Another Obama Record!… One in Sixteen on Disability Today

It’s almost like he WANTS America to fail.
Barack Obama put 3.1 million Americans on disability from June 2009 to July 2012. Obama only created 2.6 million jobs in the same period. (IBD)
A record one in sixteen Americans are collecting federal disability insurance payments today.
Another Obama record.
CNS News reported:
The Social Security Administration has released new data revealing that 8,786,049 American workers are collecting federal disability insurance payments in September. That sets yet another record for the number of Americans on disability.
The 8,786,049 workers taking federal disability in September is a net increase of 18,108 from the 8,767,941 workers who took federal disability in August.
Over the past 45 years, the number of American workers taking federal disability payments has increased four-fold relative to the number actually working.
In August 1967, 74,767,000 Americans were working (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics) and 1,152,861 were taking federal disability insurance (according to the Social Security Administration). That means that at that time there were about 65 Americans working for each worker collecting disability.
In August 2012, 142,101,000 Americans were working and 8,767,941 were on disability–meaning there were only 16.2 people working for each person collecting disability.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), a record 88,921,000 Americans were “not in the labor force” in August. These were Americans who were at least 16 years old, who were not in the military or in an institution such as a prison or a nursing home, and who did not have a job and had not actively sought one in the last four weeks.
This means:
In August–
** 119,000 fewer Americans were employed in August than in July.
** 368,000 people simply dropped out of the labor force in August.
** And, 18,108 people started collecting disability.

Listening to Mark Levin read Obama’s schedule for today. At no point does he address jobs, the US troop deaths in the endless war, the economy, or anything that matters. He welcomes a WNBA star, then he goes to NYC for some campaign appearances and a taping on Letterman. Remember when he said he wouldn’t sleep until everyone had a job? Remember when the Left went crazy because Bush was chainsawing wood at his ranch while we were at war?

When Obama starts gloating about GM and his “4 million jobs” number, let’s talk about the number of people he conveniently put out of the workforce and onto federal assistance. Obama and his followers need to climb back into their limo and drive off a pier. That will be the beginning of a recovery.

This isn’t surprising to me. The current economic situation can raise stress in the average American’s life to the breaking point, where people literally cannot work any longer because of panic attacks, crippling anxiety, and severe depression. True, if the stressor is removed soon enough, these conditions can reverse themselves with a little time. But if anyone is exposed long enough–say, several years or so–these conditions can change the brain and become permanent, or at least chronic and very hard to overcome, even if circumstances change. I suspect this is also the reason suicide rates, especially among unemployed men, is rising like it is. I myself may need to file for disability, but I am going to try to see if I can work first. Assuming I can find a job.

OT…..I’d like to see this published: 70% of our military deaths have happened under Obama’s short watch….and 80% of the wounded have happened under his “stellar military leadership.” It took him long enough to find some wimp assed general to execute this war according to Mr. Apology. Obama is bad economically, bad militarily, bad politically……I guess the only thing he’s good for would have to come from “body man…..Reggie” or some of the other gay men he traveled with in Chicago. Assuming there will be an October surprise…..maybe Obama will come out of the closet. See how well that goes over with his muzzie friends. Hey, maybe they should ask for his Nobel Peace Prize back…..restore some of it’s dignity.

I am on Disability, except I earned mine the ol’ fashion way, I really am disabled. I fought it out with the Social Security Administration for twenty-two months before they admitted that, yes I was disabled even though I had a ton of doctors evidence to prove it.
I resent the fact that Obama doesn’t have the guts to cut these people loose so they can find a way to fend for themselves. Instead he put them on Social Security Disbility further depleating the fund. My worry is that by the time all these people find work the fund will be so depleated that it may have to make cut backs just to take care of the people who are on it because they really deserve to be on it, not just temporarily unemployed. If Romney makes deep cuts in the fund in order to shed the unemployed, and force them out onto the job market, I just hope that he doesn’t cut out the little money I get.
I’m 63 years old and I don’t have any other means of making any money, and haven’t for years. What are people like me supposed to do? And I’m gladly voting for Romney. And you know why? Because I don’t want temporarily unemployed people taking my money from me. I want their butts back to work and stop freeloading off the government. As for Negros, they just need to get off their dead butts…….period! I want Romney to reinstate the Welfare Reform Act and make it permanent. Well, as permanent as anything like that can be. How about making it a Constitutional Amendment, that would do it.

Of course I’m not naive, I know the whole government is bankrupt and doesn’t have a dime except for the taxes that come in every day. That money goes right back out in no telling what. I heard one time that our taxes don’t stay in America, that every dime is paid out in foreign aid. I don’t know. All I know is this is not how it’s supposed to be in this country. We’re not supposed to have 47 million American citizen’s on Food Stamps. There aren’t supposed to be 46% of American working people out of work. Did you know it was that high? When I heard that about three weeks or so ago I was shocked. That’s half the working out of work. I know that if it’s that high there’s no way in hell that there could be enough people still working who are paying taxes to cover all the benefits the Socialist Communist Democrats and big government Republican liberal butt kissers have passed in the past 40 or so years. It started out just being liberals who were passing all the wastful benefit laws but soon the big government Republican’s saw how much money the Democrats were making off of the slush funds so-called helping the poor, and they just couldn’t stand it.
If you want to know who would back another Obama term as much if not more than Negros, and all those who are to lazy to go to work, and would vote themselves a payraise just to keep the money coming in, it’s Republican’s. We know what the Socialist Democrats stand for so they don’t count. Then you have to figure those who are to lazy to work. Then you have to figure those whose profession it is to suck money off the government, and everyone else who backs every Democrat who has ever been in office. And that’s where they come up with those numbers we hear about so often. We hear that half the people in the country don’t pay any income taxes. In my mind that means people who don’t work since that’s the only way you would end up paying income taxes. So if half the country doesn’t pay income taxes that means that over 80 million are permanently out of work.
That’s way to damn many. I’ll bet we could put half those people to work if we replaced farm equipment with human labor. Get it? Picking cotton!

It’s just wrong.” there are legitimate cases but they’re being clouded out by the grifters. we know who Mitt is talking about and the left would like to make it appear to be an across the board critique. consider the workers comp scams and why the need for investigators. human nature……if you expect nothing of people you will get nothing. people will work under the table to avoid paying the same taxes that in part fund their monthly check allotment and government bennies. Mitt is not talking about this man who [disability and all] contributes to society. he puts many to shame.
