Madeleine Albright: ‘I Can’t Understand Why Any Woman Would Want To Vote For Mitt Romney’

It seems like it was just yesterday that Madeleine Albright was endorsing genocide in Iraq.
Now she’s out bashing Republicans.
Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright told the Huffington Post, “I can’t understand why any woman would want to vote for Mitt Romney.”
The Huffington Post reported:
There’s been no shortage of musing over Mitt Romney’s failure to win over female voters. The gender gap is pronounced, and with the efforts of the president’s political team, growing wider. Romney has been criticized for his failure to speak out in support of equal pay for equal work, he’s been tied to some of his party’s more hardline positions on abortion, and has been caricatured as a relic of a bygone era in which women put career ambitions aside.
But for all the talk of Romney’s trouble among women voters, no Democrat has put it in the terms that former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright did in an interview with The Huffington Post on Monday.
“I’m not sure I’m going to state this exactly right,” she said, sitting amidst a sea of convention-related activity and daytime wine drinkers in the Westin hotel lobby in downtown Charlotte. “But I think there are some who believe they are actually protecting women, you know, and that it is better for women to be taken care of. I think women want to take care of themselves, and I think having a voice in how that is done is very important. And frankly, I don’t understand — I mean, I’m obviously a card-carrying Democrat — but I can’t understand why any woman would want to vote for Mitt Romney, except maybe Mrs. Romney.”
Oh I don’t know… Maybe some women want jobs.

Credit where credit is due. She certainly understood that it would be a bad thing to refer to the genocide in Rwanda as genocide. But note that this intellectual paragon of the Democrat party simply announces her ignorance instaed of saying, “I spoke to women who do support him and I a fail to understand their reasoning”. This condescending, sneering admission of lack of understanding is what passes for critical thought. Gee, Madame albright, could it be that the number of women who disagree with you and your buddy on the love of abortion and living their lives like “Julia” might be similar to the number of women who do support Romney? Quantitative analysis; it’s not just for undergrads trying to earn college credits.

Bill O’Really proposed (jokingly) that the Dems should drop condoms instead of balloons when Sandra “the” Fluke makes her speech at their convention.
Since they will not do it, we can still show our disdain for her message by taping a condom, a pill dispenser or a pill to our TV screen. Then when she speaks, we would take a picture of the TV and send it to you to post.
Also, since all the speakers will be celebrating abortion, we could tape a wire hanger to the TV and do the same for each speaker. You could then publish a “Rogue Gallery”.

Albright might biologically be a woman, but she certainly is not one in temperament or outlook, so it is really no wonder why she doesn’t understand someone who isn’t a militant feminist.

She’s right that there are some who think they are actually protecting women, and that women want to be taken care of. Pregnant? Here, have a nice abortion, everything’s fine. No job? Have some food stamps, have some Medicaid. Here’s HUD to help you with the rent, WIC for the baby you didn’t abort, and look, grants to help you get through college!
It all seems so protective, for women who just want to take care of themselves.
Expecting women to have the self-respect to take responsibility for their mistakes, make every effort to stand on their own two feet, and refuse to be coddled, depersonalized, monitored and controlled by Big Daddy Government–well, that’s harsh and mean.
