Rule #1: When Hosting a High Profile Speaker at a Rally Always Do Your Best to Impress

Yesterday, Michelle Malkin headlined the Occupy the Truth protest and march in Cleveland. Andrew Marcus, director of Hating Breitbart, and I organized the rally. It was the first major rally we organized and we forgot a few details… Like how we were going to get Michelle Malkin from her hotel over to the protest.

So we improvised.
Michelle Malkin arrived at the rally in a security car.

   The plain and simple fact that details were inadvertently skipped over shows how truly grass roots the rally was. If it had been an Astroturf gig there would have been reams and reams of planning down to the smallest detail, such as the lettering on the signs and where the police cars were to cr@p on.

   You know what I get a kick out of..?
   It’s the way that people like Jim and Michelle just wade into a crowd of people. Michelle has a coffee that she stood in line for and they are both walking to the rally.
   Compared that against Michael Moore and Chris Matthews who would never do something like that unless they had their own security team.
