Sarah Palin told Todd Akin tonight- Get Out! Sarah went as far as to suggest that Missouri voters support a third party candidate like Sarah Steelman, who she supported in the primary.
“You gotta know when to hold em, and know when to fold em… Todd Akin has got to go.”
Via Greta Van Susteren:
More… Philip James added that sore loser laws in Missouri mean Steelman can’t run in any way.

Palin is 110% right again…third party or write-in is gonna start at 33% – McCaskill and Achin’ are bad candidates – with good funding and a good alternative, the good guys win!! ( even in 2010 Alaska it can happen – not that I’m happy with the result there…)

mentioned i felt something big was going
on behind the scenes several days ago..
this goes a long ways in convincing me there is..
too bad i don’t have clue as to what..
apparently however, both parties are in on whatever it is..

Maybe get Brunner to run as an independent. McCaskill polled the poorest against him of the 3 primary candidates. Akin’s numbers will be in the toilet shortly, since he is down to a 1 point lead today and the seriousness of the situation hasn’t sunk in yet

You have to just love Sarah Palin – “know when to hold em and when to fold em”…..
She is a great influence in all we do in American politics – at least those of us who do not look at her through ideologically tainted/hate filled/Hollywood hate eyes.
You are so right Sarah.
Wish you would be the speaker at the GOP convention to introduce Paul Ryan. This would be beyond awesome.

Regardless of his reasons for staying in, he should now leave. It is beginning to look more and more like the RINOs/establishment Republican leadership and Dems worked either overtly behind the scenes or independently with the same goal of helping Akin win the primary. Details don’t matter, they got what they wanted.
Given that the GOP Senators will treat Akin like a pariah if he wins and essentially blackball him and the DEMs will use him as a weapon against them, he will be worse than useless if he stays in the race. He is in a “no-win” situation. He will be a major distraction and a detriment to any legislation they want passed. For the sake of everything he says he “holds” dear, he should step aside before it is too late.
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN:
Exclusive: Jack Cashill contrasts misspeaking about sexual assault with committing it…
Bill Clinton has the real ‘rape’ problem
Jack Cashill is an Emmy-award winning independent writer and producer with a Ph.D. in American Studies from Purdue. His latest book is the blockbuster “Deconstructing Obama.”
While Todd Akin is stewing in the woodshed, Bill Clinton is preparing to speak at the Democratic National Convention, and the women most offended by Akin’s dumb remarks will be queuing up to cheer Clinton on. Yes, it is a mental disorder.
Jim commented:
Go Sarah!!! We’ve got to get Akin the Albatross off the neck of Republican party.

Gotta love the double standard: Gerry Studds (D) can have sex with underage pages, even taking them to foreign nations; Bill Clinton (D) can rape a woman and get a bj in the Oval Office; Barney Frank can hook up with some guy he met online and the guy runs a whore house out of Frank’s apartment; John Conyers wife is in the big house (like he didn’t know what she was doing) and Anthony Weiner’s weiner become an icon and all we hear from the Democrats are crickets.
Todd Akin makes one stupid statement and every cowardly Republican is running for cover because they don’t have the cajones to stand up to the liberal press.
And we conservatives wonder why we lose?

Retire05: well, you make a reasonable point except you neglect one thing–the lamestream media is an agent of the Democrats, and will bludgeon our candidates endlessly while providing cover for the Dems. Far too many voters still haven’t caught on to that reality, though, I hope more are starting to this time around.

Dear Sarah,
I love you, but on this one, you sound sour grapes: You worked hard for Steelman, but… she LOST in the primary. Elections have consequences.
By the way, didn’t you also support Orrin Hatch this last go-round in Utah? (Uh, Honey, Orrin should have “folded ‘em” long ago.)
The crime here is a stupid statement for which Akin has apologized (too often, in fact).
His record: Solid pro-life… that is a VOTING RECORD IN CONGRESS.
Yes: Let’s throw this pro-lifer who won fair and square in the primary under the bus! That will teach the younger generation to run for office as conservatives!
If Akin is selfish to stay in the race NOW that he has won the primary, where were Palin and Levin and Cornyn, et al, when both Steelman and Brunner insisted on remaining in the primary, thereby giving Akin the advantage? If either one of these true conservatives had “dropped out for the good of the party” before the primary, the other one would in all likelihood be the current nominee.
I for one am not throwing a good man under the bus.
Sometimes principles mean undertaking an uphill battle.
My money is not going to chickensh$t Cornyn’s NRSC.
Opaobie commented:
Akin might be worth fighting for if he really is a true Conservative and has the “right stuff” to survive and thrive in the U.S. Senate. So far, he has failed the first test, and his support structure has collapsed. Unless he wants to spend millions of his own dollars, ads for his campaign will “go dark”, and only McCaskill will be seen and heard by the voters.
Rule #1: When walking through a minefield, don’t step on the clearly marked plungers.
…and certainly don’t pull the pin on a grenade — UNPROVOKED — and stick it in your mouth.

Well put. I will send money to Akin before I will send money to Chickensh$t Cornyn’s NRSC this election cycle!

if we lose Akin but get Steelman or Wagner that won’t be bad-
