin.

Frost points out that those three counties all contain urban centers, where the largest Democrat vote traditionally has been.

Ohio is not alone. An August study by the left-leaning think tank Third Way showed that the Democratic voter registration decline in eight key swing states outnumbered the Republican decline by a 10-to-one ratio. In Florida, Democratic registration is down 4.9 percent, in Iowa down 9.5 percent. And in New Hampshire, it’s down down 19.7 percent.

The sad thing is that the Democratic strategy was designed to promote apathy among the American people.

Who’d have thunk it would come back to bite em’ in the ass?

    Strange indeed……….

Have grave yards also vanished in those states??

    Just aksin’

I really think that an overall lack of enthusiasm and turnout on the left will be the diference in this election. For instance, does anybody really think that 20 somethings are coming like they did in ’08? Not going to happen. Be careful and be prepared for anything, these people will not go quietly.

with democrats it doesn’t really how many of them vote, its how many times they vote.

“Don’t boo, vote,” President Obama often says…i boo and i vote, against you and all of your little comrades

  • Sandy

Been a Dem all my life changed to Independent in 08. I think becoming Independent is the first step to becoming a Republican. Made the change to Republican in 2010. I will never vote Democrat again.

Rush said the polls in the week before the election will probably be more honest. No pollster wants to be known as Totally Wrong in 2012. But for an article on AOL to say that Ann Romney is worried about Mitt’s mental state means the lies keep coming.

Without the media running interference for Obama he would be 15 points behind Romney.

  • Sandy

What’s interesting is that although as a Dem you can vote for who you like the fact is that people changing their registrations are really angry with the Democratic Party and want the powers that be to know it.

Gotta agree, Obama is losing small to medium percentages of various groups.

Pissing off Catholics and Jews and will lose 5-10 %
Youth vote…living with parents, no jobs…gotta love Obama right……-10-20%
Black vote…many unemployed, many will not vote and some will simply wake up. -10-15%
Independents are falling to mitt by about 14-16%
Moderate democrats….see he is a socialist SOB and think. Wow what an incompetent narcisitic prick and switch.-5%

I simply can’t see him winning when you factor these in. Besides as pols show Mitt taking leads they will start backing winner.

Debates are critical especially the first one.

I think Romney has this like Reagan in 1980. The undecideds and the wishy washy voters will break for Romney because of his business experience. We can’t afford 4 more years of Obama policies. Obamacare MUST GO.

Cuyahoga County is the armpit of; a cesspool for the Democrat party here in N.OH! And the sad thing is, the folks here in Cuy. Cty don’t do their homework. . .they just keep on voting for Dems because that’s what they’ve always done or because that’s the name they recognize on the ballot (because afterall, most of the folks running for anything in Cuy. Cty simply play musical chairs and bounce from one position or another or, have had the same position FOREVER. . .Cuy. Cty seriously needs term limits!!!)

Wake Up Cuyahoga County. . . we are a depressed area and too many of you are complicit for our downfall because you keep voting for the same ole tired good for nothing politicos! And what happens when you keep voting for these nitwits. . .can you say CORRUPTION!!!

And here’s another problem with Cuy. Cty. . .for every one home in the suburbs, there are two homes in the city limits of Cleveland (this is why Dennis Kookcinich has been in Congress for so long–thank goodness for redistricting). . .and the majority of those folks are the ones who are getting the free phones, food stamps/welfare paid for by guess who. . .those of us living in the suburbs–redistribute my work habits; not my wealth!!!

As long as the Dems have control in Cuy Cty, nothing good will come to the Cleveland area–period! That’s the truth and all of you in NE OH know it. . .but are you willing to do anything about it? If you’re getting those Dem freebies/handouts thanks to my tax dollars, then probably not!

  • Befuddled

Democrat registration down in Ohio plus 100 million dollar free cell phone program equals— registration and voting by phone! It will be like American Idol! It’s so easy to get inside the mind of a Democrat.

As Sandy said, the lies from the media just keep coming. After a recent 60 Minutes’ interview, a football game that later aired on ABC had one of those streaming news lines that recapped comments/developments re Romney, Obama, Ryan and Ann Romney. All were pretty much tailored to benefit BHO and make R&R look weak. But this one made me LIVID: “Ann Romney said she and Mitt have struggled financially.”

I watched it stream by a 2nd time to make sure I’d really seen it and was out of my chair and giving our local station a piece of my mind. Ann had said the EXACT OPPOSITE in that interview. They tried a correction, but I called back and told them it wasn’t good enough and they took it down entirely.

You Republicans and your wishful thinking are really funny. Watch Intrade. It is amazingly accurate, and it has Obama ahead by a huge margin. I know lots and lots of people, and 95% of them are very enthusiastic Obama supporters. My family members here in Colorado, Missouri, and Louisiana all support him. WHAT apathy? If anything, I see even MORE enthusiasm for him now than in 2008. My black and Hispanic friends say the same about their friends and relatives. So be prepared to eat crow, Republicans. Your guy is going to lose.

Let me be clear, my campaign is in the toilet. My numbers are dropping like donkey crap in a carnival!

But, don’t worry. Axelrod and Plouffe will canvas each and every graveyard in all of the 57 states for more votes. That should put me on top!

And, this is super important! Send me $3.00 before midnight! My campaign is going bust! Good day.

Yes, very worried. That’s why this as reported 6AM this morning by 6ABC:
In a bold and risky move, Mother Bethel AME Church cancels service 2 register voters @6ABC reported this.

This is a nationwide effort and Latino churches are invited to join in. In PA they plan to cover large area from Philadelphia to Lancaster.
