US Marines Andrew McClaren and J. W. Cortes went on FOX and Friends this morning to talk about their new NBC reality show “Stars Earn Stripes”. McClaren challenged lib Stephen Colbert to debate him on the merits of the show.

Cortes and McClaren also blasted international far left leader Desmond Tutu who called for axing the show. Cortes asked, “It’s ironic that the show you’re criticizing is celebrating soldiers, the same soldiers that have given you the right to criticize our show on their backs, with their lives.” McClaren added, “I’d like to know what he’s doing for veterans right now.”

    Desmond Tutu isn’t a United States citizen so our soldiers haven’t done anything for him. Prior to Nelson Mandela’s election the only interaction he had with soldiers was while he was being arrested and harassed. I spent 25 years in the U.S. Army and these guys are just showing how ignorant they are. Not only that, he has a right to his opinion. Quit being such pussies.

    The statement “I spent 25 years (why not 30 or 40?) in the army” sounds as falsely as the “I’m a long time conservative” or “I’m a life long conservative”.

    Every time someone writes something of that kind we know it is a BS…

    Appart from that, Mandela was and still is an avowed commie and a fraud and was imprisoned for an act of terror he commited.

    He began mellowing only when faund himself in prison.

    And finally, thanks to him and his commie criminals from ANC, Sout Africa is milion times worse than she was before the commie takeover and on the fast way to become a new Zimbabwe where Mugabe has murdered with deliberately inflicted hunger (on his very BLACK opponents) more than two milion people.

    Great show. Fitting tribute to our military…to those who serve w/ a quiet valor…they don’t boast about their heroics, so it’s really nice to have real operatives & cops participate & get noticed. Enjoyed learning more about the training & code of the operatives. The show was really well done & has nothing to do w/ glorifying war, rather it highlights patriotic service & the elite skill demanded marines & specIal ops.

    If the show was condemning the military, as most Hollywood movies do, Tutu & his Nobel prize wining friends (terrorist Arafat was also a Nobel prize winner)would not be protesting. Sorry, Tutu & Code Pink, most Americans are grateful for our fighting men & women in uniform.

    On the show, especially like Navy Seal Chris Kyle who called Todd Palin the man he would like to go to war w/ bc/ of his “Rambo” performance in the mission. Palin, the IronDog champ & father of a son serving in Afghanistan, stole the show among the celebrities w/ a display of heart, determination & athleticism paying respect to all the operatives who offered their knowledge & commitment. (Palin was teamed w/ the two marines featured in this video.)

    This is a good show. I can’t believe it’s on NBC, but seeing that Gen. Wesley Clark is the host, it doesn’t surprise me NBC will allow it solely because of him.

    J. W. Cortes gained a lot of my respect on the show. He was in total awe of Todd Palin, he was almost in tears when he was telling Todd how impressed he was with him after the mission, but Todd was more worried about getting the moral up of his teammate than to receive well deserved praise. If you want to watch something very inspirational, watch Todd’s run on the first mission where Navy Seal, Chris Kyle, yes the same Chris Kyle who has 160 confirmed sniper kills, the one who physically put Jesse Ventura in his place after Jesse crashed a Navy Seal wake at a bar, Jesse said we deserve to lose some of the Seals at which point Chris Kyle dropped him with a punch. Anyway, that Chris Kyle is the one who said Todd Palin is Rambo and if he ever went back to war, he would want Todd Palin with him. Good stuff!

    I watched this show and it was enlightening but what I really took away from this show was the actors and their appreciation for our troops.

    Anything that gives them help and appreciates them, IS WONDERFUL. It seems that this administration isn’t giving them the credit due.

    I have for the longest time believed that Bishop Tutu is a communist. If so, he is not a Christian. Communism and Christianity cannot use the same foot path.

    Tutu is that kind of professional preacher who tries to reduce Christianity to a few pious platitudes but no one should be taken in by this because
