Figures… After Cutting Ad Attacking Romney as “Birther-in-Chief” – Obama Cracks Birther Joke

Do you remember when Mitt Romney cracked a joke in Michigan about not being asked about his birth certificate?
The Obama Campaign made an ad out of it. They called him a Birther-in-Chief.

Well, today Barack Obama cracked his own birth certificate joke while campaigning in Florida.

Wouldn’t that make him a Birther-in-Chief, too?
Or does it only count when it’s Romney?
What hypocrisy.

UPDATE: Of course the AP completely forgets to mention that Obama attacked Romney for cracking the same joke one month ago.

Why would any president conceal or purposely feed America more questions then answers. Why was it that so many didn’t care. It just seems like the nation in 08 was on some sort of narcotic.

The voters don’t take elections seriously. They were fed a bill of goods and the steeple followed and played right into Obama’s hand.

They are laughing because the Birthers, by allowing themselves to be distracted by a red herring, have made themselves a joke by harping on where he was born. Where Obama was born is irrelevant. The issue which makes him ineligible to be president is hidden in plain sight. It is not an issue of where he was born.. that does not matter. What matters, what determines if one is a “Natural Born Citizen”, is if both parents were citizens… and nobody disputes his father was NOT. His father was a citizen of the United Kingdom. A person born to two American Citizen parents is a Natural Born Citizen, no matter WHERE he /she is born. No less than 5 Supreme Court Rulings have upheld that definition of Natural Born Citizen since passage of the 14th amendment.

Obama is ineligible for the exact same reason Winston Churchill, whose father was British and mother was American, was ineligible to serve as President.

WHO are his parents and what was THEIR citizenship?

Obama is a CITIZEN. Get over it! His mother, Anne Dunham, is a citizen, thus he is too! And all that has happened when the White House dropped the fake Birth Certificate on us (which I believe IS fake)… is to send many, sensing they were close to the quarry, running even faster down what is already a false trail… and even further from the real path they should be pursueing. It is this allowing of themselves to be distracted from the relevant issue which has me aggravated more than anything.

As I said… HE IS A CITIZEN, and maybe even a NATIVE BORN citizen (meaning only that he was BORN here)…. but that does not mean he is legally qualified to be President.

As I already stated (and given the misconceptions about it, I cannot state it enough.. so for the third and final time) his mother is an American Citizen, of that there is no doubt. This makes him a citizen as well. Then of course, some get distracted by the question of WHERE he was born, whether it was Kenya or Hawaii. This is also a red herring, since this too is not what makes one eligible to be President. So there are TWO false trails that so many Birthers spend their time chasing down.

“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

The requirement to be President is “Natural Born Citizen”. The Constitution refers to citizens in many places, but in only one place does it make a distinction… and that is for Office of President. But Natural Born Citizen does not refer to being born in the U.S.A. or it’s territories. It refers to being born of TWO PARENTS WHO ARE BOTH CITIZENS.. No less than 5 Supreme Court rulings, since the passage of the 14th Amendment, have upheld that definition of a Natural Born Citizen.

The reason why our Founders made this particular requirement for serving as President is very real. It is why Winston Churchill, whose mother was American and whose father was a citizen of the United Kingdom… the same two nations Obama is citizen of… could never have served as President. By virtue of parents from two countries, he has dual citizenship… and thus dual duties and allegiances. Theoretically, one could end allegiance to one nation be renouncing one’s citizenship to that nation, but the person simply making a statement does not mean that happens, for certain, in their heart. In any event that is also irrelevant, since Obama will not even acknowledged his dual citizenship, let alone renounce it. Renouncing citizenship would still be irrelevant, since it would not make him “Natural Born”… but it does not matter, since he has not done so anyway. The only REAL relevance any college transcripts that may show him enrolling as a foreign student has is not in showing he is not a citizen, but instead it proves he is a criminal who defrauded the government.

The danger our Founders saw in a President with dual loyalties could arise in a number of ways. Perhaps he would be inclined to give favorable treatment in treaty negotiations, or some such, to a nation he had personal bonds with over other nations which are more deserving. Perhaps it might influence his behavior to the point of leading the nation into or away from war when the opposite is appropriate.

Since nobody argues at all that Obama’s father was 3/4 Arabic, and 1/4 Kenyan… and was in fact a Citizen of the United Kingdom… it follows that both of Obama’s parents are NOT Citizens, thus he may be a citizen, but he is not a “Natural Born Citizen”… and thus ineligible to serve as President.

I smells. And the jobs report. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Someone needs to know that Jobs situation is worse then they are advertising it to be. Obama created nothing. Well, nothing but heartache and heartbreak. And for Obama care, lots of people are getting a cut of the pie.

And now, reported that Obama, I suppose because of his 3 point lead, his campaign is making arrangements for a second term. They are that confident.

So I went to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and I pulled every single month for the years of 2010, 2011, and 2012, okay? In 2010, there were 850,000 net new jobs created, of which 411,000 of them were from the census workers, the temp jobs. In 2011, 1,152,000, and in 2012 so far, 1,017,000. I didn’t include 2009, because those were all losses for every month, and I give Mr. Obama the benefit of the doubt for the first year of his term.

Where he was born is completely relevant since a president’s sole role is to command our armed forces and to protect the sovereignty of this nation. If born outside of the country, obviously the loyalty is to other sovereign nations, not America. And for the record… this is not a distraction. I can multitask and go after Obama for all his illegal activity.

NOTHING should be off the table!

In case you’re not familiar with Article II of the constitution, the requirement is Natural Born Citizen which is defined as born on US soil AND to two US citizen parents. So with that understanding… Obama is definitely not a natural born citizen… and it’s doubtful he is even a citizen which is an entirely different term.

I didn’t read your entire post before commenting above, so my apologies if the tone of my reply was harsh since I didn’t realize you were also making an argument to uphold the constitution.

But I would still like to disagree with your point that Obama’s mother was a citizen. By law, she needed to retain residence for 5 years after her 18th birthday to maintain her citizen status, but she clearly went to Kenya and Indonesia and I’m assuming renounced any semblance of citizenship (if it ever existed) when she married Lolo Soetoro.
