Paul Ryan campaigned in Florida today at a rally that his mother attended.
Ryan told his mother, “Mom, I’m proud of you for the small business you created. You DID Build That!”

Man, he’s good.

Presumptive vice presidential nominee for the Republican party Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) hold a campaign event and makes a speech at The Villages in Florida.

Paul Ryan: “We had a rule in Wisconsin. It’s kind of an unwritten rule: you turn 65; you have to go south for the winter. We call them ‘snow birds’. My mom is a snow bird. She is a Florida resident, and she lives over by Ft. Lauderdale, and she like so many people here, she comes down here for the winter—just like so many folks from all over the country do. You know, my grandma moved in with us—with my mom and me—when I was in high school. She had advanced Alzheimer’s. My mom and I were her two primary caregivers. You learn a lot about life; you learn a lot about your elderly seniors in your family; you learn a lot about Alzheimer’s. Medicare was there for our family, for my grandma, when we needed it then; and Medicare is there for my mom while she needs it now, and we have to keep that guarantee.”

    Ryan is turning out to be a great selection for Romney. The crowds are larger at Romney speeches. The crowds are large at Ryan speeches. Fund raising is up, enthusiasm is up, Romney’s poll numbers are up, and most of all the Alinsky left is becoming more unhinged each passing day.

    They jumped the shark with the Harry Reid lie, “I received a phone call telling me Mitt Romney hasn’t paid his taxes over the past ten years, so the word is out.” Now it’s only going to get worse. When it gets worse, it won’t get worse for us, it will get worse for the liars on the Alinsky left.

    I had dinner with some friends last night, they’re apolitical, and get sound bite news stories. Since they fell hook, line and sinker for Obama’s Eddie Haskel act four years ago, I asked them what they thought about Obama running a negative tone in this campaign, and Obama not talking up his “economic success”, and I got silence from them.

    People are starting to wake up.

    If you do a search “Ryan speech in The Villages Florida” the media is not reporting the size of the crowd. All the pictures that I’ve seen from this speech are tight shots, and not showing the crowd.

    When Palin was down there four years ago she drew around 25,000 people. It would be interesting to see what the crowd was today for Ryan.

    I was at The Villages to hear Paul Ryan. There were different sections to control the crowd. If you wanted to be near the stage, you had to go through TSA. Yep, TSA. Once you got through, the area was surrounded by barriers. There was another section where you could watch on a big screen. People watched from streets & cafes.

    I cannot tell crowd size, but the people were excited and hearing different conversations, the impression I got is people like myself are ready to see a real change in Washington. Joe Biden has hurt the democrats immensely.
